Nintendo switch not charging and not powering on

Nintendo switch not charging and not powering on. tried all combinations of resetting buttons, none work. looked carefully at the charge port and found a bent pin. Checked online and realized it is complicated to DIY. called local shops and got quoted for $110-$150 CDN for repair, yet, no guarantee can be fixed. Finally found and went thru a trouble shooting steps on Nintendo site, they provide repair service for $99 CDN (plus shipping and tax, approx $120)
