  • The Magura MT5 packs serious power into an affordable package. There's a reason so many pro's are using the MT7, which use the same caliper as the MT5. If you lean towards the gravity end of the riding spectrum they should definately be on your radar.

    Actually Royal Blood is supposed to be blue, in many cultures Noble blood is referenced as blue blood. That's why Magura choose the name for their oil.

      Which comes from pale white people not working on the field and thus showing of their blue veins thus royal blood is blue

    The tightening of the bolts is key. I f’d mine a few years ago. Great review, I’m looking at Magura for my XC rig, the SRAM levels that came on my bike are crap.

    Hey. I was curious to what you’d recommend. I have an aggressive hardtail that I do ride on pretty demanding terrain. I use a 203mm rotor front and 180mm rotor rear. Since it’s a hardtail and the back end can lock up easier, would you recommend the MT Trail Sports or should I go full MT5?? Keep in mind that I am riding aggressively. Thanks! Great review.

    I like the review. Just one Question, if you put a 4 piston caliper in the back for Magura Mt Trail sport they are going to be powerful as the MT5 or the MT5 still more powerful. To be honest the MT5 has a two finger lever an looks to big. I am looking for enduro purposes.

  • @Dark__Thoughts
    @Dark__Thoughts Před 3 lety +1

    Magura has the HC lever blades, which are basically one finger levers that you can swap onto the MT5.

      Hey Arbee, Sram mounts wont work but magura and shimano ones will. If you have any shimano levers around you could use them and just purchase mt5 calipers too

      If you have the mt trail sport I would upgrade that rear caliper and put in the mt7 individual pads. The more stopping power the better on an ebike!

      I'm a fan over the same brake front and rear just a bigger rotor upfront. But there are definitely riders who steer a bit more with their rear brake so I can see why he might use a bigger rear rotor
