Hello Folks!
This video is the start of a New Series that I am calling my Path to Series.
In this series I will be playing every ship leading up to the tier 7 starting at tier 3.
My goal is to showcase my builds as well as How I Play them to help newer players get a handle on these ships.
Im starting with American Battleships!
The intro on these videos will be a little long but contain a lot of info that I didn't include in my Meet The's of ships.
Hope this is something everyone can get behind and support! Together we can make Legends Better!
Hopefully it is enough helpful to destroy potatoes once and for all.Then turn them into good teammates

I dig this series Spartan, I'm sitting around Tier V right now in my grind, and especially appreciated the tip on using boosters.
nicely done. Great guide for the newer players. Even those of us more experienced can always benefit from a refresher in the basics.
This is an outstanding video because you are using your best talent as a central focal point, which is to advise/instruct without losing the fun factor.
Even a seasoned player can learn something from these type of videos as well.
Video Games and real sports share the commonality of mastering the small mechanics as a way to play even better.
Or as I like to tell people, even Michael Jordan still practiced his free-throws year after year.
I speed built my Iowa with George dewey for torpedo spotting he’s maxed out with French dispersion Captain for battleships as inspiration 1 and inspiration 2 is the Russian captain with pen angle. That build just slaps Yamato’s.

This is a great idea i wish it was around when i started playing even now i know i will learn something i haven't gone back and played all the ships again especially the ones i didn't like but i bet some of them will be set up wrong with build and or comanders keep up the great work this is why your the best cc
Already loving this! I started up the US bb line when I first started playing, and I got so many commanders before I even got a second American commander, and then that trend continued, so I got so worried. But then, it happened, I got William Sims and my American bbs have never been so happy.

I’ve found Dallas is a great tech tree money maker. Lot of games in the $300-350k range when player right with booster

That commander is fine and dandy except by the time I passed Wyoming by I still couldn't afford Sims.

Note: with the Hull equipment you can switch between it’s WW1 config and it’s WW2 config

I really like this series. This video on Wyoming has made it possible for me to have fun and pass tier 3 american battleships.
I like it never knew about the bow weakness I’m at tier v now
I almost unlocked the USS Wyoming in another game, but that game is kind of weird because the early Dreadnoughts are considered "top tier" in that game and then more modern but smaller ships are at lower tiers

Good vid bro, on the topic, I’m really sucking on the Pensacola which might be a good vid idea
Lots of people seem to not like the Pepsicola but I really like it. The thing is a glass cannon so it's all about positioning and keeping away from getting deleted by BBs and some cruisers. I play it a little like a destroyer in that regard but instead of sniping with torps I snipe with AP from behind islands and from within groups of allied ships that take the fire.
Great content ideas Mr Spartan, after a coupe years I'm still learning from these videos.
Hopefully the new comers take some ideas about angling ect and help lower our blood pressure during games 😂

I got a question will this be like one a week thing or will this be an everyday thing until it’s done
American ships' guns are measured in freedom units. Wyoming has 12 inch main guns.
You said that for the Massachusetts was the only ship you wouldn’t use Sims for, which commander would you use?
When is the best time to build permanent camo and then level it up? I figured level 6 or 7. Or is it best to just keeping using one at a time

Spartan - can you please explain more why choosing any other captains instead of Sims is a "wrong" choice?
I got Sims and Lee at 16/3 and I actually prefer Lee, and I get very similar results, I just like to have the two extra heals, better speed and rudder shift. Yes, I know at cost of range and dispersion, but when you are getting closer and brawl, the range or accuracy doesn't matter as much.
My inspiration is Cunningham and Kedrov and use Secondary Battery Mod.2 for those pesky destroyers

Are you only doing BBs? I struggle with cruisers. Would you recommend i watch Hipper to learn cruisers better? But i liked the vid. Very informative.
His stuff is worth watching, but keep in mind he only likes one playstyle for cruisers and is fairly dismissive of ships that don't meet that criteria. There's more than one way to do well in cruisers. Low tier cruisers tend not to do well in open water situations and there you need to start thinking about using islands as cover and to break LoS. Tbull's videos address this more fully. I'd watch as much as possible from multiple CCs to get the gist of how to play cruisers and what's possible in different situations.
I'll probably do some cruisers as well but will take it one series at a time and see how it works out

Hey Spartan, can you answer why is detectability by air shorter than by surface? It doesn’t make any sense to me.
It's for balance reasons but planes can spot you through mountains and everything so it doesn't really matter. They don't have to have line of sight to spot you where players do

Great video but I’ll have to disagree the Arkansas secondary build is a killer especially when matched up against 4+ destroyers at tier 3
How do I unlock William Sims? I see I can buy him for 900k commander xp but that's insanely expensive for a newbie like myself.
Do some weekly missions and you get a free commander crate you will always get a new commander until you have them all with the exceptions being the special edition commanders.

I played each one too. My scores were: Wyoming: 58k, New York: 63k, New Mexico: 110k, Colorado: 98k and a wopping 197k for Iowa, my personal best
So where does the 14.3 multiplication come in?
14.3 is the number you either multiply or divide by to see what armor thickness you can overmatch and what size guns can overmatch your Armor.
To see gun size to overmatch your armor you take the thickness of the armor and multiply by 14.3
To see what your guns overmatch you take the size of the gun in mm and divide by 14.3

Why do we have to multiply by 14.3?
Overmatching is when you have a big enough gun to ignore the angle of the Armor and you punch right through.
To find out how much armor your guns Overmatch you take the size of the gun in mm and divide it by 14.3 the resulting number is the thickness of armor your guns overmatch.
You can also see what size guns overmatch your armor by taking the armor thickness in mm and multiplying it by 14.3
You can use this information to better your foes!

Like, what is the mathematical/physics reason behind it. Or is it just something Wargaming simply invented. Because size isn't the only factor to armour penetration, there is weight and velocity and angle. So is 14.3 a constant or is it just made up by the game developpers?

I think you have to activate it. In others English videos when I select the subtitles, appears in Spanish, but in others not. 🤔
@@renealejandropena8913 Yeah the issue comes with actually going through every video and making subtitles and then letting google auto translate them.
The channels that you see with that generally have a person specifically for making sure that it is all done.
