Yeah Bud I think putting the hole Rocker in was the way to go for the long run, Bryan Man u have a great talent,u doing some things others wouldn't have done. it's going to be a awesome car 👍 U guys have a great week ✌️
Heck Yeah Man your making some huge progress! I think the rocker is fitting really nice! Years ago I'm sure they had a few rockers to choose from when building the car new. Everything is looking good and your more than halfway through the rust chase! Have a good weekend Buddy 👍
Might be a little less than half way. But honestly I am just chipping at it. I should have found a better foundation, but we got what we got and I am committed to fixing it
None of these cars were ever a real precision fit . Some panels were fit higher and lower in different areas get your door gaps close and call it good . Your doing a great job !!
That really pisses me off how someone could treat a car like that by covering up rusty metal. Some people should not own nice cars like this. I’m glad to see you’re doing it the proper way.
If the door is tighter on the top front and tighter to the front on the rocker you need to do some work on that rocker. I never weld the rockers from the outside. I weld from the inside to the outside. That way you don’t have welds to grind down and clean up on the outside.
Solid advice, I was gonna break the tacks at the front and see if I can get it down a little bit. In the middle of cutting out tubs, gonna look at it this weekend. Thanks ☺️
Hey BW replace the whole rocker then it wont be coming back on you at a later date. with all that rust it will come back and get you and you will be bummed out Later Tony
Hey BW 👋, great video on the rocker replacement. It is going to a nice car when your done. Thanks for sharing.
