Gold Plated? CMMG Resolute .45 PCC

- In the warehouse for this SF GRV on a PCC in TNP! Here I do an add-on review to my original CMMG MKG Guard 9mm PCC review: • CMMG MkG 9mm: Standard... . That gun tested very well and I almost bought it. But here things change a bit. For one I stupidly got it in .45 ACP making it expensive to shoot. Then there was another big downside that turned me off. It still features an innovative radial bolt carrier group that's ready to adapt to more powerful rounds; it's not a simple blowback. This is innovative and somewhat special but does it really justify the astronomical price? I’ll talk about this, show you the results of desert testing, and show you some super cool non-gun stuff to expand your horizons.

Nutn gimme a chrono for that 16, I bet it hits like a 357!
I went shooting at the range with my brother last week. We wasted $300 worth of ammo in an hour and a half. Crazy how expensive everything is. I totally understand Nutn's point. Also, thanks Nutn!
I'm thankful for Nut'n.
I think a .45 pcc should have a few specific features to make the .45 actually worth it.
7" barrel, because most ammo is loaded for a pistol.
1x optic/irons, because it's not a rifle.
Suppressor, because the ammo is mostly subsonic.
well you just added 400 dollars in taxes and 1 year of wait to your 45 PCC.
@@ryanthomas2374 Thems the breaks if you want to have a .45 PCC that doesn't suck.
God I hate ammo prices, I hate the cost of everything now. I hope and pray that we can get our country back, but I'm just not feeling confident. Definitely could use good news regarding that.
Anyways, Nutn I'm happy that you're still here thats one constant thing that I find comfort in brother. Thank you!
The word Gospel means good news. Tribulation soon, Rapture sooner! 🎉
I do agree giving billions and billions away to other country out our taxpayer hard earned money, and nothing for us????? not confident either here.
I like the watches. And the knives. And the gloves. Saws also. Don't ever change.
For a 200rd range box of 45 @$99. Local shop. Walmart yrs back has it $40. Smdh FJB
I am a sub and was a close follower of the TNP channel back when you ran the Casio DataBank. And strangely, about 12/2020 the channel vanished from my feed. Consider that as you will.
The channel popped up in my feed suddenly about a year ago but still only about once a month. Consider that as you will.
At any rate, thank you for emphasizing the cost to run the rigs we own. So many reviews out there of pew-pews in unacceptably expensive calibers that make the review and pew-pew itself simply irrelevant.
Thanks to the insight gleaned on your channel back in the Casio days I've built my entire pew-pew collection around a single game round and PCC in the most common calibers out there - 9mm & 7.62x39. And then also stocked up ammo in 2017 and 2018.
Thank you again. It's paid for itself many times over since then.
Cheers from Laramie.
PCC’s that are the size and weight of a rifle are pretty pointless to me. Weight is the same, same lack of concealment as a rifle, ammo is more expensive and less capable than the rifle. Soooooo why🤷♂️
Also higher recoil than DI
In what world is 9mm and .45 more expensive than 5.56?
What type of accident did you have that left you permanently brain damaged to think that pistol ammo is more expensive than rifle ammo?
Is it a paperweight yes, is 45 more $$ than 5.56??... nay
I built one in a sbr years ago. If I didn’t cast my own bullets and reload I couldn’t afford to shoot it. Otherwise it is a decent firearm. I can’t believe how bad yours shot. My 8” keeps a 2.5” group at 50 yards.
Yeah... sure your shot group is 2.5 at 100... we all believe that... fudd I mean bud.
You’re welcome Nutn! Happy to support per video, worth every penny. Great work you do!
I built a custom Quarter Circle 10 .45acp pcc back in 2013, before they became a popular thing, and it's functioned flawlessly and accurately ever since. It took some time to tune it to work with a silencer, being direct blowback, but it's one of my pride and joys in the safe.
@nutnfancy what are your thoughts on karambit style knives? just wondering what you think. I always enjoy your no-nonsense approach to everything.
