Is anyone gettinng lag and stutter issues after season 2? I had no issues yesterday night ans today after the update the game is unplayable
Latency and desync is the keys to out of region connections with 300+ ping warriors.
Looking at Steam charts people aren't 'coming back' it's had peak players in the 20k's for 6months, it's very stagnate, which is better than it falling off I suppose. I enjoyed my time with the game at launch, played for around 4months, hit max level, farmed out all weps, got BiS crafted gear, was in a warring company that owned 2 zones(sometimes 3). We literally exhausted the content. I hope the game has a resurgence once it's had more time to cook.
Yah take a break and come back at the Expansion this Fall. The Gear Score Increase Reset, Mounts, New Weapon and more.

I’m biggest complaint is it’s almost impossible to find people to run lower level dungeons. It really dampens the excitement of getting to the required level only to not be able to do the content.
On top of that, it's really annoying that all PVP content is locked behind a lvl/GS wall. If you're not a lvl 60 with 625GS you can't participate in any Outpost rushes, 3v3 arenas, wars, etc... which sucks big time
Should be PvP queues for GS up to 624 and a separate one for 625.

As someone who started playing two days ago then immediately brought all my friends, I can confirm that it is because they put the game on sale.
There's nothing wrong with the beginning and middle, it's the non-existing end game and all the core PVP systems like territory control, the elephant in the room.

Im still not seeing enough change in this game to want to go back unfortunately, its a good game but they fell over so much at the beginning by releasing a half baked game that it just feels like there is nothing really new and inspiring coming out. Just revamps of old failures, even the new zone is just a redo of an old boring zone they had.
The fact that the clan system is still so bare bones after this long when its a core feature within the game blows me mind.
Hopefully in another year or so itll do a No Mans Sky and have a good flip.
It's like why waste time and energy investing in something that has no return.

New World can NEVER do a No Man's Sky. The difference is in developer integrity. No Man's Sky has had 24 named content updates since 2016's launch and they have never charged a single penny more.
Amazon Games...not so much, they charge for items that you can literally not get in game and even after multiple reports over a 6 month time span, STILL do not deliver. Its literally criminal.
1,000 players returning to a game with 10,000 active players is a huge jump. Sure. Enjoy.

I want to return back to the game. This is kinda selling me, but I have no one I know that plays it. How do I get bane gear and preventf rom getting gate kept?
I play solo most of the time. I don't do expeditions. I solo Q OPRs. The game seems to be going towards raids and grouping up to do things. The time spent to group up is more than the time taken to do the actual thing. If group content is necessary to progress, then this game is probably not for me.
I am on the same boat, i love group content only if finding good group is not time consuming, also not a fan of time consuming raids.
Same for me dude, I play solo since release & sometimes doing group with random people in world tour/ open world mob or Opr. Tbh I’m afraid doing group expedition now cuz make a mistake and waste their time 😂
I can say myself that i took a year long break when voidbent was bis.. And so far I can say I'm starting to love new world as i started a new account and a new grind and its amazing that opr and dungeons are not the only end game things you can do

Wow people came back to check out a new season.. breaking news. It will die even faster than last season. The sale has a bigger impact on the player numbers than the mid season 2 content.

Just started New World, feels super fun so far as an Runescape player... Enjoying the grind. There are things I'm really... Hesitant about of, such as Player Support from the horrors I've heard, but can't be worse than EA so... I do hope the content they are doing for Seasons stay, I don't think it's beneficial for the players or the health of the game to vault content, it breaks the continuum personally, and creates this hollow point like in Warframe etc. My Question in regard to the Seasons is... Are you able to go through the rewards if you've purchased the pass, even after the season has ended?
Nope. Season 1 just ended yesterday. If you missed out, thats it. So if you bought the season pass 2 days earlier, you have to buy another for Season 2 that just started too.

The idea of FOMO is subjective and usually if it's set behind payment method steers player interest else where as consumers have become more aware of the malpractices. Awareness to being screwed is at all time high. Short term benefits for these companies are still massive, but if the players refuse to fund this, it creates loop of necessary action from companies to find ways to beneficiate the investors. I can't express how crucial this is for the health of games, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the community and the game evolves as it already has. However, the ball is on the players court now.
There is NO player support. I purchased an item at launch time. It was taken out of the game by accident. I showed them how and where with multiple reports and I never got the item back (this was an item paid for with real money through amazon, not in game gold).
I have another issue from 2 months ago where I was not rewarded from an in game activity and 3 reports later I have not received a single email. Yes I checked spam and yes I made sure they had the correct email address.
This alone should tell you their postion on the game. They want to make stuff to sell, but not spend any money on fixing what was already sold. That by definition is a cash grab.
New world state right now: Still doesnt have enough content, and still feels like its in beta.

