I would still suffer claustrophobia if a heavy lump of machinery is hovering an inch or so above my face. Wouldnt matter how 'open' the rest of it was.
OH how I wish we had one of these Open MRI's here in St. John's, NL Canada!? I suffer from Claustrophobia and Panic Attacks real bad, they tried to do an MRI on me and I took an attack so bad, they had to remove me from the machine right away and I ended up having to stay to be observed because my Heart Rate shot up too high and my Blood Sugars went down too low, after a half hour I was released, of course I never did get that MRI done first or last and after my experience, they will never get me in one ever again unless I'm fully Asleep?? If it had to be a machines like this one, it probably would have been a piece of cake!!??
