just to let everyone know playing you don't need to shine the lights on any of them on the first part where u slide under the bed. Just sprint straight forward slide under the bed and they won't get u. You can do it with your eyes closed

I have never hated a section in a game more than this one. I would rather have to no-damage play Cuphead than this bullshit and it legitimately makes me despise the entire game.

I was stuck in that last dark room for so long! It was annoying as hell that you just teleport to their hands! The game is great but I hated this part.
Tip for the Big Stoopid room: hug the wall whilst shining the flashlight on the first 2 and slowly move away, then shine it to the next one and quickly turn so that your shining it at the new one and the previous while backing away. then as soon as you see the exit, just run and you should be good.
lol i literally spent like 40 minutes on the second dark part XD I did not know you could aim your flashlight and even whilst knowing, I still struggled
I beat it twice. I never payed attention to the fact that you need to aim for at least 1 second so they stay still. Really fun section once you realize that.

If you’re on a keyboard with no arrow keys Go to setting - controls - keyboard mapping - click the look up, look left, look down or look right and it should say “waiting for input” - then click a key on your keyboard to replace - confirm
Honestly tho I struggle from this level so much. It's hard trying to walk past the mannequin trying to keep the flashlight on them so that they can't get you
I did the same strategy but instead of moving through the maniquines i just went around the three that didn’t move so glad i had the idea almost just not fully
Are you using a controller or a keyboard? Cause if you're using keyboard aiming your flashlight is the arrow keys. I think with the controller it's going to be whatever joystick that isn't the one you're using to walk with.

I figured it out yesterday evening, I just needed a coordinated left and right stick control (right stick for the torch then left in the direction to walk), auto walks backwards if flashlight is pointing at one of the monsters. Just putting this here in case others were struggling too as I thought I missed something on how to walk backwards!
I'm playing with switch and I can't seem to still get him to walk backwards and flash at the same time. The flashlight moves forward when he moves forward even when I try moving flashlight around he only aims for the side I can't get him to walk backwards
Keirly Viveros I was playing on a PS4 controller. I know this sounds strange but sometimes there are glitches in this game. Try restarting from the previous checkpoint then try what I did with the left and right control sticks, hopefully it works. I couldn’t for the life of me walk backwards but when I restarted it magically worked.
@@keirlyviveros3731 sorry if this doesn’t help, however I’m also on the switch and was able to pass the section by holding ZR and using the right joystick (the one to look around) which seems to have a homing effect on the mannequins once they move. I’m not sure if it will work 100%, but thats how I was able to move backwards or any other direction whilst flashing my light on a mannequin, sorry if this didn’t help!

At PS4 or PS5 you need to be a lighthause at mannequin part. Turn around all the time and run forward. It's also hard but after 2 days i did it with this tip for the first time.

The horrible section at 9.01 - stay at the bottom of the screen, this seems to be the easiest method, no need to venture out into the centre of the room. This was the hardest part of the game probably because we are struggling with the controls for the flashlight.

Yeah, no kidding. The ‘collision’ for getting grabbed is just a bit too ridiculous. Been stuck on this section for longer than I care to admit.
I hate this part, the first room is pretty easy you just got to run through it but the next room is hard

The 2 maniquins at around 2:20 are easy to get past if you just run and slide under the bed. The next part is impossible.
I just ran right through the first section. And then past the lockers. That wasn’t hard because I’ve learned not to trust hallways 😂

On PC they made it even more extra difficult.
If you are gonna be using a Keyboard this level pretty much fucks you much more extra .
