That subway scene is my favorite! Both creative and really scary. First time I've ever felt tension in the franchise ever since the first movie.

I had so much fun with Scream VI more than the last film. It’s definitely the goriest of the franchise, the acting improved across the board (Jenna Ortega was awesome!) the set pieces are excellent, the characters have great chemistry, and the subway scene lived up to the hype. It’s still nowhere near the level of the classic original, but second best is quite an achievement! Can’t wait to see what they will do with Scream VII.

Totally agree with this! I think her character has improved so much and the actual acting is so much stronger
The kills were creative, Ortega is awesome, Roger L. Jackson kills it (literally) and my expectations were pleasantly subverted at times (the opening scene for example)
The opening sent me for a loop even more than Scream 4
Like her husband, Gale surprisingly survived a concerning amount of injuries

Scream 6 is probably one of my favourite sequels so far. The first time I’ve felt real tension since the second movie, the apartment scene and Gale’s Chase scene in particular had me holding my breath in the theatre 😭
Chad and Tara are basically the new Dewey and Gale, like in Scream 2, Dewey got stabbed infront of Gale, then survive. In this movie Chad got stabbed infront of Tara, then survive.
I love that I’m not the only one who thinks of “he’s a leaking hamburger helper” whenever someone gets sliced in a horror movie 😂
As much as I wish sidney and gale were still the forefront, the new breed have been doing a very good job

Melissa and Jenna showed tf out. The core for have a good dynamic. I love how chad and tara are the dewey and gale of this scream gen. they did some twists on the last gen and did things differently. this was good.

@@mrpenguino1202 yes, and after that he was still alive and even somehow could scream. It gives one more time to think about whether they are both alive or whether it is still time to come to terms with the fact that they really died.
I watched this in theaters and I do not regret it one bit!

The stabbing with Chad is a re-use of Mickey's originally intended death in Scream 2, before the OG script leaked and he was changed to be one of the killers, funnily enough :D
This movie was so much fun. 👏🏻👏🏻 Scream IV is most definitely one of the best scream movies out of the entire franchise. 👏🏼👏🏼 I absolutely loved the brutality of it and how it was so much more violent. ❤️ Great reaction brody!! 👌🏻
I suspected that Quinn was one of the killers and she wasn’t really dead because they really didn’t show us gf killing her just her body and she could have been pretending
I'm so glad you liked it! I thoroughly enjoyed this, I loved the new backdrop, the same characters, the uptick in brutality, the humor, the Easter eggs, and the movie length.

I found this movie so much fun! Literally went in blindly (didn’t even know the cast) and it was one thrill after another. The killer(s) reveal genuinely shocked me cos they keep you guessing through the whole movie, I hope they do something great with S7
This movie has to be one of the best out of the screem franchise and it's so iconic I can't believe in how good it is I'm just sad that they never brought back (Stu That would have been such a good plot twist) And they re just realised something Chad can't die just like dewy he always survives to a point 😢🎉❤

I immediately suspected the detective to be one of the killers. So I got that one, but I also thought the second killer was going to be Chad. It wasn't until Mindy said something about being wrong about the killer again in the subway station, that I thought oh it's going to be the new guy. Never did I think there were going to be three killers. I did however think the brother/son that supposedly died from the car crash was going to be an important piece of information.
It's honestly so good! Saving this reaction to watch tomorrow !!

I feel like that statement applies to the Scream filmmakers who make it more and more violent each film. Guns? Too quick, not enough chances for creative violence. Knives? All chances are open!

All together i don't think anyone noticed how they referenced a death from every series. The fan motive, The gutting, the fall, the van phone call. Etc I really wanna hear if anyone else noticed the Easter eggs

Tara & Chad are sooo adorable I ship so much. Scream 6 is easily my favorite sequel and I fucking loved Quinn's performance. The only way I'd ever accept Stu back is if Sidney's involved lol. I'd rather see Jill Roberts return and it'd be more realistic. Jenna Ortega was so amazing and Mason Gooding was the MVP.
Y’all the next movie having a ending with Stu vs Sam would be ICONIC.

Jenna Ortega will always be amazing in the Scream movies.
FACTS
I REALLY hope she survives to be one of the new legacy characters that will show up 10 years from now with another reboot. She deserves to live if for any other reason she's literally been beat to hell worse then than just about any of the characters. Stabbed 9 times ties Dewey, plus a crushed ankle and she's been shot. Chad's the only other character to take more damage.
scream 5 and 6 are just so much better than the rest imo. like yes scream 4 is also one of the best, but 5 and 6’s brutality levels are through the ROOF and i’m so here for it. still, jill and amber are the best ghostfaces imo. jill was the only one to make it to act 4 and amber was the only one to kill a legacy!

