Bearded bloke sat on a mountain with steak, eggs & beer. Paul, you sir are living the dream.
Iâm CZcams famous!! Was nice to meet you Paul, hope I didnât get in the way too much.
@Gillie Monger I would have done but all I could see on the summit was the trig point and a black dot popping up and down so I didnât realise it was Paul until I got closer đ
It was very nice to meet you Chris. Glad you enjoyed your camp. Hope your feet have dried out now đ
@@PaulMessner Yup they have indeed, Iâll definitely be more careful where I cross bogs next time đ
Never has there been a hiking/camping Channel, that's so real/authentic, calming, and enlightening...as this one.
I live that you not showy or play to the camera. You're real, and I find a great sense of calmness with your camping videos
"I don't know which views better, this steak or the one over there"
*camera pans around*
Smooooooth
How does that happen? Some sort of magic I assume
While I'm stuck in my shitty, little, city apartment, I watch your videos as an escape and for a few minutes I imagine I'm there in the nature where we belong. Thank you!
Haha brilliant đđż
Yes but Paul at least you have a warm bed too sleep in, a roof over your head and food in your belly. All the dreams of owning a big house, nice car on the drive is a materialistic. I got divorced two years ago, had too sell my big house to pay the ex off, but now Iâm living in a little one bedroom flat that is well decorated, nice fitted kitchen and bathroom etc, im happier now than ever befoređ
Could you do a video about selecting a good site for pitching a tent when wild camping? Covering both where to pitch safely and discreetly.
âIâve just yoked my microphoneâ. Brilliant đ
I just yoke myself, my cats and my dogs. I guess the brits are more advanced than me. Gotta give the microphones some of those good vitamins. The secret to good CZcams audio, haha! :-)

our thoughts as well James! Great stuff Paul!!!
it is already 105K even before 22 hours ...
You stop being amateur when you start getting paid for it. Nice video, looks like a nice part of the world!
Some you tubers have over 10 million subscribers.
100,000 would be considered amateur, at one 100th the fan base of some other top people.
Itâs not a bad thing to be humble, in my opinion itâs preferable.

My bank holiday Monday just got better
like the magnetic mount idea. I will look into them. great video.
Did anyone else have problems hearing Paul at times? It's like his voice faded out a couple of times. Paul, use seam sealer on the floor of your tent. Just swipe four or five lines across from side to side.
Now, this is exactly the level of comfort that I use to have on my walks. Great reviews.
Great stuff Paul-you make us want to be chilly, sleeping in a tent on the top of a mountain! Love that our mounts are helping you capture your adventures!
A simply "Thank You" for sharing Paul. Everyone else has said it all
Was planning on going to bed here in Australia đŠđș. Guess Iâll be staying up for a bit longer đđđ»
it's 1 am you could still push it
My Rocky Mountain Canadian brain kept screaming "What about the bears Paul!? You left food scraps by your tent! They're gonna get ya while you sleeping!" I had to remind myself your fine cause you're not in bear/wolf/cougar country! Thanks for sharing and inspiring people to enjoy the outdoors with you. For anyone interested you don't need to get the best of the best gear to get started, even Walmart or a similar-style store can get you out a couple weekends in the summer and you can upgrade to what suits your needs.
That steak and eggs looked scrumptious! Great shout out to Novice Wild Camper and his little folding table. I'm loving the tent. I've just ordered a Tarptent Noch li - so I'm hoping the quality is as good as people say. Happy Hiking đ„Ÿ- Julia
Love watching your wild camping videos , nice to see what new kit youâve got and itâs very relaxing to watching where your wild camping đ
Cracking vid as always Paul. Camped up there myself a while back. Lovely area. Sleeping bag looked interesting. Great work as always. ATB and TFS.... Craig đđŒ
Oh wow this is amazing! Those views! That food!!!!
Everything about this set up is top class.
Itâs a little out of my price range but love that sleeping bag/ blanket. Awesome bit of kit. Good work đđ»
Excellent video! I love the UK landscape and view. Where I live in Canada I cant see past the trees when I camp. This reminds me of SW Saskatchewan.
Gâday Paul, great to see you out and about again. Love your camping gear and photographic equipment too. Love the view as well.
Cheers from Down Under đ»
The effort you put in with the multiple camera angles is incredible so many!
Awesome video man, love the vibe and the editing is great! Hope to see more like this! :)
Great video again Paul . Love your freedom of advice . Keep up the great work đ
Great video my bank holiday Monday is my first solo camp with a tarp in my garden had a good night on my air mattress.
