Anyone want to see how this build handles Steam OS?
Been asking for years to see APU builds.
And ChimeraOS? 😅
I wouldn't mind seeing performance compared to a series s since their $300.
ps3 emulation.
Yes please!
Awesome build. Not enough people understand that you can have a really nice gaming experience with slightly old tech.
Yep and even more people glasse over the fact they can get a really high end pc that they can buy monthly at reasonable cost
If you are from US
@@jeofthevirtuoussand ahhh yes.... the old "just take out a loan"
Number one way to die in poverty
I understand that because i ja e an i5 2500k with 8gb ddr3 ram with a Gigabyte geforce gtx 1650 4gb d6 oc and a 600w Thermaltake SMART Series psu. It can run most games at 60fps/hz if i get the settings right.
I like these builds since the value is insane.
Just ordered all my parts for this build!! Went for more storage and got a cool looking sapphire RX 590. Thank you for making such great content over the years!
Great video. Nice to see how far older tech can be pushed. I would like to see some emulation tests on this machine as well please.
thankyou so much for this video i just made this exact same build with 32 gb ram and a ryzn 7 5700g like 2 months ago on an online simulator now i`m sure im gonna build it. thank great fan of yours btw good vibes all the way from mexxico
I love these budget 1080P builds these are perfect for students or kids looking into getting into PC gaming and its not going to break the bank and it gets amazing performance!
I say this every time I watch your budget builds: I wish CZcams existed when I was a teenager because I would've totally followed one of these builds and enjoyed PC gaming way more!
Really nice build! Cool to see what can be done for the price of a new GPU by itself.
Love these builds of yours. Value is incredible. Thanks for sharing!
you're a million now!😮 Before you were like 200k. It's not surprising coz your content is interesting also your voice is iconic no error at all
This the exact case I had for my first setup, same mobo, just a few variations here and there. Basically if you want to get into PC gaming and just want to get in the race this will do the job, tune the settings keep it clean and it will do the job for a 1080p output on 90% of the games available. Only the best from ETA 👌
Thanks for a great reality-check video! You and Craft Computing are really spot-on when it comes to low-cost builds and great value gaming! Thanks for all the amazing content.

love these vids always come to them for inspiratin when one of my friends says they want to get into pc gaming for cheap
I like your product reviews. Thank you for the videos!
Missed these price point videos. Interesting to see last gen parts still kicking around at budget!
I love videos like this! My friend built a bargain bin/used part gaming PC for his nephew a couple months ago. Slightly higher specs and slightly higher price than this one, but it performs great and can sit at 1080p/high all day every day in almost any game without any issues. Total money spent was just shy of 400 dollars, and it easily outperforms the nephew's best friend's prebuilt 800+ dollar "gaming" PC that his parents got him from Best Buy.
Glad you introduced new games to your testing!
If you're building a "cheap" PC folks, just remember to _never_ skimp on the power supply.
Always get a name brand PSU that is rated for at least 20% more power than your build is expected to use. I messed up using a £20 unbranded PSU that exploded when benchmarking! Don't risk your safety and your other components.
ETA did it right here, just be careful folks!
Liar
Congrats on breaking into the 1M subs. Love the content and still watch even though I'm very happy with my 7700X / 6950XT build.
Nice option for arcade build, great video as always. You are the Goat! bro.
Great build, I hope this helps a lot of people.
I would really like to see you do some budget upgrades on this and see how it compares
not bad for 2021 tech.Good job!
That's insane for 300 bucks! Thanks ETA.
This is a great build!
Thanks for the all AMD system video ETA!
A little flat-black spray-paint goes a long way on ketchup/mustard cables, a wide Sharpie marker also works well in a pinch. That build looks great...except for those PSU wires.
Very nice build ETA, i wouldve made some small adjustments and maybe dropped a few tenners more to get a second hand RX6600, but a 590 is no slouch either, and sometimes you just need to stick to a budget
Love budget builds.
I recently modernized my gaming rig from a FX 8230e and rx 580 to a Ryzen 3600 and rx 6600 and been happy as hell. My only issue with 580 I had is no matter the fan curve I tried it whined like a 747 at takeoff.
