Why you not posting videos anymore they are great? 😜
One of my favorite Covid channels. Hope all is well!
Another amazing looking cooking technique that I will have to try . . . . this weekend!!
That looks amazing
i love black pepper taste.. fantastico sharing😍😍😋😋
Hm I never heard about this steak. It sounds very interesting. I think with the rich sauce and with all the colours the plate has in the end, it could be a great meal for autumn!
Nice. More French food please
great video!
Brings out the Remy 🕺🏻 That's my boy 💕🕺🏻
Nice
This is the first vid I’ve seen where it seemed like you didn’t really like it. Quite frankly that much pepper seems like ruining a steak from here so I wasn’t really shocked. I’ve always been a fan of the idea that you’re enhancing and displaying the flavour of the meat rather than whatever else you’re adding. Thanks for the vid as ever 😊
Maldon salt is harvested 14 miles from my town.
No way. Can you get a tour of their facility? That would be really neat to see the process of how it’s made.
It's on CZcams, Maldon Salt Essex.
Man that is the best news I've heard all year. I always wondered how far the salt is harvested from Gary's house. Low and behold to my total astonishment Gary himself is here answering my deep question.
where'd you go? miss your videos!
👍
What's the name of the griddle you are using for cooking the smash burgers
Why you not posting anymore. We miss you
I have an episode idea for you! Best way-taste wise to thaw meat. Possibly a multi episode idea on type. So like moving to fridge, sitting on a plate in ambient temp, sitting in hot water, microwave defrost, or maybe oven defrost at its minimum temp? Hot water soak but sealed.
Thanks for the idea!
I think it's hilarious the way you guys pronounce "Shallots". lol
has this channel retired ? you guys seem semi active on instagram
Hi Kerri, yes we have taken a bit of a pause for over a year now. Maybe we’ll get back to it someday.
Why did you quit CZcams? Sure miss your videos! I just came across your channel and couldn’t believe that you are no longer posting.
New question. Oil steak first or oil pan?
I do oil in the pan first.
@@BBQandBottles I know. I’ve watched pretty much all your videos. Just wanted to know if you’ve done a side by side at any time and have seen the difference? Thank you for your content! Also I mentioned before about a newish cast iron company called Austin Foundry Cookware. I bought one and it’s now a favorite of mine, tied with my Smithey but for different reasons. Hope you and your family are doing well! Take care!
Oh, got it. We’ll add that to the steak experiments list we’ll have to do some day. You’re also the second person to mention cast iron from Austin Foundry Cookware. I’ll have to check them out!
I'm nitpicking but, AAA is the equivalent of choice in the US. Prime is Prime in both countries. But that's like 2% of all beef here
But I've a found that a high quality (nicely marbled) AAA, is pretty damn close to prime.
why no vid in a year?
Need new videos
Have you ever tried cooking ostrich steaks?
Never. Sounds funky. How are they?
@@BBQandBottles Ostrich is delicious! It's very similar to beef, however it's more lean and low in cholesterol. The texture is like beef, meaty and tender We live in South Africa and it's common to buy it in the supermarkets and butcheries
I know that it’s been a year since you posted a video but could you smoke a whole 7 bone tomahawk roast!!
Get back to making more full length vids
Worst recipe ever.
Proper Steak au poivre :
Green pepper in brine is what to use. Drain it, then soak it in water for 10minutes (same as capers).
Make it with a bit of reduced veal stock, red wine, onion and cream.
It’s best for fillet steak and you pan fry the steak in a little butter in a cast iron skillet. Blue or rare is best. Pour the sauce on top when serving.
