    1 Boz, Kasparas
    2 Ty, Lawhorn
    3 Riley, White, Davis
    4 Humrichous, Booth
    5 Morez, Big T, Jakstys
Amazing roster if they get Riley.

Kasparas might knock Ty down a notch. Good problem to have. I'd be surprised if Jakstys doesn't redshirt. My hope for Ty is that he shoots 20,000 3-pts during the summer. There is little room for a 6-6 player who can't get to the arc.

Great roster on paper. Lots of versatility and complementary pieces.
I just wanna see how these guys mesh.

Are we going to cover illini women's recruitment soon?

Was Bruce Weber the worst recruiter Illinois has ever had?!?! I mean come on how do you go from national title game runner-up and still not be able to get any top kids from that run?!?!?! And don't even get me started on Groce!!!! Those 2 put Illinois in the dark ages of Illini basketball.

I'm not sure if he was worse than Groce but his misses might seem worse because of the level of talent that was coming outta the state for the majority of his time in charge. I think all things being equal, Groce was worse when you consider how hard he made getting elite talent for the next guy.

      Groce is #1

I get the impression Weber wasn’t willing to do some the unseemly things necessary to bring in top talent. In other words he was ethical to a fault. Not that i have any inside knowledge, that’s just the impression i have of him.

@@rbeberman5296 I get the impression that literally nobody ever thought he had any swagger because he didn't. Bruce and his "Aw shucks" persons just didnt play in Chicagoland and it killed Illinois during the greatest purple patch the state ever had

It took Bruce Weber a few years but he eventually did bring in top 100 players. Jeremy Richmond,Meyers Leonard,Brandon Paul, and DJ Richardson.

Pushing Riley as a one & done is desperation and not going to work. He's a bigtime prospect but is going to struggle as a reclassify HSer going up against 22 & 23 yr old super seniors.

    • @crim44
      @crim44 Před 25 dny +2

He is already 18 years old so he is actually the age of most high school freshman already. The re-class means nothing actually. He could struggle as all freshman do but not because he is a re-class.

If this doesn't go our way. We need to pivot to Coleman.
