Out of all my madden covers that one has the most damage to it
People never talk about NCAA 05. It introduced hit stick for NCAA there was camera shake at opponents fields, hot and cold composure for players, senior leaders, balancing the sidelines, etc. A level for me.
The wr dropped passes were a huge issue that year

I’ve played NCAA Football 2014 since release and still play it from time to time now. Best NCAA ever. To this day there are tackle animations I’ve never seen happen I can play Madden 19 for a week and see every tackle animation in the whole game. Coaching trees recruiting was made so much better easy S tier took everything great about 2013 and made it better

It's no coincidence that Madden 08 was a great game. That was the year they actually had competition (All Pro Football 2K8). Competition brings out the best. We desperately need an alternative.
Saying it was great because of 2k8 isn't really true. Madden had been great the past 2 years without competition, some would argue 06 & 07 were better than 08. Madden was just in their golden era at that time.
@@EricRayweather I'm talking 360 and PS3. I haven't played a ton of Madden 08 myself, but I always hear amazing things about it. In my opinion that may have been because of 2k making a game for 360 and ps3 that year.
@@RamenRobbie Madden 08 PS3/Xbox wasn’t great, but it was the first real 7th gen Madden game. Play Madden 08 on the PS2 and you’ll see all the things missing on PS3. I rate the PS2 version a 9 and the PS3 version a 6. Nice graphics tho
@@jonitalia6748 I just played NCAA 10 for the PS3 and am disappointed. I need it for the PS2, it and Xbox are hands down the best sports consoles. I feel like I can't judge the game without playing it on one of those.
@@drewmow NCAA 06 is the deepest and most fun. NCAA 14 is the best-looking and the modded versions on PS3 with the updated rosters and fields feels special.

Damn bro I got so much to say.
First off yes Tecmo super bowl is what started it all. Think how insanely deep that game was with full stats And teams real players it was bonkers. As for Madden, 10 was my favorite overall. Hand down the best Madden. And game day the original for PS1 was amazing. The graphics coming off the 16 bit era was ground breaking. The same kind of excitement for when I first saw NHL for Sega genesis.
But I remember getting the 360 and paying extra to get the 360 on release date cause the Madden cut scenes looked amazing, but boy was I disappointed. And tbh I never once played 2k 05. I know I heard it was amazing but I always stuck with Madden through the years. And when 2k came out Madden was at the top of their game. Great video bro - I love your channel man Keep up the great work and START THE COUNT DOWN FOR MADDEN 20!!! Fingers crossed it's what were hoping for!!!

With all due respect to one’s opinion, madden 12 NOBODY will forget. MUT was super competitive and fun. The game had so much to do and was extremely involved. I can say that you aren’t wrong for putting older games towards the top because people won’t forget certain games as listed
The amount of time I spent playing Madden 05 on my PS2... So many hours, so much fun. This was the ultimate NFL experience and has not been surpassed yet. Madden 04, 07, 08, 2k5 were close but there's just something about Madden 05.
Also gotta give a shout out to Troy Aikman football. That game was so ahead of its time and played so smoothe for the time. The first NFL game I played where I finished a season and man what great memories.
Love to hear how people truly enjoyed one or two games. For me it was SOCOM 1 and 2

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. You forgot Mutant League Football! One of my favorite games of all time on the Sega. Bought it for XBox One for nostalgia purposes, and it’s still pretty rad. Otherwise, pretty solid video.
Madden 12 is my childhood, i know its just a typical madden game from the ps3/xbox 360 era, but it's so nostalgic
I just thought I'd let you know that Madden 13 actually did have a franchise mode it just wasn't called franchise mode. Sure it wasn't exactly the same but the coaching career mode or whatever the heck it was called was basically the franchise mode in Madden 13. So they didn't actually completely gut franchise mode.
NFL Fever is an S tier. Players ratings would change after every game dependent on how they played. Gameplay was great and you can't forget about creating your own plays.
NCAA 14 was an S Tier game period.
Yeah IMO that is still the best EA football game so far.
Madden 10 was a beast. Had all the elements of football. Chain gang. Referees discussing calls. Loved the slower speed

NFL fever was probably the best football game you could do it all
Street 2 is my fav. The environments, game modes, gameplay it was like you were really playing pick up games with your boys. A game like that today with better online would break the internet. And NFL HC 09 is still my go to football game for franchise mode type gameplay nothing Madden has done since measures up to that game.
I'm curious.....what would it take for you to give Madden 20 an A or S tier rating?

Techmo Super Bowl was on the original NES btw.Also, Backbreaker was fun playing on the Defensive side of the ball, but was VERY challenging playing on the offensive side of the ball.

Kayman234 gameplay wise 14 was much better and one of the best football games but depth and recruiting were better in 13

I don’t think 04 and 05 should be in S tier because they’re just the culmination of 08, I’d put them in A tier to make the s tier games seem more special, but that’s just me.

You know I dont get the hate for Madden 19. I avoided it just like 18. But then it went on sale for $9 on Xbox One so I picked it up. Granted I only play Franchise mode but I'm having a ton of fun with it.
BTW Tecmo Super Bowl on NES is in it's own league! It's not just the greatest football game of all time, it's right up there as one of the greatest games made. Period!

Madden 12 has to be higher. The last Madden game with a fun Franchise deserves a solid B tier at the lowest. 13 should honestly be a E considering it was the beginning of the downfall.