I'm around level 30 and was thinking of coming back to the game to finish it. I have changed my mind now with all the talk about gatekeeping.
I went on hiatus during season 1 and definitely can't recommend the game to anyone until they rework gear. playing now would be pointless as all of our gear would be obsolete
the amount of time and gold spent on multiple gearsets for PVP and then to have it be useless will absolutely have a HUGE impact on the players in the game. why not just make the gear you have still viable and able to upgrade through expeditions, raids, OPR etc. create more content that gets the PVP community involved. the ONLY reason this game is still around the PVP. remove the PVP players you will have DEAD servers. SO now everyone has to toss their multiple sets in the trash and start over? GREAT JOB AMAZON.
This is the way they believe works for them, musical chairs meta, slot machine perks and disappearing achievements and rewards so you can keep pulling more pull tabs and spending more coins to no end.

there is roungly 4100 people combined between US East and west. 100 people PER WAR. the average live player count on US east is roughly 600. ive done the research. do you realize that the PVP folks have have 2-3 accounts that are also counted as "live" so in reality you could probably divide the total account by 2. 80 percent of the player base being PVE, nice joke. the PVE is a joke in this game. there is nothing you need from pve in this game that cant be crafted or dropped from PVP. how about this awesome summer event! copy paste of last year LOL. time will tell, there is zero mmo that has a combat system like new world and the PVP is what keeps a large portion of game around. go ahead and take away the pvp players and watch what happens to territory upkeep and everything else involved. no one cares about mutated gens i can buy 6k shards for 15k from. same shit different day for pve.

It might be possible that they will rotate different raid bosses per season and that boss will recycle in a future season. So, it's unlikely a waste of development time -- only if this is what they are/will be doing.

Not sure where to ask this but I was mass reported 2-3 days before leaderboards ending(first session) Was rank 3 in OPR, got banned.. Appeal penalty but they will not unban. Any ideas, is my journey of new world over forever?

Add more weapons. Get rid of ALL bots. Get rid of ALL lag in towns.
Sad to say me and my friends won't be playing this game anymore.. because the lack of content and how stale the game got...

It’s good untill you reach level 60. And gearscore 625. Then You just quit. Really wish they would add something like dark zone from the division survival mode, enter with like 20-40 players last player standing has a chance to get some insane rare drop. Taker tree outside of the survivor mode, the more kills/higher rankings more points you can slowly upgrade you’re talents inside the survival mode.
If they made gypsum orbs a material to craft exactly what you want that could timegate it in a way that requires doing other content.

So besides the botched loadout implementation which doesn't solve the core issue has there been no other QoL improvements since Brimstone release?

@@z543 For starters implementing a real gear swap system that let us change gear sets for crafting and refining (already exceeds their caps), pve and pvp that include weapon/stat changes. The ability to hang up all my trophies (theres no reason this can't be a thing, replacing or choosing is a waste), searching via text through inventory or all of my storages at once, moving the storage drop down to tabs on the side that are easy to click through, removing or reducing wards so you don't need to farm 57 sets or change half way through dungeons (it would be just Ward or Resiliance thats all encompassing or better yet one potion).. To be honest, I haven't played in forever but those are just a few off the top of my head. I'm sure theres a million more obvious ones that haven't been resolved over the years.

- I agree on swap system sets. We need more free sets bc theyre over 20 sets.
- I agree on weap tree/stat change while swappin to a gear set. makes much more sense
- Trophy should be able to swap it anytime. They are looking into this issue and they made a Ultimate Trophy feature where u can combine 3 trophies into 1 now.
- Season 2 now has a better search filter for inventory and storage. check it out!
- Yah too much scrolling. maybe make it a tab/folder system
- Ward/Bane will be gone end of this year! my wish is be removed at Expansion release

another big update , you can search for gear by perks in your inventory . you need to put the perk between square brackets . example . ' [resilient] [ele aversion] ' will give all gear with those two perks
I was actually really excited to play arpg style seasons where everyone starts at level 1 but I will not be playing new world now.
remember, just because rewards are underwhelming in a paid battlepass, doesn’t mean it isn’t PTW

Tbh I'd say go with either. Gw2 has the "experience" and tons to do, and New World is really good too, their pop just died at times until an update.

why is every feature people have been begging for since launch paywalled? Gear sets, transmog, trophies, prob mounts aswell is stuff everyone should be able to access nomather how much gold or cash you got. I see regular players dont think this is a problem, but as a player that left the game and looking for reasons to return this keeps me away from the game. Whats next, have to pay for more storage space? They should focus on giving the huge crowd that left the game reasons to return, not squeeze as much money out of the 10k regular players still keeping up with the game

is good seeing new players around, but just like Fulgoris a few months ago.. the main story in brim is now bugged & players cannot progress past it. Basic errors like that which stop progression (and some glyph access) affect the moods of players. Fulgoris took a few weeks to be fixed. I hope they can fix the brim thing quickly.. The mission is 'The Demons Cauldron', use azoth staff at a shield, but there is no prompt to do so when at the location. Plus the one sentence broken audio from quest npc's have never been fixed. That makes the game look in a poor state for new players.

Hi i am a destiny 2 player just checking out NW. On release NW had 900k players but now it has ~15k players daily. My biggest question is..are the 885k players okay with buying a full priced mmo and never play it regularly? maan i wish I had that kinda money to throw away.

