In what f***ing world does Ronaldo lack talent? He used to be a showboater and had to tone it down to become more effective on wing and later on goal. The dribbling ability and fancy footwork were there from the start, he just needed to screw his head on! All the hard work was to separate himself from being a world class player to one of the greatest of all time. Which is not something 99.9% of elite footballers can achieve even with the hardest work. People really need to get over this "Ronaldo is a product of hard work" mentality.

Watching this video had me in tears, since 2013 when I started playing I've watched these two and instantly fell in love with both of them and the sport. It's gonna hurt a lot when even one of them retires. Messi is my GOAT but I can never forget Ronaldo because he was equally as important as Messi to this sport. I'm glad to live during the time of these 2 players, even if it was a fraction of their career, I'm really thankful.

Regardless you can't really compare them it's like apples and oranges, or comparing a Keeper with a Defender it doesn't make much sense. Even they know they can't really be compared directly to each other. Messi has had the better career in terms of accolades has also played for much better teams. If Ronaldo stayed with Real Madrid longer or went to City instead of United he would competed directly for more accolades. Also the fact that he plays for Portugal and not Germany or France doesn't help either.
