Great timing. I just joined a local MakerHive so I could get access to a Laser engraver. A 40W diode laser is what I had determined would be the best option for what I want to do
I went to MakerHive last night and someone set up the same laser. At first we were laughing at the plastic tube frame with flimsy covering it supplied for protection. BUT After working with it the lightweight cover was REALLY convenient and everybody liked it

As to the memory card question...from the Google machine.

It's nice to see creality getting into laser engravers. They've been too expensive for too long. I bought one a couple years back a 1000 watt and it ran me about 500 bucks, and frankly it wasn't built this nicely. It had the old style roller on aluminum extrusion design, and wobbly acrylic parts. It didn't have much wobble because it doesn't have a whole lot of force but it would have been nice to have a better build quality
TF card is an abbreviation of the proper name for the micro SD "TransFlash card" that you put in the slot there. It's not a Chinese term. MicroSD is a corporate branded name for it if memory serves, though they're used interchangeably like some other products in the common vernacular.
So the first time I ran mine it fired up uncommanded and carved a DEEP kerf in my bench. You’re either brave or insane to run this on a nice granite countertop
We had the catchment basin under it, fyi - I was pretty nervous too!
38:10 I have a set of metric mechanical calipers and once I learned how to read it could never go back to digital. Constantly replacing the batteries was wasteful and they are always in metric mode!

Damn Bro, this is Totally what I've been Waiting for!! I do Balsa Builds and have had to FREE hand all my cuts 16 to 32 Ribs etc.. it gets to be a lot!! and NO perfect cuts, so all the Parts are NOT the same... making your Airfoil Imperfect and just barely OK.. how are the Images loaded, is it a PDF or ??

Yes it will cut food and also engrave on it. I have the exact same one and also a Omtech 100 watt 24" X 40"

The air pump turns off automatically and the red light will come on... because there's no air.... yet.