Hey NutNFancy! Long time subscriber here, wondering if you would ever consider reviewing the CA Legal versions of firearms available in CA? Obviously they are different than others on the market and as a 2A resident of Commiefornia, would love to see reviews for the Communist versions of the weapons we have available for sale here… Keep rocking dude!
I am an advocate for a .45 PCC in certain circumstances. Prior to the brace ban I had one with a 5” barrel and it ran suppressed all of the time. I was a very early advocate for 300blk but had terminal ballistics issues on game. It just wasn’t lethal, as the bullets are not designed to impact at subsonic velocities.
Enter the .45 acp. 230gr loads are all subsonic. Ball loads are proven manstoppers, and the hollow point bullets are engineered to expand at subsonic velocity.
In the glock mag versions it shared mag compatibility with a favorite pistol the 30s. Mine held about a 4” group at 50m, more than suitable for the subsonic round.
For suppressed users it gives two advantages over other offerings at short range. Lethality and readily available subsonic ammo.
My .02
Thanks for a great review. Glad to see back on the platform. Please keep up the good work. I’m looking forward to watching more.
I like those gloves. I got a pair of Vertx that are very similar and have run into quality issues with the seam stitching along the fingers. Will check these ones out!
I just don’t understand pcc ar15s. Normal ar15 w ccmg 22 conversion gets you training on the cheap. 9mm ar pistols(colt mag) make sense imo for bug outs and such. Dedicated 9mm platforms like Kel tec sub2k, Ruger pc carbine, s&w folder collapse quickly for storage/concealment and sometimes can be lighter.
CMMG is crazy with their prices
CMMG also got a 10mm pistol 8 inch barrel; bad accuracy with 180gr and 200gr.. just light weight and more expensive grain
I own that gun and nothing about it is bad accuracy lol it shoots 180 & 200 grain hollow points lights out
Gorgeous watch
I’ve had two 10mm PCCs. I still have my banshee MK10 which I love and 10mm isn’t super expensive honestly
Just like you didn’t want to review the gun, I didn’t want to watch the review. I scrolled by my feed numerous times and finally decided to watch to see if I could get a laugh out of it and to see if you were going to stay consistent on PCC and trash it. Two for two. PCC is 99.9% novelty. My friend just bought the folding S&W 9mm PCC. FDLFBPCP. Get that in the patch store. Friends don’t let friends buy PCP!
Hey Nutnfancy, I have the 45 CMMG Banshee and now the CMMG 9mm Dissent. These things are FANTASTIC guns! The Dissent has barely any recoil at all. Oh and yeah, it gets expensive to shoot both, so bulk ammo runs online are required. I'm hoping they'll offer this in 40cal since that was my primary caliber for so many years. Not sure these pistol rounds warrant a scope. For both of these I put on an Aimpoint 410 red dot and a trijicon on the Banshee. Stick to what they're good at and that's 25 yards and up close. Least that's my opinion.
100% agreed Long barrel 45 ACP is not exciting but a short barrel suppressed 45 ACP would be if the NFA was repealed I would definitely be interested in something like that.
Nutn keeping it real about finances and calling out the people who shoot 1 magazine a month and call it a range session
A 16 inch 9mm pcc makes sense for possible cheaper cost per round training, but 10mm or 45 gets pretty expensive and doesn't bring anything over 5.56. That said I'd like a 8 or 10 inch 9mm pcc pistol with a brace.
Should have bought the IWI Masada.
Awesome watch glove and gun review 👌
Please review the Ruger LC carbine in 45. I’m actually interested in a .45 PCC as a special purpose sub sonic gun. I’d rather have that than a 300 black out
I have a friend who's obsessed with the ruger .45 pcc He knows i'm a huge .300 black out ar15 fan of course, And he mainly talked about It being more practical to carry around in the woods. And that sort of thing, tell me What you like about the ruger?
