In this video, we compared a cold brewed green tea with a hot brewed green tea that has been allowed to cool off. We want to test whether its the extraction of the cold water that makes a difference in the taste, or if it is just the temperature itself. Let's get brewing!

Thanks! Heating up liters of water seemed like a waste when I made cold gun powder sencha tea.

I'm glad you like it! Cold brew can be very nice, especially in the summer

is it a good idea to heat up a cold brewed tea?
because this video makes me want to taste both options, the Cold Brew Tea vs. Cooled Tea, and the cold brew heated up vs the classical tea brewing ( I don't know if it is good to say classical).

for some reason this does not work, although I don't know why. It's a good idea though, probably needs more experimentation

Can you cold brew the karigane more than once? Or is there no flavor left in the leaves if you cold brew overnight?

You can cold brew it a second time! The flavor will be weaker but still delicious. By the way, if you are interested in trying some of our teas we have our summer sales going on now: nioteas.com/

You can do this but the flavor will start to get bitter after about 8 hours

Yo bro,im looking to buy some tea. But I want a naturally sweet tea,I was looking out for gyokuro and silver needle. But do you know any other teas that have a high natural sweetness to it?

Go for a white tea, tried gyokur a few weeks ago for the first time & wow, the umami flavour is strong

I just sent you two tea recommendations! These teas are super smooth, sweet and they are currently at a very good deal. Just make sure to brew them with lower temperature water! Also the Karigane I brewed in this video is quite sweet
