- Madden 12 is still one of my favorite Madden games, and to me, it's easily the best that ever released on the PS3/Xbox 360. This game gave me a fun franchise experience, and one day, I might need to return for one more series.
On my MrHurriicaneLP channel I make sports gaming lets play series. My series focus on building teams and players from sports like baseball and football. I play games such as Madden 22, NCAA Football 14, MLB The Show 22 and more.
My Main Channel (MrHurriicane) - bit.ly/14Sgtdz - Hry
Franchise Mode peaked with this one. Created teams were a thing. Free agency and the draft were amazing at the time plus the team run outs made the game feel way more alive than any presentation style the game does today
I'll take Madden 05-09 on the PS2 by a hair
People forget Madden 11 on ps3/360 was legit probably my favorite next gen Madden
Everyone:

Hello everyone, welcome to Madden 12
This game got me into Madden and NFL so it holds a special place in my heart.
Same! First madden I ever owned.
Jerome Simpson's flip into the endzone as a Bengal was one of the best flips ever.
Madden 12 was the first madden I actually remember playing seriously so it is definitely one of my favorites
Yep 12, 25 and 08 were my favorites in that order
My mum bought me this for Christmas when it came out. I never asked for it and it was such a surprise. I still boot it up sometimes when I go visit. I didn't realise it was the best madden on PS3.
Thanks for bringing back good memories!
Madden 10 has a lot of offline Madden moments btw, that wouldn't take you months to do but it's pretty fun to go back to and play
This and the one with Troy palumalu & larry Fitzgerald were the two that taught me the game of football and still are my favorite maddens of all time
This and madden 10 were arguably two of the best madden ever, but IMO the superior graphics, gameplay, and immersive franchise mode put it over the top. Would love to see more content on this game, especially the fantasy draft cuz for some reason it was just soooo goood on this version
Love you going back and playing these old Maddens. Maybe do that with some other sports franchises.
I requested this on stream and you actually are playing it!!! This is my second favorite madden besides madden 10, which is the first one I'd ever played. I have a lot of find memories of it
Upload 45 min franchise videos and every video include a full season. You could get through how ever many years in under 10 videos
I'd love to see another series on this game.
With updated rosters!
Madden 11 is my personal favorite but 12 is also so good
Your vikings franchise is what got me to love madden and franchise all together. Growing up watching that series was seriously one of the best times of my childhood!
This is the goat madden for me, great video cane!
Wow, they really put in a lot of cool new features for this year's Madden!
I’d say 12 was the most complete Madden on this gen. I would say it’s my fav on the PS3/360 gen. I would go with 17 or 16 for PS4/ONE gen.
Madden 10 is by far my favorite of the 360 era. It was my very first console experience with Madden (was on PSP for Madden 08 and 09) and I was amazed
This game looks amazing! We need a series on it Cane!
This just popped up, but I remember your Vikings franchise from this when I was in HS lol. You turned Ponder into a Steve Young type of player and had one of the best comebacks in SB history in year 2
Mate this this sweet proper enjoyed this and have it at home with my 360
Kinda makes me wanna play it tonight!! Loved the presentation on this and the tailgate etc
Madden just went down hill from here 😢
Madden 03-07 on PS2 were so good and bring back some good memories! M03 had the best soundtrack of all Maddens!
Nah madden 07, 08,09,10 had the best soundtracks
@@somerandomhuman1361 Debatable
I had a cupcake franchise where I relocated the Jags to OKC. I only simulated games and one season we went 19-0. It was magical haha. This and Madden 05 were the Maddens I put in the most time by far.
The only thing it’s missing is the holiday presentations from 2011
I'd love to see you do a throwback franchise on this game or another previous madden. It would be fun to see how the madden league evolves verses how they did in real life.
The first Madden I ever owned and got into heavy and also ofc the reason I discovered Mr.Hurricane
Man I miss this game! Brought back some good memories!
Hey Cane, I remember playing you head to head in a community game on here.
I remember it vividly because I was late picking up my brother from school. He was mad I was late, but when I told him why, he thought his big brother was cool 😎
You won on a last second touchdown (possibly overtime) (I was the Cards and it was in Arizona, not sure which team you were)
This was the madden where I discovered your content.
8:08 - I am back again to talk about Madden 25. Player intros. These were amazing in Madden 12 and were saved for the post season games in Madden 25 to make them feel more special. This is also because they changed the Madden 25 intros to match a CBS style like we see on TV complete with their top team - Nantz and Simms "Hello friends".
Hey Cane. Totally irrelevant here, but HAD to tell you that I was at the Angels-Twins game last night and when Emilio Pagan came into the game in extras, I immediately told my friends this Twins fan I know HATES Pagan for his perchance for allowing baserunners and runs. (My Padres fan friend feels as burned as you do btw.)