@@X-ForceBro I like that .45 is a pistol round, so it can work in a handgun as well as a PCC. Also like that it’s more common and cheaper. You do loose the ability to put supersonic rounds in it for longer range. But, for a special purpose subsonic silencer gun, the .45 is hard to beat, because all 45 ammo is subsonic and it hits like a freight train
@@CandKfilms1 I like it i'm like it
@@X-ForceBro the 300 blk is a great round too. Honestly wish it was more popular. But, I think it lacks range to be a mass issue military round. I think it fits more in the CQB, PCC, PDW, special purpose weapon realm
I love when you talk about watches fwiw. If you reviewed guitars you would cover all my bases 😂
I don’t understand who/what this gun is for. Who needs a ~$1400 45 rifle that’s the size of a 5.56 and shoots like a crap? wtf
Great insight and review I thank you. At this it'll probably be better to look at a Kriss for a bill more in a pistol.
Foxtrot Mike FM15 12.5" ♥🤠
Can we get some modern day scored & timed sledgehammer and trench run drill videos? Who cares about views, let's do what is cool and fun instead! Plus the viewers want to see what Nutn's modern day load-out and tactics look like.
Well, everything is $$$ now. I have to disagree with your overview, as I own both a 10mm & 45ACP banshee from CMMG (granted the shorter barrels make a huge difference and I shoot suppressed). All ammo for what it is has been driven up artificially by the world power SOB's getting rid of the metals industry here in the US. I am at the range every Tuesday in Homestead, Florida.See you there bring 10mm. LOL Also, I had issues with my dagger and it had to go back to the mother ship ... came back functional (all I can say) . Talk about shotgun pattern groups at 21 feet and need band aids for my finger from the trigger guard
9mm x 30 rounds and you end up going through a lot if $$. I cannot imagine .45 acp. While CMMG is not cheap it is competitive with a Vityaz or MP5 clone. Thank you for testing so we don't have to.
Looks like the pin has almost walked out of that dagger ….
At a third the price, CMMGs would be interesting. For what they're charging, I'll just get a cheap AR-15 and a couple of pistols if I don't come to my senses and just buy ammunition for what I already own.
Awesome!
Many thanks ! What are your thoughts about a pcc in caliber .30 Carbine ? A nice in-between option for home & yard protection, possibly ?.....
Hard to make a case for that (as a new gun) in a world with .300 Blackout in it.
The M1 Carbine itself is a great little gun, of course.
Unfortunately, I have stopped shooting my 45acp to save the money to shoot 9mm. At this point, I’m down to two calibers, 9mm and 5.56, so I can train appropriately. ☹️
This thing shouldn't exist no purpose but to separate dumb people from their money.
That’s most things probably.
Thank you. Comments were aloud by the overlords today i see.
V8’s are not metric either, there is no replacement for displacement lol. Freedom fractions! Gotta pay for performance.
Nutn you want to build a killl dozer?
Dr Seuss is in the house
Wow you say weird stuff sometimes nutn. I just bought the 10mm mp20 core . Very cool gun . Shoot it all the time . Just went to the range with my usc carbine and double stack .45 . Lol I reload though your milage may very .
Don't have to reload to afford it.. AAC has defensive loads for 50 cents a round in 10mm & 45 ACP
AAC's defensive ammo in 10mm/45 ACP is literally the same cost as FMJ so it's kinda crazy to buy anything else.. the 45 ACP needs a longer barrel to perform well but the 10mm performs regardless of barrel length.. and with a PCC the 45 ACP AAC ammo would be perfect
Cannot believe you are pushing that dagger pos. There are hundreds of videos showing their crap build quality . I do love psa don't get me wrong probably my favorite American manufacturers at this time . They make guns I want . This ain't one of em .. lol just save $100 and buy a real Glock .
I put right at 9k rounds through mine and oh boy did I have to replace just about everything in the gun along the way. Definitely just save up an extra $200 or buy a police trade in and not worry about premature parts failures.
My PSA dagger shoot fine.
In by the way, a Glock is $200 more expensive. The values just not there with Glock.
I've honestly seen a good bit of glock failures too
@@X-ForceBrohow many rounds through your dagger? And no you haven’t,stop lying to justify the junk you purchased.
