Why did the french fight an allied American ship?
The question that if Richelieu was completed is yes. She was commissioned in 1 April 1940, she managed to be acquired by the Free French force’s and taken to England. Later she served on the British Home Fleet in early 1944. Then move to the Eastern Fleet to fight the Japanese in the Indian Ocean. She was decommissioned in 1967 and then scrap in 1968.
Started playing the game when the Witchita Campaign came out. Richy was my first tier 7 ship. I will always have a special love for her. Then I bought Iowa the same day. Love them both, but Richy has a special place in my heart. My first love lol

Mine to
Richelieu and dunquerque classes were designed to counter german raiders such as deutchland and admiral hipper classes plus italian cruisers. So designers needed a compact and fast ship that can chase fast but outgunned enemy ships. Thats why they put all guns in two turrets and placed them in front of the ship.
I visited the USS Massachusetts in Fall River. From what I remember your correct. The damage the Massachusetts received at that battle is still visible.

I had a 1945 nickel in my pocket and placed it in a metal box, probably a comm phone, on the starboard deck super structure.

Richelieu was finished in WW2, in New York, and served with the British Royal Navy in the Pacific until 1946, when she was handed back to the French

Had a game the other night. I was in the Lenin and had a DD left with me. Against 2 BB and a cruiser. I took too much fire damage and got killed. But the DD did the smartest thing. He ran. Got another cap then hide. Won the game on points. So smart a play. Most DDs would have tried to torp those boats and probably got killed. Great play.
I finally had you in a game yesterday, You were in a Yamato and i was in the Zf6 for the first time

The story about Jean Bart vs. Massachusetts is mostly correct, except for the fact the most of the shots Mamie hit in the Jean Bart did not cause serious damage. But we also have to remember that JB had just one main turret (barely) working, it had basically no rangefinders or any reliable way to plot its shots and it was stationary at the pier
Looking forwards on path to the Vlady, I think Vlady will be my next t7 once I get the credits

I believe Jean Bart only had one main turret. Hardly a fair fight.
I love Richelieu, i play it as a full range dispersion build, its not that bad clearly, while i play my Jean-Bart as an agressive "semi" brawler, the number of things this ship can do still blow my mind, Guns can have 20km of range, it can touch with those magic bullets even at that range, it can brawl with its amazing reload, i put it down to 18sec one time, and the secondaries are freaking good when at range... I won't say french bias for BBs, just Richy is the """best""" tech tree ship atm for me, while JB is legendary tier material, i got almost 300 games in it (1.5 million potentials damage that's the brawler for ya xD) and for me its clearly still the best BB in game today (of course beside Yammy and Conq..)
As for the JB vs Massachusetts, the crew had to make the only one front turret working really fast, while the ship didn't had AA nor secondaries, yeah it got lucky for that shot from Massa. but it was like not even 70% complete and was in port position so front to land but it still managed to hit the american bb.
Would have been hell of a fight if it was 100% but for the worst, from one ship to another there would have been death that didn't happened in reality...
And JB was finished in 1949 while AA was put in '53 but i might be wrong, it was a great BB, not Iowa level of course but clearly Vanguard or better, and France deside to scrap it in '70 i think, like why ? Metal is not expensive and France in 70s was rich, when you know South Dakota was sold for not even 400k$ its frustrating, more when you know France has and had a great fleet and they scrap their biggest flex...
Just finished grinding my way to the Richy today. My first game in it was a win finishing top of the leaderboard with 3 kills. Yeah, this ship needed no breaking in period. Thanks for your your Path To series! I’ve been keeping up with path to the Vlady; the Russians are my last line to grind.

The Richelieu was finish during ww ll the Jean Bart too but it wasn't weaponized
Perhaps a content update to the command wheel that specifically sounds off that you have will to rebuild. Good luck and I have will to rebuild. Makes sense.
Did you mention that hull a allows you to have a fighter plane or a spotter? Hull b doesn’t have that

Hey spartan tell if I am wrong. I was charging into a cap with Cali but the destroyer of my team left away to try and kill a tennesse which killed him and then I killed tennesse and in the cap was an enemy destroyer which i was lucky that he was stupid and I killed him I only ate 1 torp what I am wondering is if it would be better for my team that the destroyer helped me to spot and kill the destroyer and then torp the battleships without getting spotted cuz all the destroyers would have been dead

have u tried putting marksmanship instead of megalomania . If u do that u can still have the dispersion buff Scranhorst gives but u can run madden to get the reload even more lower
That’s what I do on my bismarck with the main battery reload thingy. and i have my reload down to like 21.5 or 22

bruh i always when spawn there go for a and always there is or 5 ships against me or not a single soul and then i start the match in the 10 minute or so

How does will to rebuild work? I just got my first commander to elite, but i dont understand the elite skills.
Once you get below 20% hp if you are close enough to a friendly you will get health regen
how much damage would you consider "good" damage in a battleship Spartan? I usually average about 100k when Im in a battleship and for some reason I always feel like it's not enough lol maybe it's just cause I see people getting like 150k+ often

Fun fact about the Richielieu is while she was the second fastest battleship class ever built with a 32 knot top speed. A little known secret is she was capable of 60 knots in reverse.

Was using the Akatsuki had the concealment down to 5km exact yesterday and now it says 5.1km. No matter what I do I can't put it back to 5 no mattee what is there a way to fix this anyone?

Am I the only one who thinks the destroyer nerf was an absolute joke? My isokase still has a 4.6km detection at tier 3. War gaming really isn't taking it seriously. Give carriers rockets and Italians sap, give us better ways to counter them. They favor the destroyer class soo much and I hate it.
Edit: Pre nerf, it was 4.4km. A .2km or 200m difference. Not even maxed out on the concealment perks and inspirations. Also I don't have the polish commander.
Richelieu was completed. Once she joined Free French forces she was refitted in the US and served in the Pacific. Prior to this she wasn't really fully operational and the British had inflicted fairly serious damage on her at Dakar. Jean Bart was not complete, but her engineering mostly was when she fled France for Casablanca. She only had one operational main gun turret, the other was just a framework. She had a few AA guns welded to her decks that the French managed to scrounge up. She was seriously damaged by Big Mamie in Operation Torch, but was finally silenced by aircraft from USS Ranger. She was completed after the war, but whether she was ever fully operational is debatable. The last ship of the class was Clemanceau, which was about 20% complete when the Germans seized the yard she was in. Gascogne was to be a half-sister and never laid down.

First of all, I do enjoy your videos/streams, but I do have a complaint. I see you, Peek and other content creators constantly crying about getting stuck playing with casuals and newbies like me. Not just complaining, but full blown temper tantrums, especially when you guys are live. Why not play ranked games with the other "pros?" Wouldn't that be a better experience for everyone? When this game has lootboxes(aids), and something like 6 different types of currencies, I can't really take it too seriously, and I'd imagine a lot of these guys with no mics feel the same way.
I totally agree with you. There is no reason to demean and insult new, average and bad players. The reality is we can't all be great players!

They are though. CCs play ranked and blow through it very quickly. Ranked isn't a permanent game mode so of course you're going to see them in standard. If you can't handle that then I'd suggest muting the voice comms and playing AI battles instead.
@@smeghead765 Like I said, it's not me that's raging, if anything I can learn from the better players. Believe it or not I didn't know ranked was something you could blow through and then not have access to.
