  • The Lexus IS350 is considered one of the best Lexus cars ever made, with unmatched reliability, beautiful exterior styling, and respectable power. Over the years as these cars have become cheaper to buy and own, many including myself believe this is one of the best used luxury cars you can buy. I give you my analysis after 5+ years of ownership, what I love about the car and why I believe this is the budget car many are looking to purchase.

    I love this second gen IS. My IS250 has done me well. The 350’s are fast! I drove my friend’s 06 350 once and it’s impressive. I don’t need to show off and drive fast so the 250 is fine for me. I will say this video has basically summed up my experience owning an IS350 after I got it for college. 2006 IS 350 no real issues, at 126k miles with 5k that I put while commuting to college. People just need to make sure y'al' change the oil and ESPECIALLY make sure you maintain the transmission fluid by doing a drain and fill if you haven't already. I got lucky since mine was at a high mileage at 130k when I checked it but the oil wasn't bad enough to where changing it would harm the transmission. Ended up getting a quote for $11,800 in work before I could get a sticker. Needed a new transmission, alternator, dry belt, torque converter, and A/C. • @carswithsonduren
      @carswithsonduren  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Juan welcome to the channel! Smart decision, 2012 IS350s are the pinnacle of the second generation Lexus. First look at there’s any accidents or if any part of the car has been repainted. Check to see if it has all maintenance history and look for any potential interior and exterior defects. Take it out for a test drive make sure that the suspension engine and transmission are all properly functioning. You could take the car to an independent mechanic for a full prepurchase inspection or you can simply do it yourself by following the steps above but obviously a mechanic will be able to get under it with a hoist and do a much more thorough inspection. Overall there’s nothing major you need to worry about on these cars, look for the basics. Great choice on a phenomenal car you will absolutely love it. Keep me updated on your journey and you’ll be seeing more Lexus videos to come on here as well :-)
