As an older black woman that young man is excellent as a head drummer . Now he's moved on to college now very good excellent . ❤❤❤❤❤❤ his team was a great team in high school they were all on point teamwork make a DreamWork
I have seen many H.S.bands and these 4 DM are the best all around, they are incredible. I like that they wear simple school outfits as their uniforms and not flashy color uniforms that deflect from their performance.
Ah ok, so this was not just practicing before hand lol well now I know.
THEY WOULD LIKE TO HAVE UNIFORMS BUT HAVE TO WEAR T-SHIRTS AND SWEATS B/C THEUR SCHOOL DISTRICT/SCHOOL can NOT afford uniforms.

😂basic at best, you should come to Savannah GA bc all their public high schools bands wld make these kids look like amateur's for certain!
The best thing about him is his gaze....it's determined!
You can tell a high school that puts work into their music program you dont put no mess on the field and the work shows

Justin is light skinded
I have been looking up videos with Justin. He is simply a great dancer. I saw one video where he had a little solo as a trumpet player his freshman year. In another one he is doing Magic Mike moves. When you couple that with precision, leadership, and marching, you have a great combo. So entertaining.
Ok, I confess to be a white gramma but I think this is awesome! What I particularly love was his Lieutenant appeared to direct the drum section so when they "got down" that lieutenant was in charge. That is the way it should be. Ultimately the band members should rule the band! This was inspirational!!
Justin goes to Alabama State and plays trumpet.
He's now a drum major for this fall season.

I love to watch drum majors doing their thing. These guys who were once at Jefferson Davis take it to a whole new level as far as I'm concerned.
This Young Guy is fantastic. You can tell he's having FUN and His classmates respect him! In one other video I saw Vanilla Funk in he played horn so you can tell he's a versatile Band memeber

Dallas Skyline is legit. My kid attends a PWS in district and when we played them our fans were rushing our own band off field just to see that soul food seasoning Skyline was dropping.
I checked out other years at Jeff Davis - drum major & band. Every year they had super incredible drum majors. I mean Jackson State who? They better watch out!

Yep skyline march like jsu too. I'm starting to realize the highschools mirror the colleges. Like soc to gramling. Gramling band used to practice at soc when the battle of the band and pv and gramling game comes

Honestly….. For me…. Justin was better in high school than what they do at ASU …. They barely even dance like this…. Justin should consider entering the transfer portal for bands and go to Jackson State. He can do it. He’s got what it takes.

💯 Alabama State's drum majors have a rigid style of march...they don't do anything at all to showcase Justin's versatility. It's funny that the performance style that made him famous is nowhere to be found at Alabama State
I’m just assuming, but he probably went to ASU because of the TUITION factor!! ASU is an in-state school for him, so his tuition is far less than it would be at JSU, which is out of state way in Jackson, Mississippi. He’s doing his thing at ASU, though!
