- This is a huge video I made in tribute to my favorite Destiny character of all time, Cayde-6, who will be making his tragic departure this fall in the Forsaken expansion. I spent 10 hours making this video and recording my footage. This contains the best of the best moments Cayde has in both Destiny 1 and 2. When Forsaken releases I will update this video and add in his moments from the Forsaken expansion. As a Destiny 1, Day 1 Hunter, losing Cayde is quite the blow.

@@UsernameHereplease Same, I like to imagine my Hunter had hers made from Caydes cloak(Since i have yet to get lucky with Bright Engram rng and get the dare set ornament). I don’t have much backstory for how my (Main)Warlock and my Titan got their Memory of Caydes yet.
@@UsernameHereplease I never got to play Destiny 1 or 2 when Cayde was alive, but was in the fan community for a long ass time, so I have someone who found Riskrunner and then got his warlock bond and left behind thumb drives. (It's a massive lore thing, but I always loved Cayde, so it felt fitting to get it and keep it since it's phenomenal.)
I got the memory of cayde cloak and refuse to use anything else
I rock the memory of cayde cloak with the vanguard dare ornament over it as a vow. “If you learn nothing else learn this; when a hunter takes up the cloak of a dead comrade, this is a vow”. And main the ace of spades, I’ve obtained over 50,000 kills with it since forsaken, for cayde. Also made sure i wore that cloak defeating Taniks and avenging Andal Brask. as it was his cloak before Caydes. Seems very fitting to me to take up caydes cloak since I’ve been a solely hunter only player since literally day 1 of D1.

In destiny 1 I'd agree, but in 2 its better. Good characters include:
Shaxx
Ikora
Osiris
Failsafe (best damn character ever, tied with cayde)
And Hawthorne.
All of them are well developed now and have personalities. Zavala is too stock and plain still, and the ghost is less sarcastic and IMHO got worse, but cayde isn't the only one anymore. Just a fan favorite. And a well earned one at that

@@maplesyrup6529 Sagira is fantastic, but sadly doesn't get enough time on screen, or enough lines, for me to fully appreciate them. If they did tho they'd be right up there with failsafe, the two sassiest machines in destiny
@@noblealbion The only reason I still consider Cayde to have the only personality is because the others you mentioned are pretty cookie cutter, in a fantasy sort of sense. It's not hard to come up with characters like Shaxx, Osiris, Failsafe (FS is pretty much generic AI gone insane, honestly) and Hawthorne. I'm honestly shocked you stuck Ikora into that list lmao, she is iconic for not having a personality
@@AnyHeroBlake we know more about ikora than osiris. One is a mystery man who's obsessed with vex and taught Ikora.
Ikora is a morally grey character, she loves cayde as a friend and is the first to jump for revenge once he's slain, even though her duty will not allow it. She was forced to banish her teacher and role model from the tower, whilst still holding an appreciation for him. Shes a woman with a lot of regrets and is constantly having to make the hard decisions between her friends and duty, makes sense why she comes off as a little cold. But once you crack her shell she is fiercely loyal. Shes not got no character, shes just subtle. Osiris has a character that requires a lot of blanks filled in but i left him on the list because he's interesting. Ikora is interesting too, just in a more subtle way

i played destiny 1 on ps3 because we didn't own a good enough PC, i remember getting back to the tower with my warlock, i wandered around for a bit, went to the gun-dude because if the game was about shooting stuff i would need a good gun, i then saw the icons for Eris mourn(didn't know what she did, didn't care), shaxx(i cant remember), and that robot vendor zavala, ikora, and cayde, i found zavala really annoying because of his attitude, ikora was... emotionless, but cayde, he was h amazing, he was always being amazing.
we got a ps4 in 2016, and when, in 2017 i heard destiny 2 had come out on ps4 i was overjoyed thinking i could maybe fight alongside cayde (i don't know why i thought this, i was only like 11),
i got destiny 2 with PS plus, i realized fast that there was a sh*t ton of grinding involved back then, and i uninstalled the game and went on playing other games like titan-fall 2 (it actually did die on ps4 for a time, i remember looking for people online and there was no-one, not a single person), and rainbow 6 (to be fair i had played since it first came out, my dad had got it immediately for a reason i still don't know)
As soon as someone told me he was dead i laughed at them, they said they weren't joking, and i was confused, so, since i didn't own the forsaken dlc, i looked through CZcams ... i sometimes play destiny 1 to hear his hilarious voice lines again.
i still miss him.
P.S i am not an annoying little brat that somehow got a CZcams account, *cough* *cough* pewdiepie fans.

I'm fairly new to destiny. I had Cayde fir like 5 minutes in my game and life...He was my favourite character from the very first moment. I'm pretty mad that they vault Forsaken. New players will probably never know who he was....

I played D1 and D2 from day one and I’m pretty sure no one will not know Cade cuz how much the community loved him
i only learned about him from the strike and then also the destiny pedia lore page i went on a tangent down. Im really mad they vaulted like a story from something i wish theyd have made it something you had to go into a menu to locate. Plus crows a little bitch baby and should never have replaced cayde.

@@PatrizzaEatsApizza They mean the original D1. The game where Cayde-6 was actually in for 3 years.
I honestly miss the original D2 campaign, I know some people didn’t like it but I enjoyed the whole thing. It introduced new characters that challenged the ideas of the ones we had before, brough it some emotional moments and made the enemies that felt like canon fodder in D1, feel real and imposing, and was really fun to go through.
The Cayde one liners were always a plus as well
Red War was great. If Bungie had any good sense (not likely) they'd put that as well as all other vaulted content back into the game after Final Shape comes out so we can finally get Destiny 2 The Collection like they did with the first game. If they did that I'll bet a lot of players would come back who either never got to finish some of the DLC as well as bring in a swath of new players to enjoy the full experience.

I still like to think Blade Barrage was a result of Cayde running into something that made him panic, so he decided to throw literally every knife he had at the enemy. When it killed whatever he ran into, it just works.

For some reason they are really intent on killing off the best characters. Not quite sure why.
Because the game was in a very shit point with cos and warmind and everyone was thinking it wasn't going to last until the forsaken trailer and the scene of cayde dying the game saw hype it hadn't seen in a very long time and the community was amazed by the devs making one of the best expansions in destiny history. His sacrifice helped the game live on and so many new characters were introduced and ikoras personality was shown a bit more because of caydes death

Well, in forsaken we made peace with his death, so it wouldn’t make sense to have a phantasm of him appear. Ace of Spades serves as our memorial of him.
We give Eris items of her old fire team so she can make peace. So that’s why I think Cayde didn’t appear.
Our Guardian broke an almost half decade long vow of silence just to make it clear that we are going to clap Uldrens ass for Cayde, and I am happy

Noone else, purely for one guardian, in particular, set to his timeline, on the planet he disappeared into, to do it for cayde, we'd need to extend the range all the way to the POE, which is hard, not to mention risky.

what makes destiny so good is all the actors and all the work they put in to make it sound amazing and the editors did such a good job