And then of course, Pagan serves up the 11th inning walk-off!! The hate is justified. Godspeed to you, Twins Fan Cane.
Well I hope you enjoyed the game more than I did!
This was the last Superstar mode I actually liked. Having you create your player then having them get drafted to a random team instead of choosing your team added to a sense of realism that I think has been missed from that mode. I always test out the Face of the Franchise mode each year, but it just doesn't match up to this.
while i’ve been home from the summer i’ve been playing a TON of madden 12 on my 360
I'd love another expansion team mini series in this game.
I still play this madden all the time it’s franchise mode is so good
I just did a franchise last year on this game! I created a team called the ‘Dirty Thirties’.. with a challenging rule being everyone on the team had to be at least 30 and have no Super Bowl rings. Was a lot of fun but I was barely able to make the playoffs
Sounds cool, who was on the roster? I really enjoyed the fantasy drafts on madden 12, for some reason they were just rlly good.
@@adavis906 I didn’t do a fantasy draft- I replaced the Washington team and kept the players who fit the criteria including Atogwe and London Fletcher, then scooped up dinosaurs from free agency and traded picks for others
Loved this game except for the free agency in franchise. Create a team was elite. Also would love a franchise mini series on this game. For the mini series could be cool if you did 3 games an episode where you play one sim one and then supersim one where you could jump in if you wanted to.
What was wrong with the FA system? I was thinking of picking it up but unsure now
@@Jerbear1022 it was auction based with timers. Not a deal breaker but definitely a little inconvenient
Ah madden 12… the beginning. Excited for this one. You got anything in particular you’re looking for with the Vikings in the preseason?
Awesome!
You should absolutely do a create a league. Wipe the slate clean. Do a custom draft and rename and rebrand all 32 teams. I do it all the time on this game and it a boatload of fun man. It would be a awesome series to watch
i would honestly love to see you return to your vikings franchise and pick up where you left off. maybe just play one season i think it would be cool
Madden 12 on the ps2 was my first ever madden and I played this game constantly
My favorite madden of all time and the first madden I ever played and it probably has the greatest intro in madden history
With a custom team to make it more realistic you should have like an expansion draft where teams protect a certain number of players and you can pick from them
I like Madden 11 better than 12 but I'm saints fan and thats probably why lmao
Madden 07 Superstar mode was the best one.
A series idea I've always thought about is doing a series where you take the team from each year that had the greatest turn around and try to replicate it. Think like the Chad Pennington Dolphins who miraculously turned around a terrible roster into a playoff spot. It's a short season series we're all you have to do is play an offseason and one season. Can you do better than real life? Maybe even flip it and take the teams that had the hardest fall off, like the 2020 Patriots. Can you prevent the collapse?
A new season of Madden 12? Sounds like a good thing!
Something that is so simple that Madden took out and every sports game always have had. Is a starting player lineups.
Madden 13 and 25 were my most played games of all time. On 13 i made a qb n actually had a rebuild during my career on the browns i played maybe 12-13 years on 13. Then with 25 I played about 12 years with a wide receiver. Those two games are the best imo 🤷🏾♂️
Madden 2011 was my favorite. After that it went down hill
Madden 25 (14) has an even better franchise mode, and I will die on that hill. Many people didn't give 25 a chance because Madden 13 pissed everybody off. If EA had just released 12 again with updated rosters while they worked through 13 and just released 25, it would probably be seen as the best.
Edit: 4:29 and there it is. Dunking on Madden 13 and never gave 25 a chance because of 13. I was right.
In this game you should recreate all 32 teams and have your own custom league
i literally bought a copy of madden 12 for the 360 a few hours before this video came out bc i wanted to play it again
Played madden 10/12 last night and am playing madden 11 right now. So much better than newer maddens and EA also doesn’t get my money when I buy older maddens
every Madden between 03 and 12 is better than any Madden that's come out since
3:58 this is still a thing in new maddens inside the creation thing, I just think you just can’t use custom for online play only play now and franchise
Some of yaw really need to revisit madden 25 on the 360. It’s really a great game. There are some features that were removed but the presentation and gameplay are by far the best of any madden game ever.
For the shorter franchises, set a goal to get a player an award, or certain team record. Build a team to get a RB the rushing record... and then just end it then
Madden 03, 07, 12 are my top 3 favorite
The nostalgia
Do a series on ESPN 2k5 they have an emulator on the PC to run 4K with 60fps. And operation sports releases new rosters every year!
You should start another madden 12 franchise.