Nice build
Thanks for the video and the explanation is always useful. Can you try this pc with emulators and how is its performance
I always thought that the RX 590 would take a bigger draw and had more connectors, like the R9 290. Now I know, and thanks for the video!
I just build one last week here is how it went:
- Rx 6700 xt 200usd used (facebook marketplace)
- ryzen 7 2700x 50usd (faceboock)
- PC Case 30usd amazon
- 16gb ddr4 3200 30usd amazon
- Power supply 450w 20usd ( ebay)
Bringing everything for around 350-400usd this pc can play even at 4k 30fps and up… good luck everyone
Nice build
@@Aegie thank u
@@kennyplayer7731 that 200 usd for 6700xt was steal. But i saw now that this psu is a little bit bomby😅.
@@Aegie I know right! I was going for a rx 6600 xt 150 in ebay but saw that one in facebook I went the same day with the person it was a reference rx 6700 xt I see no issues with this card and is not hot like the reviews said
@@kennyplayer7731 i wish you more good deals bro. ❤️
That is such a sweet case. Always find it so hard to find them.
I wish i have 300 dollars that i can spend, thats really nice build great job.
My mainboard ! I used 5 of these with my friends and relatives builds too.
Thanks for running sf6!!!!
I love budget pc builds
That's a really nice PC for $300. I love these moderate builds and I found 1080p looks great on my TV. 4k is better of course but I just don't think it's that much better, at least not in comparison to the cost of a 4k machine. I could see someone build this and just get PC Game Pass, they'd be good to go!
I managed to get my rx590 undervolted so it would only draw around 130watts but still maintain over 1500mhz clock. Always go for an undervolt + overclock on AMD cards, they are over-volted from the factory.
I've got a 590 Pulse I was thinking on selling, now you have me thinking about building an iTX 1080p build.
2023 and computing is for everybody!
I bought a used PC for $300 from my local OfferUp. Specs are:
MSI Z370-A Pro Motherboard
i7 8700k
16GB DDR4 RGB RAM at 3000MHz
GTX 1060 6GB
Corsair H100i 240mm AIO cooler
Kediers C570 open air case with 7 RGB fans.
I had to provide the PSU and storage but since I aready had a PC I just took the PSU from it and used it. For storage I bought a 1TB NVME M.2 SSD for about $40. Your $300 build is better than mine in terms of performance but I'm happy with my purchase due to the included AIO cooler and the awesome looking open air case.
I built the same thing for a buddy, almost identical except all off of Aliexpress!
Mine cost a bit under $300!
i used this exact case psu combo for my 100 dollar gaming pc. i got an old lenovo thinkcentre m800 that was being thrown away by my company, case swapped it into the rosewill case that i got on clearance at newegg for 49 dollars shipped
i5-6400 4 core 4 thread
16gb ddr4 oem lenovo ram @2133
GTX 1060 3GB
PNY 500gb SSD
super surprised with its performance, i was playing games with no issues where my rx580 was struggling
Where is the link for the motherboard? Also any idea's if this would play Starfield at 1080p? Love your content. Keep up the awesome work.
I paid over $500 for that same graphics card when I built my PC back at the tail end of 2021. Unbelievable how much prices have come down.
For people that want to go a little cheaper, I recommend to watch for Ryzen 5 3600 on used market, it can be had for dirt cheap.
It feels like just yesterday where ram prices was super high
This is almost the same build i did 3 years ago. Been playing AAA just fine.
you can unscrew the fan shroud and put the amd logo at the top for those with OCD 😁
WOW that rx 590 performs really good for how old it is
seeing this put together is why PCs should be recycled the proper way: by not being ground to silicon dust and metal with a bunch of eWaste, but actually getting used in affordable builds.
That power supply might be fine to start out with, but that’s the first part I would replace with something better.
just built one, came out to a little under 300. same rosewill case, 600w, 580 from ali express, 32gb ram and xeon 12 core 24 thread
It s so similar to my build. Which xeon did you buy?
@@vincenzorossi4828 e5 2670 v3.
There was a problem with what I assume is the mobo, it might be a bios issue though. only 16gb of the ram is recognized, I tried different slots and even got a stick free from the machinist to see if that was the problem but after putting it in it still didn't register more than 16.
