If Tifo could pick their all-time Premier League (1992 - ) team what would it look like? Well, Seb Stafford-Bloor, JJ Bull, and Alex Stewart each pick a team. JJ looks for leaders, Seb has a system and Alex just has fun (with Gerrard at right-back…).

To be honest, I actually have a similar theory for RB, but I would put Beckham there instead. Gerrard is far too complete to be wasted at RB. However, in the modern game, Beckham could definitely play the "Trent" role he was referring to, and probably do it better than Trent.

Reckon Trent, Beckham and even Jordan Henderson are more or less the same player interpreted by different eras of the PL. Henderson being the one somewhat caught between two positions, being «too late» to be a classic whip-it-in winger and too early to be Trent. He scored loads of goals and he was just damn good fun to watch because you never knew what he was going to do. I honestly couldn't watch United play for at least a season after he left. Terry is a shout IMO over Vidic, Rio and Stam but there is no reasonable argument for Cech over Schmeichel or Lampard over just about any of the top 10 midfielders in the league. Chelsea won three PL titles in the 00s. Fergie's United won 6, and lost two of those missing titles by a single point. Despite this, no one picked Scholes, Rooney, Giggs, Ronaldo etc. so it's not about the title winners as such.
Long story short, not having Chelsea players isn't a crime.
