Automatacon 2024

Every two years this event brings together automata enthusiast and makers to celebrate the art form. It takes place at the Morris Museum in Morristown, New Jersey, which has a very special collection of musical automata as part of its permanent collection.
The best part of the whole day was running into a student from my after-school program who actually had his automaton featured in the museum's special exhibit! I didn't include his work here to preserve his privacy, but wow, what a highlight 💜
