There is a misconception that India is benefiting from buying discounted Russian oil. Unfortunately that's not true. Reliance and one other company are refining that oil and selling it at significant markup to Europe. So the benefit is for couple of big corporations but certainly not Indian public.

Russia cannot win the war in Ukraine. And I'll tell you why. When a country is the aggressor, and they invade another, if they don't win quickly and decisively, they end up losing. It has always been this way, and it is what ruins most empires, the Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Nazis, etc. Every empire that gets bogged down in a foreign war, especially wars of conquest to gain territory, fails. Its a basic factor of warfare, one of the oldest known errors that a military commander can make. They teach this in military academies. If you have ever played a strategy game, try taking over a neighboring country, even 1/4 your size. If you don't win in 10 turns, its game over. I'm not going to pretend to know exactly why it happens this way, but it does. Russia will lose. At the very least they will pull back and try again.

First of all there is difference between crude oil and refined oil ( Petrol ) and India is exporting refined oil to west, so its obvious to charge more amount for refineries and logistics

A capable government would have not went to war if another country knew exactly when and where they were going to do it.