Thank you Paul for giving me the inspiration to go camping. I just came back from 3 day hike, greetings from Macedonia!
Really enjoyable thanks for sharing, some great ideas there and the invisible selfie stick threw me as I always thought it was taken from a drone!
Look forward to the next outing đ
Nothing more than outstanding Paul, one of the best out there buddy, well done.
Like the bag mate, hate zipping up in mine...... as you know, big fan of the Scarp - ATB
Little Hack for you Paul. You only need one side on your chopping board. To stop the pan slipping around when eating, use a hot gun and put some lines of heat glue on one side. When cooled and dry it will stop anything placed on it slipping around and it does not mind a little heat. I did this at home to stop chopping board slipping around on work surface. Kind regards!
when I was in the navy we would put a slice of bread on the table then put our plate on top. Would stop the food from slipping around while the ship was rolling.
Hi Paul. It is great to see that you are still wild camping so thank you for making the effort to do this. Congratulations to your success on CZcams. You explain and present your topics in a crystal clear manner. Either this comes naturally or you make a big effort to structure it but either way you get the results. I am trying very hard to build my channel but it is super slow. My content is far too focused so I am working on expanding it. I frequently look at your work and would never directly copy but I do get many ideas form your excellent content and presentation. Keep doing what you are doing very well done. ATB Tom
Awesome stuff paul đđ» great to see you out in the country side again. Interesting to see how those instas work as wellđđ»
Inspiring video, thank you Paul. Amazed by how little condensation there was by the morning. I'm off to Cornwall in under two weeks for some camping.
Yay! Nice to see you back.
Watched this video, instantly subscribed- just got a wee bit over excited when I realised how many videos this dude has done đ
Awesome video Paul. Loving the camera gear and that sleeping bag looks well comfy. Those magnets will save a lot of faffing about too! All the best..
Day
Nothing âamateurâ about your videos, Mr M!! That steak looked pretty good too!!!
Thank you for showing us this beautiful view, and the food!
Glad to see you wild camping again!
Wow...beautiful scene
what you do with tarp tents is when you seam seal it you also put strips on the floor with the seam sealer it stop the you from siding arround and every year repeat depends how much you use it... i used mine for 100 night and it need a few more strip of sealant
Hey man Love your video's. there always informative and really help out beginner campers like me.
Beautiful area one of my favourites... spend hours and hours up there running and training... awesome vid
Champion camera angles Paul. Proper pro skills mate. Thanks as always for the great vids.
Part of me want to know how you got the eggs into the bottle, part of me wants to maintain the mystery đđ
Great vid Paul. Cool to see the new angles that the new cameras give. đ
Fantastic video Paul, thanks for showing the cameras you use. Great to see you out and about. ATB Marti
@Paul I have had my scarp1 for several years, its a great tent, I have learnt a few things over the years. To stop your mat from slipping on the floor put your spare clothes under the mat at the low end. Also painting lines with diluted silicone on the floor helps too. Also to stop the cross pole straps from flapping in the wind hook them together (I have the old style of cross pole strap hooks, so this might not be possible with the new style on the new scarp models). PS enjoy our channel.
Good to see you trying out all that gear, enjoyed the video as always đđđŸ
Always such beautifully filmed videos đ€
Hi Paul love your vids! The red liquid is actually myoglobin, a protein that's only found in muscle tissue. Myoglobin carries oxygen through the muscle and contains a red pigment - which is why muscle tissue is red. As a steak is cooked, the myoglobin darkens - which is why the more âwell-doneâ the meat is, the grayer it looks. all the best mate and I look forward to more great videos from you! đ
Youâre back at last! Youâre different, fresher. I like it.
Paul, try a strip of under rug rubber slipstop. Works a treat on tent floors. Nice vid đ
Great vid Paul, seam sealed my tarptent scarp 2 couple weeks ago so hopefully second outing next week for me . These tents are are definitely up along side the hillibergs.
Another great video Paul - life is starting to feel more normal now weâre getting PM camping videos! Interested to hear your longer-term thoughts on the Flex Capacitor now youâve had it a while.
the way he say's necklace is funny...
good video i always like seeing youtubers filming equipment
Nice to be alone, but also nice to meet new interesting people!
You should be a ambassador for England pal. You literally showing how beautiful are amazing country is. People unfortunately don't see it and all its glory just complain in their so called ' shitholes '
Your my motivation to see more of my country đ
Thanks Paul finally seen how you got those selfie videos without the pole showing. Keep up the good work.
