- Essentially a combat-ready version of the CJ-3A, the M38, or Willys Model MC, was the first post-WW II military Jeep® Brand vehicle. The M38 included several key changes including: stronger frame and suspension. It could be driven completely submerged thanks in part to a new waterproofed 24-volt ignition system (replaced the CJ-3A’s 6-volt system), and a unique vent tube system that connected the fuel tank, transfer case, transmission, and engine to the air cleaner.

60hp L134 engine
This was the first vehicle I ever drove, at age 6 or 7. An old timer had a cabin near my family's cabin, and he let me drive. He just laughed and grabbed the wheel as i almost steered it into a tree
Awesome
Love your videos. No clue how you don't have more subs, you deserve it.
I appreciate that!
Would love to see some low range trail action. Pure stripped down goodness!
Coming up!
My dad had one almost identical to this. but it still had the black out caps on the lights. how cool to see a similar one.
That's very cool.
That is a beautiful Jeep
Shifters, Left to Right, 3-speed transmission (2&3 are synchronized), hi &lo transfer case, 2 or 4 wheel drive. PTO is between seats.
Peace keeper blue with pto is a nice variation over usual green.
that black goo coming off the steering wheel can be neutralized by clear coating the wheel or just spray can gloss black.
a cheap fix for the speedometer is to get a GPS satellite gauge..they are about $35 and will pick up the satellite GPS signal and require no physical link to your transmission...
Definitely hit the child in me when you asked him to show you his Willy. Dude was like, “are you sure you want to get demonetized?”
😂😂😂😂
2.2L (134CI) GoDevil engine.
Do you know the serial number on the firewall of this jeep?
I don’t sorry
45 MPH top speed, downhill. Climb anything around
Is the vehicle available for sale
The theoretical top speed with stock gearing and tires is 60mph in 3rd. That's the engine at maximum engine speed.
That's impressive!
@SirDrifto they won't last long running them like that. 40-50 is a the max cruising speeds.I would use.
second and third are fully synchronized...first and reverse are not and you need to be at a standstill or near standstill in order to shit into those gears.
Awfully bald tires on the front. Yecch!
Tell me you don’t know anything about jeep without telling me
