- In this video I show you how to install my Bosch 12" DWS779, DWS780, DWS782, and DWS718 dust collection adapter. The 3D printed chute collects dust at the source.

Just finished the installation on my 780. Very pronounced difference in dust removal. Well worth the price. Thanks!
I have just installed and briefly tested this kit on my 780 and I am delighted to report it sucks up nearly everything. Thank you.
My kids got me one of these for Christmas it finally got warm enough to install it. You did a great job with the video explaining how to install and follow up tests. It’s working great. Thanks
I was your 4th Customer and I am just now getting around to the install, was smart and made sure to watch this prior. Thanks for building this part and putting the video up, I am excited to see the change. Been using saw outside as it is makes such a mess, looking forward to moving indoors with this upgrade. PS: I was secretly hoping for a water balloon ambush.... 😉
Thank you! This is a great solution. It was very easy to install. Wow, what a difference. So much less dust.
Chris, received my kit for my DeWalt 779.....what a difference! I was going to build a huge contraption for the dust - this does the job very well. Thank you!
Great to hear! Thanks for your business and comment, Joe!
Thank you for the update. I can’t wait until this ships out.
I installed mine today. Works great! Thanks.
Great to hear Nick!
I just got done installing on my Dewalt saw. You done good Chris, this is brillant. As you stated in the last step of the directions, it is not perfect (due to the design of the saw), but it is a huge, huge improvement. I wish the best for you and your family recovering from the fire. Carry on my friend, and thank you for coming up with this design.
I just seen that mine is on the way. Can’t wait.
looking forward to using your kit on my DWS779 miter saw
Thank you!
Crystal clear video tutorial. Thank you!
You're very welcome! Glad it was helpful!
can't wait for the D27112 compatible thing
Good work sir🤙
Great! I just ordered one.
Got your order, Nick!
Nice vid, ty
Did I miss the section describing where to use the wedges? I just installed my self printed model, which was easy peasy and I'm impressed with the overall development of it. I do have a couple pieces of feedback. The screw pockets are undersized for the factory screws on my DW718, so I drilled it out to 1/2" and it works. It does however rub on the right side of the blade. Just enough that the blade will skim off some of the PLA, but not cut through anything, so I'm OK with it, but a hair more clearance would have been good. Overall, very nice!
Thanks for printing the kit and for your feedback:
The wedges are for clamping the corners of the rubber gasket, shown at ~3:36 during assembly.
On the screw hole sizing: at least for the 780, (which was the saw I referenced during design) I spec'd the longer cap screws to make sure the chute was fastened firmly. We try to re-use saw hardware when possible, but in this case felt the wider-head screws were too short to have the desired plastic thickness and thread engagement into the casting.
On blade rubbing: Can you confirm what Revision number is on the model you printed? Based on your comment on blade channel clearance, does it say "R9"? Please email me, and I can get you the R10 file which has improved/symmetrical clearance for wider blades than the stock thin kerf. I can't tell who this is from the CZcams interface to get you those files.
Will this fit to my DeWalt DHS780?
Hi would this work wit dcs 727
779 saw I guess is different ? Remove the bevel guide to get old shroud out.
Got mine up and running and was hoping for better results.I bevel cut 8-12" mdf a lot and first try I saw dust flying out.Blade will hit the rubber flap at 45 bevel if you push forward all the way.I have a 3hp shop vac 1 7/8 end hose doesn't fit tight keeps falling off so needs tape.Straight cuts at 0 bevel seems ok. So I guess a little more improvement from stock.
717에는 사용이 불가한가요? 한국으로도 배송이되나요?
This is amazing. Any plans for Milwaukee Saws?
What model? I keep a list of inquires and prioritize based on demand
Hey just watched the video - where’s the best place to order for the dws780 - plus I live in Victoria bc Canada - is that a shipping issue?? Thanks
Hey Phil, there was a link in the description to Etsy. I can also give you a link if you email. Shipping to CA is not an issue, but I'm unable to cover it with my margin so I leave the options up to the purchaser.
I have purchased the 3D printable version for the DeWalt 779/780 and have printed the main body but note it has the tube thread running in the opposite direction to the standard DeWalt vacuum hose.
The version imprint on my print is V7.3
Yes, the thread suits the McMaster-Carr hose referred to, but does not fit with the DeWalt hose I have with my workshop vacuum setup.
Is there a 3D print version with a hose thread that fits the DeWalt hose?
Ross, no there is not. Can you email me a link to what you're describing? If it makes sense to alter the design I'm always looking at options. The tube outlet for user connection (as designed) is the same 1-5/8" OD as the stock port.
Clarifying, I don't think I ever released a 7.3, my earliest print files should have R9 modeled into them. Feel free to email at benchtopwoodworks@gmail.com.
I don't see an option for a 3D printable version. I would like to try that out on my printer.
Hey Chris, what an awesome Idea. How do I find out how much and do you ship to Canada?
Hey Ken, here's a direct link: benchtopwoodworks.etsy.com/listing/1452237262
I do ship to CA!
On a DW779, does this have to be removed to change blades?
Hey Don,
It depends somewhat on the specific blade. I recommend removal (it's 2x screws to remove). I think thin kerf blades can slide past. I'm also converting to a new material that can flex somewhat out of the way.
Do you make one for the dewalt 715?
Actively working on the 715
My
Man
Does it work on the DHS790?
Great question, I don't think so due to the size of the motor, but I haven't tested.
were do you sell them on
I sell them here on Etsy: benchtopwoodworks.etsy.com/listing/1452237262
Not sure how to contact this guy but it sure looks like his dust gadget works. Would like to know if it will fit my, I guess, older DW716 and if so how do i order it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey! 715/716 require a different design. I have a full prototype, but unfortunately, we had a house fire, so I haven't launched any new designs this year. Please check out my DIY prototype videos for the 715/716 solution.
you are not being fair to the stock chute. Since the vacuum was sucking in the cloth deflector, you had sawdust not making it in the chute until you put a piece of tape to add support. Once you did that in my observation most of the sawdust was going into the chute. I found the comparison pretty much equal on both chutes as far as sawdust not making it into the chute. In my opinion there are too many variables while cutting to have a "clean" saw and the surrounding area. Both did their job as they should. Just received the oem chute for my DWS780. I also have the oem dust collecting bag which I plan to use. Can't wait to see what kind of results I get.
Does it work or do you have one for the DWS716?
Hey Adam, no it will be a very different and likely better performing design fir the 715/716
Any Updates? @@benchtopwoodworks
I see this works for DWS718.... will it work for DW718?
If that is the battery model, unfortunately not. It will mount, but the exit interferes with the motor. I'm looking at options.
It does work with my DW718 (not battery).
How do I get one?

You talk WAY too much. Get to the point and stop verbally wondering around!
Thanks for sharing your feedback.
