I actually found Dorian through your channel. And really had fun with the music despite never having experienced quite anything like it. Also I am straight and have very little avenues to actually understand LGBT people because I don't have any friends who openly identify with the community. With a lack of first person encounters it becomes difficult to wrap your head around their experiences. So naturally I developed several pre conceived ideas about what they would be like.
This interview was really wholesome. I don't know I guess you just don't expect such chill attitudes from people who are so bold and out there with their creativity. Of course I'm only speaking for myself. But thanks to Dorian for breaking some of those stereotypes in my head. I appreciate them and look forward to more fun music

Dorian noted the difference between Baroque and Romantic as different eras within the Classical music sphere. Maybe this is common knowledge, but in combination with the artists their parents influenced them in listening to from a young age.. I get the sense they have a deep understanding of music history!

I'm not really surprised. They are a musical genius after all.
I've been meaning to find these particular piano sounds and it took me discovering Dorian (specifically Man to Man) to finally put a name on that sound. I've always heard it and liked it but never knew how to search for it, like keywords and stuff.
I usually hear it from gothic anime/video game soundtracks and Melanie Martinez's Cake. Feel free to send me some recs.

They go to different camps or activity groups or whatever so they can always challenge their own skills, all the while also harnessing their confidence with bit by bit exposure.