If you're gonna use a discrete GPU, might as well get the 5600X for roughly the same price, you get higher base & boost clocks & double the L3 cache due to not needing to share die space with the RX Vega iGPU, and it has PCIE4 as well versus PCIE3 only for the G.
This is a late response, but how much of a performance difference in gaming would this change make?
I got myself a used Lenovo P520 Thinkstation and a vintage PNY GTX 1070 XLR8 on Ebay to upgrade from my old HP Z230 sff with a GT 1030. Mine came with an Xeon W-2135, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 900W PSU all for $180 and the 1070 was about $120 at the time. I didn't buy any drives because I already had my 1TB Crucial MX500 SSD even though it has dual M.2 slots. It's an old behemoth but a large improvement over the Z230 I found in the trash, pun intended. Its limit is Witcher 3 on ultra settings and a couple of HD mods, I get a few graphical errors but for $300 that's good enough for me, the GT 1030 couldn't even get past the opening scene.
Good bang for a buck PC plus it's fare better than the $300 build I did a year ago for my yt video.
Came for the build ... Now all I care about is the little cute drone.
Thank you you saved me money on building a new PC 🥰
Try getting a office machine & pair that with a GPU can save tons, I've made a few videos doing this.
Can you also do emulation test on this build?
Couple of things to note : 400W on the PSU case means nothing, you really need to look at power draw at +12V (current times voltage) . Chinese "590" is actually 580, or even 570 . Good thing - it requires less power, but performance is somewhat lower than regular 590.
The 5600g is a great little APU by itself, sure you're probably going to be playing alot of games at 720p, but going with faster RAM can really help that GPU, i've gotten mine up to 5000C18 while still in 1:1:1 ratio but the GPU becomes unstable around 4600, so if you can get one of those sub $100 kits of samsung bdye 4400C19-19-19-39 kits there is a noticable improvement over a 4000C19-26-26-46 kit
Honestly, i am looking forward to a 7740G
Imagine the performance of a 7940HX, but a possible 120w power budget, with boards that can support 7600C36, ok maybe not 7600, but with the 4nm IO on the Zen4 APUs it should at the very least get noticably faster speeds than the 6nm chiplet zen4 that can generally reach 6200.
Doesn't look too bad? That thing looks amazing. All black with little trace of rainbow on the cable.
Good ol ketchup and mustard psu's takes me back to the good old days.
This will depend on your location though. Easy to a build a pc like this if you live in the US.
FSR is a Life Saver for old cards 😮😮
Hello ETA prime love the vids bro
Thank you
Very nice.
it would be useful - especially for a budget build - to know the power consumption from the wall socket. Some kind of watt-meter for the whole PC - not including monitor. Nice build and video - many options , as you say , maybe a New Ryzen 4500 instead of a second-hand 5600G and definitely try to get an 8GB graphics card, these days.
Abouy 270-290wats gaming, 50-60w idle
good work nice pc
I bought one of these case/psu combos and was disappointed that the psu only puts out 336w on the 12v rail! That’s nowhere near a 400w power supply in my book! I originally was going with a super cheap aliexpress xeon mobo cpu ram combo and a gtx 1060. The xeon has a 110w tdp, so I will have to use all those parts in another build. I decided to go with a b450m mobo and ryzen 5 like yours to get the wattage down. Now I should be at 280w, safely below the 336 max. But your build by my math is 334w max. That’s way too close for comfort for me with a cheap psu like this. All in all, love the video and thanks for the inspiration
Awesome build, personally I'd get the HP Z440 on eBay($110-150) with 16gigz of ram, change the e5 1660 v3 they mostly come with with an e5 2667 v4($40Ali Express) for more cache n slap in an rx 5700xt($150),add a 1TB SSD for $60,16more gigz of ddr3 for $30 n bobs ur uncle,am running all titles at 1080p max settings easy for the same budget as u
I wish youtube had formatting. your text looks squished together..
I think what should be common sense, but should still be mentioned. If buying a used CPU, make sure they have good detailed pics of the pins so you can see if any are bent.