Have you seen the Sabre dagger? 😂😂 it’s like 600 bucks and still sucks. The one video i watched had several issues with his. The Sabre rifles are full of issues I’d honestly rather have some QC than an upgraded charging handle. Hell the best i can tell the dagger nutn is showing off has almost or has lost its front pin it’s hard to tell but it’s definitely walking out.
I’m about done with psa, between the crap QC,crap assembly, stealing designs from companies that aren’t big enough to fight them in court, improper build process on the AKs,using parts with known issues and sending cease and desist orders to people talking crap about them they just aren’t the company i thought they were. It don’t matter if there is a gun in the hand of every American if the guns don’t work 🤷♂️.
come now.
9mm is cheap...cheaper now (When corrected for inflation) than in 2019. 14.5c + SH. Too bad all the other calibers are expensive.
I think 45s would be pretty popular in a PCC, because there are just 10x as many 45 pistols as 10mm pistols.
Btw, we love the watches!
🤘 😁 🤘
Dang 45 is expensive!!!!!!!
I got that knife for free from Blade HQ with another purchase
Just brace a G21,G41,G20 or a G40, it's much cheaper !
Great Video ! Just say NO to the .45 ACP Caliber ! The .45 Cal was developed to stop horses for a Calvary Charge of the Good Old Days ! Great watch review... Have a sub $100 U$D Titanium Automatic Field Watch with Screw Down Crown by Boderry (Made in China... NO No no). Only adjust the Time when I have to adjust the Date Wheel or for the Time Change ! Then this watch will remain WR to 100 Meters ! UP-Graded the watch to a thinner strap a NATO-TM strap and a Suunto clip-on Compass that makes a great watch EDC ! Like your idea of a Titanium Dive watch with a Bezel ! Also looking at Titanium Solar Quartz watch made (Assembled) in the USA with maybe Tritium... My EDC knife is still the SOG Trident with the seat belt cutter reviewed by "Nutnfancy" ! My Olight with 2300 Lumes charges the phosphorus of the watch and compass . tjl
Sure, review watches. Just not like an ad on front of another gear review. Focus Nutn!
Sadly you are correct, i cant afford to go out and shoot 9mm for an afternoon. It's not even the cost of the ammo, its the cost of everything else eating up my ammo budget. Also agree that a .45acp PCC is a waste. FJB, Trump 2024.
The 8" is better
10mm pcc, stares in just use 300 Black
Almost impossible to find defensive loads in 300 BO that expands

Nutn seems to have not gotten passed the whole budget mindset. Like those gloves have holes in them man. That's a bad buy. Yet here he is recommending them to us? Makes no sense
All gloves wear out overtime. He's saying he thinks they're worth the cost for the use he gets out of them.
@LUCNUKEM dude look at the gloves they aren't worn they are splitting at the single stitch China hem
@johnadams673 the only worn out part were the thumb pads, where there is no stitch. He specifically mentioned that they got chewed up loading mags. Any sub $20 high dexterity glove is gonna tear up doing that.
@LUCNUKEM yes all gloves from Walmart or tractor supply sure. leather palmed outdoor research cost triple and last 10x
$1300 for standard furniture and trigger 😂
Abbreviations, not acronyms. Acronyms spell a word like NASA, scuba, radar, and BART.
Specifically, they're called "initialisms."
Pick some better guns to review
Cmmg dissent is better
Im not Impressed with my cmmg crap or the company itself
I like the shorter 20 minute reviews because being a busy guy with things often interrupting.
That sucks but that would ruin it for us. I prefer at least hour long videos
CMMG is overpriced and gimmicky.
So is Daniel Defence and Wilson Combat just to name a couple.
@@tommccormick9290 Maybe, but I've never worked for Wilson or DD so I don't know their materials or manufacturing processes. I know for a fact that I can build a rifle cheaper and with better materials than you'd get just buying a rifle from CMMG.
Don't stop talking about the watches. It's fun, life should be fun. A lot of people take "reviews" and themselves WAY too seriously.