The layout in Madden 12 is better than anything we've had since too. It doesn't look like Madden 08 or anything, it still holds up well. Madden 11's The Extra Point show was good too.
Man, old Madden was so much better.
Also hurricane I would take a page out of that franchise guy, only play like 4-6 games a year in the reg season then playoffs, and make each video cover a lot of the season. You still get the realistic team buildinn but it’s a lot quicker. Plus sim was always better in these early games at least for teams wins and losses
As a Chargers fan, I too try not to remember Norv Turner as our head coach
I'm playing the PS2 version. I'm on year eleven of a franchise. I'm not impressed with the presentation, which is minimal imo, but it's still massive fun.
I am planning on starting a franchise on m12. But I need a good team idea
Longwell had probably the best name for a kicker, too(!)...
I liked madden 11 more then 12 but 12 was great
Cane, what was the best Madden on the PS4/Xbox One generation in your opinion?
announce what team youre gonna use for madden 23 pleaseee
I had last played Madden '02 back when it was new, and then during the start of the pandemic in 2020 I had a hankering to play Madden again so I got the newest one... I was surprised how many features it DIDN'T have and how little the gameplay changed! I play NBA 2K regularly and a NBA game from 2002 is way less advanced than a modern one, the games have changed substantially even if releases can seem the same when compared between subsequent years, but Madden barely seemed to grow at all (and had a lot less franchise features, as far as I could tell).
Pretty quickly I realized you could do crossing patterns all day and never get stopped by the CPU, and then I got bored with it.
2012 sounds like what I was expecting to get from a modern day Madden, like being able to make your own teams and uniforms and whatnot. You could do that back in the day, but for whatever reason they cut out established but fun features in the modern Maddens (maybe 2021/2022 Madden is different but going by how they're received I assume they're not).
(NBA 2K has lots of its own problems that I could go into detail on all day, but the gameplay has at least changed a lot. Still, the recent NBA 2Ks also suffer from missing features and some gameplay tweaks that I think are bad. Personally, the last good NBA 2K in my opinion is 2K16. What I'd really want is to have college basketball games again!)
My favorite madden game ever
Yeah it's pretty amazing.
I miss these Vikings uniforms. Heavy grape Kool aid vibes
Madden 03-09 on PS2 are all great games honestly. I just can’t seem to play them because of the graphics and some of the controls.
Aw memories. This is the madden where I first found your channel because the disc drive on my ps3 stopped working so I couldn't play myself
When the screen didn’t have a million graphics on it
I thought when you exported your Vikings team, I thought you would play with them, not play against them. I was watching in the 1st quarter and thought you were on defense
"Wow, I can't believe the Chargers missed a go-ahead field goal with under a minute and a half to go"
As a lifelong Chargers fan, I can very easily believe it...
Madden needs to take a page out of 2k’s book. We should be able to add expansion teams!
when they actually had refs on the field
Do a 32 created team custom league. That's how I play these old games
Make a series
The 1st year that cowboys stadium opened right
I played this one competitively and it's still the best one in my opinion
2002 and through like 2008 we're really good too though just didn't play those competitively
25:12 - Regarding potential: This is what was both good and bad about progression. Players don't get better because they play well. they play well because they got better. You get better at practice, at the gym, studying film. Not because you put up stats. Potential is a way of simulating that. Now your A potential 74ovr backup QB can progress while you start your 81ovr veteran. in PS2 madden, players in the depth chart were completely fucked in progression, whereas potential allowed rookies buried as backup s and third string players can improve and earn their place in the league just like what happens in real life.
Madden 25, here I go again, found a very good solution with XP that is earned in combination with you performance and practice and matching the scheme of the coach to the scheme/style of the player to get the best out of them.
Could you create ur own formation and plays in this Madden?
Hey cane I want to do a career simulation on you. Where’s the best place to reach you for that
last truly great madden
my favorite on ps3 was madden 11 thats the one i spent the most time on but 10-12 were all great. I dont know how to record with the ps3 though, I assume everyone posting ps3 era madden gameplay are playing on pc? I just posted some madden 25 (aka madden 14) gameplay and probably gonna do some 15 and 16 as well but would love to be able to go back and record some ps3 era games like 11 and 12, can anyone tell me what they are using to do that?
Madden Mondays bro 🥲
Madden 12 is hard to beat with all of the sliders for better gameplay
I played this on the Wii
I take another franchise revamped honestly I'd love seeing another franchise on this one just for nastelgia purposes
I believe Madden 10 had tailgating too lol or at least more fan cutscenes that was the first madden I really committed to and try to build something with
Would love to see a series on that too but 12 is clutch as well
Madden Stream tomorrow?
