Watching this back its really noticeable how osiris seems a lot more affected and pondering in these audio logs compared to his delivery post savathunation is almost monotone in how cool and suave.
Except during the Glykon incident. There were hints she deliberately gave, but Savathun's first exploratory outing of the Glykon with us was genuine. Some of the things she learned genuinely surprised her.

Thank you for this, I started the season but got burnt out by the power grind and took a break and unfortunately forgot when the new season dropped and never got to finish it out. This game is quite possibly my favorite video game universe with all it's lore and story telling, it's definitely come along way from vanilla D1 and I can't wait to see what they do next.
Osiris says “And for it a price was paid”
1 ) These darkness “Guardians” are possibly a mirror of us but the Darkness revived them. Hence why we see humans in that statute room
2 ) Osiris joins them bc he lost his light and the vanguard along with the city rejected him. And why he says “there’s no light here” on the trailer for Season of the Worthy.
Idk, just some thoughts that ran thru my head while watching this.
3) Savathun be Savathunin
The game never gave me the Crow scene at the end for beating the High Celebrant, so at least I can watch it here
I still remember doing this mission. Took a long time to trust Crow and even still, it's a VERY thin trust.
kind of sad the audio cut out in a few spots and in a couple others the dialogue was sped through so it overlapped two dialogue sets. This was one of my favorite seasons because of the story, it was also the first season I was able to play since vanilla D2 so the progression with Crow from D1 and vanilla D2 blew me away. Grinded my butt off for Radiant Accipiter and the story, I really like the bond Crow and the Guardian have. 32:15 hits differently now. It's really eerie to go back through knowing Savathun was possessing Osiris and seeing all the subtle hints that she's been pulling strings for many, many seasons.
Took a new parent break from Destiny so I'm thrilled you put these videos together. Thank you!

subscription fee? what are you on about? the game has no subscription. The only thing you have to buy are DLCs and I guess the season pass would be the closest thing you have to a "subscription", but it is nothing like that.
@@matus19971 that's basically a subscription fee, every year you pay $60ish for a big story update and throughout the year you pay $10 for season passes that have more story locked behind them
@@cressthunderhawk1492 I disagree. You can enjoy the game like any other with just buying expansions at your own pace and unlocking some content. Unlike some games, Bungie keeps the content relatively relevant so its not like you wont find people to join you in old raids, etc. I have friends that started thee game so they dont want to buy the seasons and that is completely fair, they can still enjoy the game tho. The only reason why you would play them is for the story and if theyre not invested or still new to it, it doesnt really matter to them. So the only reason you would have to get it is cosmetics, aka FOMO, but thats not a valid reason, nor is it a subscription. You can play Destiny without constantly paying for it and more importantly, sub fee is a monthly thing, which Destiny definitelly doesnt have. Seasons take months to finish and expansions are annual, meaning that no matter what you are getting your moneys worth even if you consider it a sub lol, no matter how you look at it, your logic is flawed
@@matus19971 i never said the game was unenjoyable without the passes, all i said was that you have to pay annual and regular fees for the story, which you yourself said, so i'm not sure where all that came from
@@cressthunderhawk1492 my point wasnt about the enjoyment but about the fact that it does not match what a "subscription fee" based game is like. It is nothing like it. Subscription fees operate on a monlthy basis, such as WoW or FF XIV. What Destiny is doing is completely different. Would you look at Dark Souls III and be like "damn this subscription fee is horrible" because it has two DLCs? expansions are DLCs, seasons are small DLCs, especially since there is the Season Pass as a part of them. Does Fortnite have a subscription fee because it uses battle passes as an addition to the base game?

If anything, she really played her part as Osiris well. She even deceived his closest friend.

I think this is missing the cutscene from repeating the hawkmoon mission, at 100 feathers, Crow says that he's truely a guardian.
So those whole season Osiris was actually Savathun

I havent played since shadowkeep, and with all thats happened since then i dont know if i can get back into it, for all i know all the story i missed is just gone and thats it, tough shit

Apparently you can play all story quests and everything for seasons you own until the year ends.
Only if you own the exact season though, for some dumb reason.

Hawkmoon is a part of the traveler?!
Watching this after Curse of Osiris and Season of the Dawn makes Savathun's impersonation of Osiris stick out like a sore thumb- she speaks so monotonously and slow compared to how Osiris usually speaks. I get that she used Sagira's death as cover for discrepancies because grief does a number on how a person might behave, but...damn

The cutscenes were great but wow was this ever a weak season
Still the dumbest decision by Bungie to vault all of this (and the other seasons). I've just returned to D2, and I've just finished Beyond Light, but the campaign is literally only 1/4th of the entire story. Bungie and their horrible design choices when it comes to this game. You miss out on so much. Imagine having to look up everything on CZcams just to catch up for Witch Queen, and then, doing the same to have context for Lightfall. Bungo...
Looking at all these comments, I can tell who and who didn’t play curse of Osiris. It was clearly not him from the very, very start.
They are also are the ones who support the gayness between the two incest brothers. Who has no idea about the lore of Osiris himself and how much they changed and retcon his character.
Yeah he's pretty obviously not him, but I went back and read all his lorebooks recently and he wasn't retconned to be gay, it was just not a plot point that needed to be included until the story focused on Osiris himself rather than what he was doing. As for the incest thing, that's not true- Saint and Osiris never were brothers, even if they called each other that. It was just a friendly title, much like 'comrade', or how Drifter calls us brother/sister, plus the Speaker had this weird thing where all his followers were his 'children' and he was their 'father'. Though for Osiris especially it makes sense as a casual term, because he's Egyptian- my family is from Iran and we call everyone who's around our age brother/sister as a means of being friendly, even those who are strangers to us or are close friends. Those older than us get 'uncle/aunt' terms. There's no familial connection, it's just a pleasantry, and since Osiris speaks Hebrew in the opening cutscene of Curse of Osiris, it's not entirely unlikely that's the cause behind it if not for the whole thing with Saint looking up to the Speaker
