Watch on the tv usually but had to pull out the phone to come try to comment this. Loved that game so much and this song even more. Was already a fan of Static cuz my brother picked up Wisconsin Death Trip somewhere when it was still fairly new and I was immediately hooked, and I was like 8-9 (born '91) lol.

Please continue the Static-X trip, such an energetic & creative band that really made a name for themselves back in the late ‘90s.
Wayne Static (real name Wayne Richard Wells) was truly a remarkable talent and songwriter... I'd experienced Static-X live a few times and they always had a packed house jumpin' 🤘🤘🔥🔥 It was a tragic loss when Wayne Static passed away... (R.I.P.)
This was from Static-X's 3rd album in 2003 - 'Shadow zone'... Unfortunately, Static-X split when Wayne Static and bassist Tony Campos parted ways in 2011... Wayne launched a new Static-X, but Campos took legal action against him.
Wayne Static released his 1 solo album 'Pighammer' in 2011... which was essentially a Static-X album, and then moved forward touring w/ his solo band playing Static-X songs in 2014... Sadly, Wayne died that year on a prescription OD... His wife Tera Wray took her own life a year later 😪
Prior to his death, Wayne Static was working on new music... so, his family reached an agreement w/ bassist Tony Campos and the original Static-X (drummer Ken Jay and guitarist Koichi Fukuda) to complete the tracks as 2 new Static-X albums - 'Project Regeneration' I & II... and Tony Campos had the rights to bring back Static-X as a touring band in 2019 w/ Ken Jay and Koichi Fukuda returning... They enlisted a masked vocalist/ guitarist 'Xero' to assume the character of Wayne Static onstage (Believed to be guitarist/ vocalist Edsel Dope of the band Dope) and the current version of Static-X has been doing big bu$sine$$ on tour all over the world.
The only was the hardest pushed single by Static X. And yes Static X is together with a new frontman Xero...(Edsel Dope from the band Dope) you should react to Dope- Debonaire
After Wayne's passing, the original members of the band(Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, and Ken Jay) reunited and got a masked singer named Xer0(whom is now known to be Edsel Dope of the band "Dope") to perform as a tribute to Wayne's life and legacy. With these members, they decided to use several unused vocal recordings and leftover lyrics from the "Shadow Zone" and "Start A War" era of the Band's career to create a pair of records in honor of Wayne, known as "Project Regeneration Vol. 1 and 2."
With that being said, I really recommend The songs Hollow, Otsego Placebo, My Destruction and Accelerate from Project Regeneration Volume 1.

Static x is one of the most underrated bands that shouldn't be overlooked. They made and still is making some badass music. Try checking out otsego placebo by them you'll even enjoy the new stuff
I never knew anyone who didnt like static X. I only saw them once but did have tickets to see his solo band with powerman 5000 but he died 13 days prior. I have that ticket somewhere in storage. They are touring again with edsel dope at xero aka the reincarnation of wayne. Its really good but you can hear a slight difference in the voice.
Ha that's funny you say that. When I played them for a friend she said it made her brain want to off itself. One of my all time favorites though
Static X is still going strong, they brought in a robot named Xero that does all of Wayne's parts, the technology they used for the robot is incredible, it moves and talks like a real person
Xero is not a robot. He's the old lead singer of the band Dope, Edsel Dope.
No it is a real robot that is widely believed to be made with alien technology. Look it up.

Shadow Zone is one of my favorite albums. it's a banger from start to finish.
I got to hang with these guys back in 2000 a few times and they were some the coolest guys, Wayne was such a awesome guy, sad hes gone.
Lots of great songs on this album and their follow up album. Gotta check out more Static-X. R.i.p Wayne.

Wisconsin Death Trip was one of the first albums I bought and I still listen to it a lot these days. This was one of the better songs post Wisconsin Death Trip.

Man!! I was into these guys before I saw them live!! First time I saw them was Ozzfest 2000 in Columbus, OH. These motherfuckers played at 4:00 in the afternoon and were THE loudest band of the ENTIRE show!!! Keep in mind Godsmack and Pantera were also there🤯🤯 Pantera will always be my favorite but I will never forget that show because of these guys!! R.I.P. Wayne🤘🏻🤘🏻
I was able to see Wayne at the 20th anniversary show for Wisconsin Death Trip, they did an album play through. This was like, a couple months before he died? Felt lucky to have the opportunity. He played that night with alternate band members, but I've seen the rest of them with the new singer since then. I still use the drawstring bag I got at that show.
Anyway, you guys should revisit MRH for nu metal monday, and check out their earlier work. I'm pretty sure you've only heard their more recent stuff. Rock on 🤘

I built my own house with the power of Static X. I somehow missed them until 2017 and they quickly became an all time favorite, powering me through the project. There's something totally unique... The music and the words are so kinetic, like Wayne is describing the essence of the human experience and singing about how to grab that fire and ride it through. He so often describes the raw inner human experience, yet also gives clues how to navigate the storm of life... Listen for it. Bottled lightning FIRE

This song is arguably their best song. It's from their album "Shadow Zone" (2003) and it's definitely Nü Metal, with an industrial flavor to the mix. This is peak Nü Metal 🔥

I'm gonna have to agree with the comments on Don't stick my genre in a box.
Static is one of the bands that definitely pushed themselves out of the usual line up nu-metal. The simplicity of the music that didn't require tones of crazy notes and easy drums. Static was a great band and I feel was underrated as well.
Need for Speed: Underground had a fantastic soundtrack that introduced me to some great bands. It's how I first discovered Static X, actually.
A song that deserves the Nu Metal Monday is System of a down MIND, I've been suggesting this one for decades, it's fire 🔥, (even tho some ppl dont consider soad as nu metal)

Yes, this song was on the radio. Don't think it was a big hit, but it was on the radio, because that's where I always heard it for a while. And for the longest time, it didn't even click with me that it was Static-X. Killer song though. One of my faves from them.
Also, a couple more songs y'all need to check out from them are, Cold, Black and White and Destroyer.

Nu Metal is all about mixing genres, it doesn’t have to include hip hop/rap , most people don’t truly understand the genre of Nu Metal, it’s complexed, Nu Metal and Metalcore are similar and connected because it’s both about mixing rock/metal with other genres

Rap to Wayne static and ripped to read and this man lives on the longest time I didn't accept them trying to recreate instead of gas but static x. But I do realize why they wanted to do it because the audience wanted to put them to do it so they have a guy that sounds like him.

I was lucky enough to see these guys live with Wayne a couple of times and they were incredible. I will be seeing them with new lead vocalist Xero in a couple of months! They have some really good new songs, in particular Otsego Placebo! Worth checking out!

Could you react to the music video of goliath by woodkid? Woodkid is a french composer, vocalist, music video director, and graphic designer. He made music videos for taylor swift, katy perry, lana del rey, harry styles, etc. Id recommend checking out some of his work
