    Really like those cold brew bottles, glad you shared! I just use my glass tea pot and mesh basket to cold re-brew the evening’s leaves from my hot tea. Time to step up my game 😁

      Teapots work just fine for cold brewing but I really like having a constant rotation in the fridge.

    I have the same ones, green and black, and love them. They were expensive! It worth it. I love to add fresh fruit and herbs from my yard to the tea too. So many fun things to do with it. Much better than fake fruit flavors.

      It's an investment but I definitely find that I cold brew more often since buying them. I'm working on blog post about some different things you can add to iced tea 😊

    I love cold brewing Japanese tea. Hario stuff is always a good value. I have a few pieces of coffee and tea ware from them.

      Japanese green tea is wondeful cold brewed. I really love how it brings out the umami.

    I have been cold brewing some puerh with delicious results, but I will definitely try some green tea too, maybe with mint. My container is a lidded glass jug, but those bottles are so pretty--I'm tempted to splurge.

      The great thing about cold brew is that you can use just about any container. Green tea with mint sounds delicious!

    I cold brew using (very well-cleaned) glass pasta sauce bottles. Usually around 5g of tea for 500ml water, screw on the lid and give a good shake, refrigerate overnight. Pour through a strainer into my glass. Then I usually re-steep with hot water at least once or twice.

      Nice! Reused jars make great cold brewing vessels.

    I'm not the biggest fan of cold tea but it is nice on occasion. I do like cold brewing since it's so easy. I have a Hario bottle and love it but lately I've been doing smaller batches in an old jelly jar.

      Cold brewing is very seasonal for me. Once the heat and humidity is here I crave it but during the colder months it's all hot tea for me.

    Those bottles are awesome! I love to cold brew but I'm not fancy, I usually use a Mason jar 😀 it works just as well but maybe not as pretty as yours!!!!

    • @teaformeplease
      @teaformeplease  Před 3 lety +1

      Mason jars definitely get the job done too 😁

    I do a "cheater" cold brew by ambient brewing at room temperature for a couple of hours and then pouring over ice. It's a quick method for iced tea when you've ran out or forgotten to start cold brewing the night before

    • @teaformeplease
      @teaformeplease  Před 3 lety

      I know a few folks who have started ambient brewing. I'll definitely have to give that a try soon.

    I have the same jar but have you found a way to easily remove the leaves after emptying the bottle? Tea leaves are not good for the disposal and plumbing so I don’t want to wash too many down the drain.

    • @teaformeplease
      @teaformeplease  Před 6 měsíci

      I pretty much shake them well over the garbage before cleaning. It also helps to have a sieve in the drain to prevent the leaves from going down it.

    Thank you for the demonstration. I just have the same bottle and I'm using it for the first time. Are those naturally tea have caffeine?

    • @teaformeplease
      @teaformeplease  Před 2 lety

      Yes, all tea that comes from the Camellia Sinensis has caffeine. Cold brew is slightly lower since it takes longer to extract everything.

      Not necessarily true that cold brew has less caffeine. Fact is when using boiling or near boiling water you’re technically cooking the caffeine out. Just as cold brew coffee is stronger, cold brew tea can be stronger.

    I love cold brewing but use a Mason jar. I definitely will try this brand's cold brewing bottle.

      Mason jars definitely work great. I go through a lot of cold brew tea so I like keeping a constant rotation with both bottles.

    Can you drink straight from the bottle? or does it feel weird? I wanna take it for workouts and not bring a cup with me

    • @teaformeplease

      I don't think it would work well that way. It's also pretty large, about the size of a wine bottle.