Fun game to level through, but the endgame gearing is one of the most rubbish systems i've ever seen. The whole need to re-gear for the content you want to play is horrendous.

Yeah I joined for game sale. Super surprised to see how bare bones the game is. Expected a little more depth. Story is also garbage
New expansion in s3, gear reset, mounts, if theyd manage to squeeze in cross server dungeon finder i think it would he their best attemp at bringing some of the player base back

Thanks for doing the lords work Baggins. I played this game religiously and the main reason I left was the player count and grind. I really love a bunch of things about this game like the audio and feel of the game mechanics. But I found it to be tedious to craft leather every morning I logged in. It started to feel like a job and I think that was the biggest reason why I left. I felt bad if I didnt craft everyday because of the cooldowns.
My thoughts exactly. At some point it felt like an obligation to craft stuff. I also started to feel continiously overwhelemed by my storage and all the items and gear that I could potentially need at some point.
Are we going to be able to take a raid groups of say, 6 players into an expedition?
in my honest opinion and this is coming from someone who bought the game on release and saw first hand the many reasons this game lost so many players. The devs should be making end-game more accessible to players and cut out the gatekeeping. Also, just from listening to all of the different things you NEED to do to go into certain dungeons or need for PVP is mind-numbing to a casual player. They should tone the games systems down a bit, release the game on consoles and have crossplay and progression to get new players involved in the game.

I would assume this comment is referring to players that focus on PVP. Cross server OPR is not a step forward to those that focus on PVP… as these players are usually on populated servers and Q’s have never been an issue.
As doing like 5 opr, and its feels more balanced, however enter to baron is hard if you jave enemys outside ;D because you need interack with wall, bit you can colect brute every 3 min for free and its much more harder to kill him ,D

I was thinking about coming back to the game but just being reminded of how grindy it is made me go "ugh, nope". So many amazing games out there waiting to be played and we end up devoting our time to something that feels like a second job, with absolutely no respect for the player's time.
I dont know what you mean by gaining new players, either im crazy or its just a clickbait title. Game is literally sitting at 18k peak for months now. And im tracking most mmos on steamdb daily. xD

My 2 complaints were BowPR and Tanking being a absolute mess in PvE. Blocking should not cost stamina but instead be a forward guard kind of like BDO's
Good vid, I still find game to become boring after 60 lvl for casual players, all that stuff you mentioned are for ppl who play multiple hours per day, there is just too much stuff that needs to be done to do something while i just want to log for one hour and relax

@@z543 if you want to play certain content, you gotta have a particular build, gear, and ect. If you don’t play the way they see as optimal, you won’t get in groups. Gw2 dungeons was like that when people played them back in the day.

I prob won't come back. The battle pass rewards are just bad. Expedition chests are pointless. The battlepass is really only good for new players

The game is a husk that has potential with the gameplay, but often times, I am left confused on what is actually going on in the story because of the mediocre explanations and 'lore' pages. It has the corporate corruption on it that plastered what could've been a good game into something so mediocre, a five year old could create something with better narrative and lore than that. The itemization is rough as well and I feel it suffers from the same problems as retail Wow in that regard, items don't feel unique and even a legendary is far too common of a sight. At times, it reminded me of playing Age of Conan back in its prime, but then I slowly realized how bad the story actually is as well as other misc facets and am now requesting a refund on steam. Hopefully it improves but honestly at this point I don't think it will.

New World was an amazing game during launch, when all of us started from level 1. Lot's of players, world PvP all day long, etc. Sadly, once we all reached max level, that "magic" started turning into a nightmare. Endless and never ending chest runs (as I called them back then, a "E key" runs, corrupted breaches zergs (you can pretty much AFK), brainless dungeons with no difficulty, etc.
Those who played from day one know what I'm talking about. It was truly a magical game. Graphics are beautiful, the music is magical, crafting (ignoring the utter and horribly grind) was fun, etc.
Sadly, once you start the endgame, it pretty much all starts going down.
And while this game is always gonna remain as one of the most beautiful MMO's I played, seeing the latest patches all being in the Store, and that you need to pretty much pay for everything, it doesn't look good. Wish such decisions, I'm starting to think that they are intentionally trying to make the remaining of players quit, so they can just shut it all down.
A new patch drops and it scraps 2.5k players over the last week, I wouldn’t call that gaining players. There isn’t much to come back to, and with a single server being over 2k, servers are still pretty dead.
Seasons does not bring enough content for people to come back to. Most people left because of other reasons.
I'd say wait a couple of years and then check in on it again, if it's still supported.
They are trying to hype up the machine that is running on fumes and duct tape.
At the time of your comment the patch wasn't even live for a full 24 hours. How can you be pulling any relevant data at that point?

@@kirchhoff7049 and the point still holds true. It was Friday night, peak hour and was still less than 19k players online. Only 3 of the 17 servers broke 2k players, the rest are still ghost towns. You can’t argue “less than 24 hours live” this is when the peak of player count comes, launch of a new season is when everyone slams the server to see new changes and play the new content.
