    Recent studies reveal that four out of five outdoor enthusiasts prefer the Adventure Outdoors Channel, and today, we're diving into the world of Jetboil's Genesis Basecamp Stove. Ever found yourself daydreaming about the perfect camping gear? I certainly did, and it led me to the Jetboil Genesis.
    In a recent camping expedition with family, I faced a culinary challenge using a cumbersome Coleman stove. That's when I knew it was time to make the switch. The Jetboil Genesis caught my eye, primarily due to its compact size, featuring two burners, a significant upgrade from my old Coleman.
    The versatility of using small propane bottles to power both burners simultaneously is a game-changer. Additionally, the Jetboil offers a JetLink output for linking multiple stoves or accessories. Each burner boasts its own control valve, igniter, and four-layer leg knobs, providing a seamless cooking experience.
    But that's not all - the stove includes a practical windscreen attachment with legs that neatly fit under the leg knobs, ensuring a steady cooking environment. Jetboil claims an impressive 10,000 BTU output per burner, making it a powerhouse for outdoor cooking.
    Assembling and using the Jetboil Genesis is a breeze - turn the control knob, hear the propane, snap, and the fire is on. And yes, it's hot! The attention to detail, such as the brass tube feeding propane to the second burner, showcases the thoughtful design.
    Now, onto the fun part - a taste test featuring everyone's guilty pleasure: Spam! Slow-motion cooking footage adds to the anticipation. Whether you prefer thin or thick slices, the Genesis Basecamp delivers a delicious hickory-smoked flavor. And, as a bonus, I share a personal story about surviving on Spam during tough times.
    In conclusion, this video unintentionally turned into a commercial for hickory-smoked Spam, thanks to the incredible cooking capabilities of the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp. Find the link in the description to get your hands on this camping essential.
    Jetboil Genesis Basecamp Stove on Amazon, linktw.in/ZeOkBI
    The Jetboil Genesis is an amazing 2-burner stove and less than half the size of my Coleman Camping Stove. The Jetboil Genesis is a propane camping stove and one small propane cylinder will operate both burners at once. It would be too heavy to be considered a backpacking stove in my opinion. This Jetboil is an amazing car camping stove or truck camping stove. Both burners are powered by one 16 oz propane tank. If you've been in the market for a great portable camping stove, you should give the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp cooking stove a look.

    Anything made with meat isn't supposed to slice like soft butter. Good work with the KA-BAR. Makes a Marine proud. In Desert Storm, they used to drop off a pallet of SPAM to us in the middle of the desert. It was better than MRE's. Haven't had it since then. Cool Video, once again!

I bought the jetboil sumo yesterday but man this system you got is awesome! I really want this to cook for my buddies when we go camping. And yes there will be more spam ;)

    Cool stove! I have an older 2-burner Coleman propane camp stove, but could never use a full-sized skillet and another pot, pan, etc, side-by-side. We used to do a lot of family camping, and always took spam to fry for breakfast. Oh, shelves are empty of Spam around here currently, except for BBQ flavor. No one is buying that flavor 🤔

    …or teardrop camping… that thing looks pretty sweet. But man, it would take a long time to save up those kind of pennies. Can you hook it to a hose and run it off of a big bottle, as well? We have started carrying one of the 20 pound cylinders to run our stoves and lanterns. It works pretty good, you dont have to worry about running out and having to swap bottles in the middle of cooking a meal, a couple of times per caming trip, and they are more cost effective. You just want to be sure that you have enough in the tank before you go. One bottle last us a really long time in the teardrop. Of course, that is just in the teardrop, when we are kayak camping, it is a whole other ball game.

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  Před 4 lety

      Yes I think so. You could get one of those tank adapters and hook it to a larger tank. I hope I live to be an old man and I hope this is my last camping cooking stove which makes it cheaper in the long run.

  • @kimward-dazzlenailsdiva477

    Great video but I would have to say that the footprint of the wind guard is less than appealing. You can't fold it, therefore, making it really hard to stow away. That alone makes this otherwise awesome camp stove not so awesome.

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  Před 3 lety

      It fits perfectly in the carrying case and then you drop the stove in the carrying case. Can't remember if I showed that in the video.

  • @casualcarolinafishing5835

    It's been a long time since I've had any spam. I'm pretty sure that hickory smoke flavor wasn't even invented yet when I last had it.😜 The stove looks like it worked well. How long will one of those bottles last if you're using both burners?