I build a computer recently bought everything used.
Ryzen 5 5600x - $100
B550 matx mobo - $70
Pny 3060 12gb single fan- $160
Gskills 16gb 3600mhz rgb tridentz ram - $30
450w evga 80+ Gold psu - $20
Fractal Design pop mini case - $50
2tb nvme ssd - $70
500 dollar build and good thing it support pcie 4.0.
Excellent value. Now run the same games with the integrated graphics to show how much of a difference the 590 makes.
Not bad performer for the price.
Good video
A different build could with a Ryzen 2600 or 3600, and that money could go towards a Rx 5700/xt, or Rather towards a Better Psu and a 1tb ssd as cheapest m.2 is about $38.
I scored an OEM Ryzen 7 5700 (Cezanne CPU with the iGPU disabled) On ebay for $110. I got it on a cheap air cooler undervolted at 1.25v and all core OC at 4.2ghz. It's the best deal I ever got on a CPU. It's only PCIe 3.0 capable but that's fine because I'm still on b450. Best part is all 8 cores and threads are on a single CCX = RPCS3 sings!
Hey what a deal! Can you link me to the seller? I would like to upgrade my 1700/B350.
Preety cool. Hey ETA Prime, can you check the performance of the XIAOMI Pad 6 Pro with 8+ gen 1 Snapdragon ? thanks.
Since you already got a cpu with a igpu i think it would've been a much better value getting one of the used Nvidia data center cards with no video outputs and routing the output through the gpu there are some models with 24 gigs of vram for little more than a 100 dollars but i get that it's an all amd build
Do you live near DisneyLand or DisneyWorld to get the cool Droid Depot Droids?
Recently took a trip to Disney world and had to pick him up.
@@ETAPRIME Awesome! They are great I have got a BB and R2 unit last year from their. Just got the same BD in May time at Disneyland.

I have an idea, would it be feesable to use 3D printing to reduce the costs further with a printed housing?
I love DIY and 3D printing and seen printers print printer frames! So it should be possible!
I printed a full atx case it took me 3 months and 3 rolls of filament at $25 a roll
The 10100f or 10105f could also be an option if you can find a cheap intel motherboard, I found a 10100f, brand new for 65 dollars on eBay.
Excellent. How can I get msi afterburner to display stats like that?
whats the Gpu union temperature in this case?
How much time were you testing this games?
can make video about budget graphics card for stable diffusion
What is the lowest price/good value GPU capable of ray tracing?
In your opinion, of course.
that pc case /psu combo is insane how is Roswell making any money
psu is a bomb
even the rx480 is a great choice for 1080P. Great build.
You mean 580 ?
@@Tarek_Issa77 no i mean 480
@@JeffBreyer do you mean 480 is better than 590 ?!
@@Tarek_Issa77 uh no. I was merely pointing out that u can get an even better deal on a 480 and its capable 1080p gaming nicely as well
Nice video, love your channel. Would love to see you try to put together a pc that performs similarly to a PS5 or Xbox Series X for the same or lower cost
Better performance than those mini pc options and at a lower price.
Is FSR really necessary with the 590?i mean this is a beast of a card even with recent titles, plus slow paced titles like Jedi,Cyberpunk, god of war and The Last Of Us are supper playable at 30fps med or 60fps with a mix of low n med
Awesome video!! What's the best low profile gpu that can push 2 monitors @ 1080p for productivity? Thanks 👍
rtx a2000, may need a bracket change.
i'd recommend going for a 3600 + rx 5700 instead of 5600g + rx 590, it'll prob run you a lil more but totally worth it.
Such a nice build !
To save even more, you *could* go Ryzen 5 2600 or 3600, since they are plenty of them. And with that saved money, I'd get a use HDD (pretty cheap here) and a good Thermalright Assassin :)
Think you missed the link to the motherboard in the description but idk lol.
Question, but im not up to date on AMD Side, so plz no bashing for it. Since the CPU is a G-Variant. Cant you use the Dedicated GPU as Main GPU and activate Crossfire-X for aditional performance? It worked at the Age of DDR3 with the AM3+ Side APU's , so i wonder if it still is a thing and works or not.