@James because the Ghostface acting was terrible(mainly Bailey and Ethan). That is the point where all the plot holes started. It was the point when they just made the characters feel invincible. And the fact that the motive was literally just a copy of Mrs Loomis is horrendous. They didn't even do it in a "pay homage" way. They just went and copied it, without adding any extra layers like they did in 5
@@JamStan1978 plain revenge has only ever been in the franchise once. Mrs Loomis. Billy and Roman both had layers to them and reasons as to why they did it. Just "you killed my family, imma kill you" is the most boring, plain motive there is
@James not in a franchise where the killers motive is as important as who it was. It doesn't matter WHO the killer is, it's their motive that makes them a good antagonist. Scream VI was obviously paying homage to Scream 2, but just copy pasting the motive was pathetic and lazy. At least with 5, they did it perfectly. It was the boyfriend and their friend, but they added the extra layer of the commentary on toxic fandom

I saw a special premiere screening in 4DX, and I didn't realize what that was. I almost lost my sh*t when my seat moved the first time! It was an interesting experience, but I don't recommend it for horror movies.

I'd like to recommend movie called "Bulworth" from 1998, that unfortunately is quite unknown due to lack of proper promotion when it was released, but possibly one of the best movies I ever seen. It's extremely smart political satire, comedy written and starred by Warren Beatty, another main role is played by Halle Berry.
Would be amazing if you would react to it, it's truly a hidden gem of cinema!

My problem is I always correctly guess the plot and then I get actually bamboozled by a fake death. I was right watching the first scream but then thought Billy actually died, same thing with this one. Near the beginning I thought we’ll Quinn said her brother died last year in a car accident but what if she’s lying and it was actually Ritchie. Then she “died” and I was like welp clearly I got that wrong!
I like how he be screaming the names of the actual actors instead of the characters😭 also, are you going to react to the limited series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story??? you really should it is really good
Fun fact: During my last trimester in school a girl in my class actually said one of those old tvs (like the one who hit stu) fell on her head and she lived so i mean 🤷🏻♂️. I’m not entirely on the “stu is alive” train i rather have another “dead” GF come back (even though it will never happen cus shes actually fr dead and could NOT survive that w/o getting caught) but if done right i wouldn’t be too upset if he (stu) came back in some way

I am hoping that ethan and stu comeback! theyre my favourites, theyre both really resilient and I think that them both "dying" the same way with the Tv would be an awesome comeback. Stu literally got stabbed a bunch, bleeding out and was still tussling with sydney, I dont think the t.v killed him, and ethan got stabbed, after that he still caufght tara and stabbed her, he got stabbed through the mouth in the throat and was still running around, (if he had just left with his mouth bleeding he couldve survived) anyways, this time the tv wasnt on so he didnt get elctrocuted and I think he is also still alive, both characters are rlly interesting, stus motivation and mannersims are so fun, and it was fun to see ethan, he was clearly trying to get the approval of his dad (which was sad) but I think that he was funny too, his lines were SO FUNNY as gf and not gf (same as stu) and I love how he was jealous of richie and love his father had for richie, yet he kinda played the same role, he "didnt" know why everyone freaked out when her phone rang lol! anyways these two are my favourite ghost faces they both went through a lot, they both were extremely brutal, theyre both funny, they both have a thing for the main girl, THERE ARE SO MANY SIMILIARITIES, i hope thy both comeback theyre preformance as gf would be unbeliavably good, STU COULD BE ETHANS NEW FATHER FIGURE OMG I WISH LOL anyways love them :)

I know in the re-sequel... se-requel... serialquel(?) bit they were just drawing the similarities between this and Scream 2; that's why we have the parent of a former Ghost Face appear as the new Ghost Face and the showdown on stage of a theater. But if you think about it there are also odd similarities to Scream 3 as Sam puts on the Ghost Face mask in a private movie theater; the plot set in a large city with a new juristiction involved and seemingly the introduction of a lasting love interest.
So I am wondering whether the next movie might pick up some pieces of Scream 3 but also some of Scream 4; but then again if it also goes back on some of the trilogy elements (from Scream 3) it is also directly tied back into Scream 5 and reveals something that wasn't right about that one.
I kinda hoped that in the killers reveal they will link them to Stu somewhow. The detective being his brother or smt..because Richie kinda resemble Matthew Lillard i still hoping for next time😂

I watched this with my mom and I guessed one killer, she guessed the other. Neither one of us even thought about the fakeout death. Pretty good movie honestly.

6 had a better reveal and a better motive. It always felt like Amber and Richie were fake fans. Like everything they knew was from wiki or something. They had no respect for the thing they loved and instead wanted to kill off all the legacy people even though they admitted it made fans mad to kill their favorites. They felt like movie execs concerned with having more movies and not about appreciating what had come before at all but trying to redo it but better which is 100% an execs thinking! BUT THE CHARTS SAY 🙅🏾♂️🙅🏾♂️
