Not sure if this guy received a defective stove but partner steel makes the best stove out there. I’ve used many, in many situations and they all worked awesome!! N of 1 I suppose.

I have the jetboil and love it. The benefit out of the gas output is that when I already have the stove out and setup I can connect my Flash to share gas from my 5 lb Ignik rather than use a canister.

I take the alternative view. I also have both, and prefer the Partner Steel. Yes, adjustability is more precise on the Jetboil. It also has the built-in igniter, which is something you didn't mention (I don't think). But if you try to use the on something that is slanted, the PS is much easier to get leveled out. And the Jetboil's compactness is awesome, but it comes at the cost of being fiddly. Oh, and it doesn't have an integrated wind screen. I was trying to cook dinner in the rain on a slanted picnic table after a very long drive and the Jetboil's fiddly-ness and lack of windscreen made me turn to Partner Steel.

How about using an adjustable regulator with your partner stove to help adjust the flame?

I have had the same complaint about camp stove flame adjustability for DECADES. It boggles my mind that Coleman and others have not figured this out.

welcome back brother. I was cross shopping the genesis, partner steel and the camp chef mountaineer. I ended up with the mountaineer because it has optional legs, has decent flame control, and is lightweight for the size. However, it is huge. If you have the space, its awesome.

I think a lot of frequent overlanders lean towards the partner's stove because they run 5# propane tanks and the regulator isn't the awkward 1# piece so many have. I have a GSI and hate that piece with a 5#. The Jetboil was just out of my price range with everything else I needed. Maybe one day!

Nice to see you back! I like the shape of the Jetboil and some of the features. I also love to cook. I honestly am still happy with my $40 2 burner Coleman. It's a little gig, but never had an issue with it and the flame adjusts just fine.
As far as video suggestions, I like when you do the equipment testing like you did with the kinetic ropes.

Hi, Love the tutorials...Glad to hear your going to carry on with CZcams. Can you recommend a good (not too expensive) camping stove for using inside a van ? Especially if I can’t cook outside because of bad weather. I’m in Scotland and it rains ALOT!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Honestly… don’t remember the metal one. But we now modify the plastic ones. Will be making an updated video in a month. From Chernovtsy originally!

Jetboil must be paying you a lot of money to get rid of a $500 stove, because you can't manage the flame, to buy another $500 stove that has to be put together and takes 6 turns to turn off. Oh and the pans suck. I will take a used coleman or maybe a cheap rocket stove any day and spend the extra $450 on, i don't know, a bunch of other stuff.
