THPS1 will always hold a special place in my heart. When turned 8, I wanted two things: a magic 8 ball and THPS on N64 and I got both. I didn't really touch 2 and I had 3 on my GBA. I played 4 for maybe 10 minutes at a friend's house. But in '04 I got a PS2 for my birthday and once I saw Underground, I bought it immediately. To this day that's probably my favorite game. I was shocked when I saw Tampa was in the game, that was big for me since I grew up there. I got a good laugh at seeing 2001 Odyssey in the game. Underground 2 was fun but I always felt that Underground was stronger in story, level design and graphics. I was very happy with American Wasteland. Yeah, they marketed it with "No loading screens" when it was really just skating through tunnels; but I enjoyed it. I was also a massive Green Day fan at the time and hearing them on the soundtrack and Billie Joe being an unlockable skater was cool. Project 8 is a completely different game depending on what generation of console you had. I had it on PS2 first and didn't really care for it. I've heard it's much better on 360. I had fun with Proving Ground but it's not something that I can go back to and play for hours like I can with Underground. 5 was a train wreck that I didn't even bother with. I thought that was going to be it until we got the remakes of 1+2. But Activision being Activision hype for a 3+4 remake, Underground remake or something completely new was crushed when they put all the developers on CoD.
Honestly I really appreciate the long comment this is one of my favorite things about making random videos to hear ppls gaming stories hell yeah man underground is a childhood classic for me it got me into skateboarding and Billie Joe being a unlockable character was the coolest thing to me back then!! @GameboyKeGan It was a great video. It actually made me do some thinking about making my own video talking about my history with the series. These games have been a big part of my life. I haven't had the time or motivation to make videos on a regular basis in over a year. I hope that changes this year.

Yes. Excellent. Absolutely agree on your S Tiers. I feel like I would agree on the rest too. I’m never going to play those Plastic Skateboard games. I do need to play American Wasteland. I’ve been saving it.
AndyTHPS (Developer) Said they where working on 3+4 remake but Activision canceled and split up the VV team to work on COD. Only hope we have is that the Microsoft acquisition does good for old IPs.
Great List. American Wasteland is S-Tier for me. Holds up better than most of the older games, Its basically Tony Hawk x Matt Hoffman combined (No goofy vehicles, just straight up solid BMX) Arguably has one of the best character creators we ever got in the Neversoft era (mah cultural bruthas will agree ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) Soundtrack was great, and its the ONLY GAME in the entire series that has an actual proper 2 player couch co-op career mode which is kinda crazy.😳 Classic mode is 100x better when you get to play it with the homies 🤘😎 (controversial take ...but I'd also rank Project 8 at probably between A and B tier tbh. Yeah its a little overwhelming for vets who prefer classic THPS with so much going on, but if you're a fan of THUG 1, THAW and THPS4's more open format, then Project 8 was probably the peak of that style. Might even be the Best open world Tony Hawk game we ever got)

I wrote this on break before watching the whole video, it's cool and I think makes sense we agree, I think everyone would who played most of them around their release. I also spent a ton of time online on all the ps2 ones but it doesn't sway the opinion too much
