  • A video from a day in the studio trimming a large bowl commission using some new Ovo Lavka trimming tools. These tungsten carbide tools trimmed through this porcelain like butter!

Providing sound that picks up the thickness resting of the walls was great for a beginner to hear.

Trimming scares me Lol. The creating part, no problem. But trimming, ugh. What's your favorite part about creating pottery? Do you like glazing? I like the results of the glaze but not a big fan of glazing. My instructor and studio owner are the same way lol.

I also dislike glazing 😅 I enjoy the making process - throwing, but especially trimming actually, as I find it very satisfying and not as stressful as throwing where there's more risk of losing the piece.

Hi, I love your work. Can you please make a video or tell us what drew you towards ceramics. Did you try it and then fell in love with it or you always loved playing with clay. What are the aspects in the whole process that you enjoy the most? For example when I watched ur videos, I enjoyed the part on wheel but the kiln part kind of scared me. And physically how painful or tiring is this. Any health hazards with working in this environment as I am in my late thirties and want to explore this. Thanks!
