Im not a Ronaldo hater but i think its important for future football fans to know who was the greatest, when i was a kid i loved maradonna but if their was someone who people were comparing him to or saying this player was better, as a kid that would have took away the mystique of one of a kind. Today i cant see why anyone who has ever played football could watch them both and say Ronaldo is the best, that simply isnt accurate Messis stats are way above Ronaldo's when you compare their goals to age ratio. If they retire at the same age then messi is going to have 2 years worth of stats that eclipse Ronaldo's. That being said i dont believe scoring goals is only what a footballer should be and Messi is just about a master in every aspect of the game, well except goalie and defence although he can be a great defender at times and weve never seen him in goal lol. Just face it they are 2 of the best but if you are honest Messi doesnt just edge it he demolishes the comparison and come retirement his goals and assists will eclipse anyone even pele. People will look back on these 2 decades from now and say why did we even think there was a comparison. This is not a HATER comment just an honest 1. I love ronaldos skill and stats but the posing and temperement are shocking. He cries when a teammate scores and that says alot about the man imo. I bet Dybala is getting the scorn for scoring all 3 goals the other night.
It is not bias its fact their stats are similar but Messi has 2 years on him so stands to reason Messi will blast Ronaldos final tally, and if you think stats make the greatest player it doesnt, its how you play the game fairly and Messi is fair Ronaldo if he thinks his chance has gone and he feels a touch he WILL go down, to me that is cheating trying to con the ref into a free kick or penalty. Messi on the other hand will always stay on his feet and gets goals sometimes or assists by staying on his feet. No matter how you look at it Ronaldo dives and the only reason a player should dive is he is not confident of scoring. I am not bias all i am doing is watching the games with no expectations and am annoyed ever time i watch Real well when he played for them. Im a liverpool fan and i just have a love for genius whether they are chinese or even russian, i think id draw the line at Russian haha. Messi will be talked about for at least a century and rightly so.
