He hanged the ball up to the max height of where Ronaldos tip of his head was. The ball wasn't actually at this height when Ronaldo hit the ball.

When Ronaldo did that he was on an angle and just jumper high enough to head the ball correctly... So just imagine his actual vertical 😅
He did a doc iirc called tested to the limit where they tested his vertical and a load of other stuff
yes but to be fair Nick did line up the top of Ronaldo's head at the highest point of the jump with the BOTTOM edge of the soccer ball. So Ronaldo could definitely touch this hanging ball (barely), but not hit it forward/score it.
he was also on adrenaline so if he tried to do it now he would probably not get it

Not only athleticism, but coordination and split second reaction. Remember, the ball is kicked from far away, and moving away from his direction.
Ronaldo is actually around 6 foot which makes it even more impressive

The fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is 2 inches shorter than that guy, and he doesn’t have to wear anything on his head to hit the ball right in the center and direct it into a football goal with a 6ft or taller goalie guarding the goal and still make it in is FREAKING INSANE!!🔥👏🏻 that’s why he’s the most Insane athlete ever! The bottom of the ball was hung at the level that the top of the soccer players head reached.

I hope people appreciate Ronaldo's capability even more. Ronaldo jumped off from grass which was soft., and he his forehead (not the top of his head) hit the center of the ball. Actually he had to use his forehead to hit the center of the ball to achieve that goal. His max height might be considerably higher than that.

True but this ball is higher than the one in game. They have the bottom aligned with how high he went to make it simple for the challenge. Also fairly sure even the number they used it a little to high
Ronaldo is insane dont get me wrong, but when heading a ball in a match you can use leverage another player, u can see him do it a bit when he scored
The ball isn't this height in game. This was his best EVER and it was measured to the tip of his hair, not his head. Ronaldo himself, even if he was warmed up and in his prime, wouldn't be able to complete this challenge without a beanie
The ball is moving and it bounces. He needs exactly zero power to direct it into the goal.
All he has to do is be in its path.
Last guy beat the system. His tam added the extra inch to be able to touch it. So technically speaking, his head didn't touch it. The tam did.

what they don't realize is how much harder it is for Ronaldo. Imagine a ball flying towards you at about 80-90km/hour , then defenders fighting you off, trying to outbalance or push you over when jumping.

to your last point, 2.93m was the highest point of Ronaldo's head, so the lowest part of the ball, which is also 2.93m, is the point where Ronaldo touched his head.

The ball needs to be hit with near forehead for actual scoring the ball to the net. That means the jumps has to be higher than the Nicks challenge height. Which will be dam difficult to achieve. Ronaldo’s jump is a super human jump. 👍