Youâre the best! Thanks for sharing all this!
I love that sleeping bag. Used it high in the alps at -5°C. Unfortunately the sleeve didn't fit my nemo tensor but i added a few elastic straps and seems to do the trick. When the ground is not even i like to add a foam mat between the sleeping bag and mattress and try to even out with my bag and any extra clothes
Great, quiet spot there Paul. The sleeping bag looks awesome, bit pricey for me though. Steak and Eggs at the best table in town. And your camera work and editing are on point. đđ»
I envy you Paul, I cannot wait to get out to do some camping. Reliant on a lift so I have to wait patiently until my pal gets his holidays sorted.
Grub looked amazing mate!! Awesome video as always đ
Good to see you back to your roots.
Love what did with the eggs, thankyou debs.
This guys great to watch. Learned so much. Cheers bud
Good one Paul, I might have a look at one of those sleeping bags, looks interesting. A few silicone dots on the floor might sort your slippage issues.
Thanks Again For Streaming Your Life Here On CZcams.
Another good video. Good to see you out. Went out with friends. Had a faulty canister on their jetboil .Lucky I took the Trangia also otherwise we would have been stuffed.
Iâve got the cascade design table after seeing you use it. The hump in the middle is easily cured. Pop open the press studs and fold it the opposite way couple of times. Hump will have disappeared.đ€
Lol. I was wondering how you recorded urself so high up. I couldnât see the selfy stick so it almost seemed like a mini drone.
Stunning video! That scenery... đ
brilliant yet again! made me disappointed i let the rain prevent me going out for a walk. should have gone anyway!
So nice to see you back in your natural habitat, none of this chopping holes in a van malarchy đ he's back to his old tricks and it's a great watch
First time seeing snap mounts. Genius, added to my holiday wishlist :D Also first time commenting. Recently subscribed and am enjoying your content a lot.
Great video Paul being so quiet you had to be somewhere in the western dales I go up quite a bit and Iâm lucky if I see anyone all day đđ
Sir, your solo camping is fantastic!
Great video! Your videos are amazing. Cool to see those adventures.
Great spot mate. You was taking the LNT to the limit with what was left in the frying pan. I've started using them Taylor's coffee bags too. Nice coffee once you get over the initial price đđ .Looking forward to the next vid. Stay safe mate, and ATB, Grizzđđ»đđ»
yeah, i super enjoyed this oldskool content! nice 1 Paul !
Nice spot what good view the lakes from there mate. Nice tent looks very roomy looks like it be ok in the wind... Richard
Great video Paul and very nice location that looked like â°đđ»â°
Love those snap on mounts for the gopro I was actually looking at those before, but think this has edged me towards them again haha.
Thanks for sharing đđ»
ATB... Chris
Fantastic Paul! And that steak looked top notch. Take it steady fella đ
I was wondering how you managed to take selfie stick clips without the stick ! Clever stuff that stick ! Thanks for another great clip mate ! Making me want to start camping !!
The camera crew are working wonders lately, bravo!
Excellent video , looked like a very tasty meal you made there. Beautiful skies !!! Some very nice camera equipment !!!
Subscribed !!
Yes! Letâs see a video on the long selfie camera! Thatâs so cool! What was the night temp where you slept? I canât wait to try your recommendations:)!
Man Paul stepping up his camera game. Nice work.
Well you definitely left no trace of your tea. Great vid as always.
Great video, once again cheers. Quality of video is really good.
Love that little table. Great vid Paul. Thank you.
I'm waiting for more stock to come in if you want one. Follow the link in Paul's vid description and it'll take you to my vid with a link to ebay if you want one or contact me direct on Facebook đ
Made me chuckle when you said only gives you 1440p resolution đ€Łđ€Ł. 2k is just fine mate haha. Great video.đđ
Great video. I like how some things just becomes sort of a standard. Like Nalgene bottles. They are the only ones I use, have about 20 in different sizes đ
paul love the cap GoPro mount cool
Great video again Paul thanks... I thought that table look fantastic cheers paul all the best marra take care stay safe #leavenotrace đ
It's very lightweight so well worth slipping in the back of your pack. Not sure how much they are though. I'd guess around a tenner. ATB Paul
For anyone interested this seems to be south east of the lakes. Near the York Moors. You can just see Lancaster power station to the south on the coast and Morecambe bay opposite.
