Madden 10 or 09 (The Cover with Polamalu and Fitzgerald) is the best imo. Still both great games.

Madden 12 had a super fun team play mode where you could play up to 3v3 with any team you wanted to, and it worked pretty well and was super fun. They took it away after Madden 25, and while the past 2 Maddens have something similar with MUT Squads, it's inferior and not as fun. But running plays a mobile QB like Tim Tebow while the other 2 players are offensive linemen just pancaking people was a hilariously awesome strat.

This is true. I don't have M13, but I picked up 25 and 15 used for cheap, and damn, those games are worse in so many ways to 12. In 25, they made the ball carrier so powerful and effective, it's fun and all, but when you play online, you can no longer play good defense, since anyone with any player now runs like Barry Sanders and Adrian Peterson (the players who made up the covers of the game). In 15, they took out online team play (my favorite feature that allowed 3v3s online), so now only 1v1s remain. What makes it worse is they're probably going to add back online team play in 17, and it's going to be advertised as a new feature.

I'm playing madden 15 for the PS3 and connected franchise, the menu and loading are a mess. Madden 15 gameplay is ok but I feel Madden 12 is a good overall package. I'm going back to madden 12. It would be great if another developer could make a football game to rival EA madden. If someone made a decent CFL or Arena Football game I would buy it.

I have 2 say that a lot of peeps r right this by far is a better game, no repeated cutscenes or players that levitate. The crowd only cheers when the home team scores, celebrations, cheerleaders. If the menus are a let down then hop back into a game & all is well again. What happen stEAl cuz if its in the game, then it was in the game...I heard M15 gets the new beta engine from 13 n 25 its now at 2.0

They need more intense commentary like when you score a last second TD or when you recover a costly fumble or interception.
@Einfinet2K the "oblivious" trait in madden means that Ben Roethlisburger has the ability to move around in the pocket and break tackles to avoid sacks more often than other QBs

What? Lol he's kidding right? You can't possibly say the same exact game as last year with minor tweaks is a 60$ triple A title. This franchise is worse about being the same thing every year than call of duty.

@MarzetJunior I catch tip passes in Madden 12. The tackling animation is all new so that falling helplessly to the ground shit doesn't happen. I don't focus on the blocking in the game too much. But what do you want the blocking to be like? In Madden if you run up the middle the gaps close quick just like in real NFL.
This is a good step for EA and Madden. Big Improvement from last year and yes, still a lot of room to improve. But for me, New Engine (Physics, Graphics, Atmosphere, etc.), Mass Upgrade to Franchise and NFL Superstar and New/Life Like gameplay mechanics.

@ ACEAbridged you're very right, my bro and I spent sometime scrutinizing every single tackle and only 2 out of a whole game looked animated everything else had a great fluidity to it.

@eBraulick Because they're probably playing with default rosters, which don't include the recent trades and signings (that mean's no McNabb), and since Favre has retired (hopefully) there were good odds Ponder would start... or maybe they just wanted to show him off
I've got madden 08 yes that long since I've bought a new one. But is it the same? I know the graphics are way better but im talking gameplay wise. Like using hit stick etc.
This is easily the best Madden since the new consoles came out. I don't understand how it got the same score as Madden 11.
@playmaker026 There are a crap ton of tweaks and new features, the only reason this got an 8.5 was because it didn't add new modes. What mode could they possibly add?

@TheMontageMasters you're right there's a bunch of tweaks, but a lot of it is in franchise mode. Superstar mode is still very bare bones compared to other sports games. And how about they revamp the create-a-team mode? They've been using the same exact logos and features for about 5 years now and it's repetitive. It'd be nice if they started using Team Builder like NCAA does.

when a bomb pass gets thrown the corner and receiver do a lot of bumping and shoving but bcuz madden doesnt do anything without animations and theres no animation for bumpin and shoving they just run side by side and throw their arms up
@dl30wpb if you go to madden nfl online and you go to play someone online it will prompt you to do a roster update, hope this helped

I want to get this but I'm English and my grasp of American football is very basic, when I played the demo it was like another language, what is the best way for me to pick up this game, just buy it and muddle through or learn more about football first?

I feel like Madden 12 is a step back from the last Madden I played, which was 2010. They completely removed the half time recap shows that Madden 10 had. Also, there is a lot of frame-rate stuttering during the player intros at the beginning of the game.

Only thing this game needs is better sideline people graphics head coach,players,etc.also better enviornment graphics new animations on the stadium scoreboard NFL network presentation and player interviews where u can respond on superstar mode
@Sephiroth766 they do it every year. in 2006(when LT was nfl mvp and HAD an easy road to the SB but lost in the divisionals to the patriots) and in 2007(When we limped into the afc championship game with a depleted team BUT gave a valiant effort) were the best years of winning a SB. i just dont see it with Norv as head coach.

only problem i have is that if its a close game say 21 to 24 and u have 1:00 to make a field goal ur players dont play like its that close they just play like its 0 to 0 other then that its a really good game!
@SteelersXbox and look at franchise mode, and superstar mode. how much have they suffered since 07? your looking at it from a purely graphical stand point, look at the features that were in menus and outside of the game. like the 2V2! SO much fun , and then next year its gone!
the play at the end of the review is ridiculous with the broncos and panthers. The running back is moving full sprint ahead and just gets stopped instantly when another player tractor beams him. realistically he should fall sideways and forward since he had momentum building at the one yard line.
There were so many double standards and it's a video I lost count not to mention that on the website the rating was higher than it was in da video review so my biggest complaint about madden is the fact that there is still no wide receiver strafe you cannot turn around and catch the ball and on all madden difficulty setting it is almost impossible to run the ball or defeat the computer

i didnt say u cant catch tipped passes im saying if the ball goes in a certain area (say in between a player's legs) theres no animation to catch it like that so it'll just drop
and players DO fall helplessly to the ground after 2 players are making a tackle
there isnt ANY animation for 4+ man tackles like it was on pro tak
madden has NO physics, all it is is animations
Another negative is the AI putting your players in horrible position pre-play.
Also, can we get some gameplanning please? That would make the game more realistic. I would love to be able to set it to where my secondary shades their zones towards a hot receiver without me having to hit a hundred buttons before every play. Or for my linebackers to fake blitzes in order to make the QB think about an audible. And then, depending on the QB's IQ & composure, he could start to catch on and exploit.
i got madden 12 on xbox 360, and during be an nfl superstar mode, i keep trying to play the game, but everytime i try to play it freezes on the loading screen and have to turn the game off.
Shall I buy nfl 11 or 12? I'm not sure because it differs a lot money

If they fix the coverage physics then madden can become a good game. Also is it just me or does the field of play and players on it seem a bit tight when compared to the real thing?
The speaker in the video didn't even mention the vastly improved tackling system or the rookie franchise development. Also, he said it was better then madden 11 but gave it a worse score than they gave madden last year
commentary can be passed by using the coordinator audio or simply using music in your ears.
