  • DOUBLE IMPACT | Wrestlers that Succeeded in WWE & TNA!
Succeeding in one wrestling company is no small feat, especially if that company just so happens to be WWE. But what about those performers that not only manage to get over there, but also in TNA too? Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to be looking at today.

He also exploited the death of Eddie, show no remorse for the negligence that causes the death of Owen, buried Zack Ryder for getting over, exploited the alcohol problems of Hawk for TV, interviews the wife of Brian Pillman hours after he died, forced Ashley Masarro to wrestle with a broken arm and denied the face that she was raped (she told him and he forced her to keep quiet) ans made a deal with Saudi Arabia after they murdered a man! AJ Styles was the original star of TNA, and the #1 guy we would think of back in the those days when realizing how important alternatives to the WWE are. They had and still have lots of other great talent, but he was their guy and always will be. It was more than a big deal to see him debut in that Royal Rumble not just for himself and the WWE to have AJ as an asset, but as solid proof that a multiverse of sorts for wrestling has a place when people are just that good.

Kurt Angle And Sting Both Said That During Early 2010's They Both Were Nearing The End Of Their Full Time Careers And Wanted To Be Part Time Wrestlers For TNA, Both Of Them Were Pushing The Management To Make AJ Styles The Proper Face That Runs The Place Of TNA And Make AJ The Guy Who Would Carry TNA For The Entire 2010's Till A New Talent Rises In 2020's. Monty brown was so misused in wwecw he quit wrestling
And booker t was wayyyy past his prime in tna
While in both her wwe runs Vince just didn't get gail kim
Maybe I'd add Ken Anderson/mr Kennedy as he did redeem himself in tna after steroids derailed his career (Vince had him pegged as the white rock) and was well known both places but that'd be it GREAT LIST

Ya really gotta hand it to all of these guys, but out of all of them, especially Mickie. I get she may not be the most famous success story here, but as a woman wrestling during that time, being able to do ANYTHING close to what she did was unthinkable!!! It was undeniably worse in WWE than in TNA due to Vince McMahon’s sexist booking, but women’s wrestling was still considered mid-undercard back then in most promotions. You’d sit back expecting a 5 minute over sexualized cat fight… until you heard Mickie or Trish’s music play.

And Reigns was bound to be successful he just didn't had the right booking, he never had bad attitude or habits behind scenes. He always did what the management told him to, he even went down the card before coming back to main card again. And his return and heel turn after 2020 proved it. Joe was injury prone and also was in his 40'a that seem to be a liability for Vinny Mac he fired him and he got rehired by HHH and he got fired again after HHH influence was gone. Samoa Joe career in WWE 50/50 most of this was due to bad luck, or else right now he would have been in the spot of Kevin Owens mid-card to mainevent player. Not everyone will be successful in WWE.

Out of the MANY mistakes Dixie Carter made while being in control of TNA, her biggest mistake by far was letting AJ Styles walk. There was no other guy on that roster who was a bigger star than him.

AJ Would Have Been The Guy And Was Destined To Be One Who Would Have Ruled TNA/Impact For The Entirety Of 2010's. But Dixie Carter Instead Decided To Pay Cut AJ's Salary Which Led To AJ Leaving TNA And Becoming A Global Star And Ruling WWE From 2016-19.

also ROH pure champion and ROH tag team champion.. Pro Wrestling Guerilla world champion...
Bubba Ray Dudley (or Bully Ray) has also held titles in TNA, WWE, NJPW, ECW, and ROH... he was close to being nwa tv champion or world champion recently, but evidently didn't win.
samoa joe is pretty close, just AEW championships instead of njpw, nxt world champ and wwe US champ. ROH, TNA...
but the one with the most title reigns of all, in every company, even UFC... is the legndary "Vacant"

Booker T didn't do well in TNA. He introduced a Legends Championship for him to wear but soon lost it to someone else. Also there's nothing memorable with his run in TNA aside from doing commentary with Kevin Nash as Chet Lemon & Black Snow.

Seems like they compare the success of TNA run and the post year 2000 WWE run. Jarrett was succesful during Attitude Era WWF, but he only comeback to WWE for Hall Of Fame and sporadic appearance. Nothing interesting happenned during this time.
