Hi, I don't go to ASU but if you were referring to the white Drum Major Justin. I call him Zebra/🦓. Because you can't tell he is white unless you see him up close.

I love this band. They're so polished and on point. It was just a couple of Thanksgivings ago that Justin was leading his high school band along this same route.

when justin lead he was dance heavy i thought he would go somewhere that did the same.. the marching is clean its just justin is a showman not really seeing much showy stuff here but then again it could be just the way he led or asu's style in general

after watching what Justin and his team did at the rex parade in 2020 i knew he was not satisfied with what they have him doing here.If they don't let him explore his creativity, no matter how prestigious this position is, he'll probably change his major to theater and it will be their loss for not welcoming change

ASU has always been solid but... I remember seeing people say he would never be granted scholarships for being so unique... hhh that's funny... one of my friends won the nail pro cup in 2019.. the majority of people who do nails are asian.. standing out and showing you can hang is special af... I do nails... soon to apprentice as an electrician... I like surprising people... nothing will ever get better like we want until everyone can "hang" hhh... I stand by that... I'm the pastiest person that works in my nail salon... I'm proud of it... I don't believe that your outside flavor means anything... moment we all recognize that... we grow... some of us have not just a point to prove... it's a loving agenda for everything MLK wanted in the first damn place. It applies to all the things... maybe I do have a point to prove? ...if you dug deeper maybe I wished it wasn't necessary. LETS GOOO

The film didn't last long enough. Its four or five blocks to Court Square. From Perry St to Court St the ground is pretty level. Much safer for the band members to put on their show. The part of Dexter Ave on the film is pretty steep. Many more people close to Court Square. Most of the net work camera's will be there.

Justin's high school drum majors put on a more energetic and amusing show than this college exhibited in this brief exhibition. The four lads may need to shed about half the gear they're wearing so they can move a bit more. Also, what's with the fat girls bringing up the rear?

What is the obsession with Justin? Some of you act like there aren't any other drum majors marching. He's no different than any other white person appropriating black culture. The obsession is so disrespectful to the BLACK drum majors.
Many have been watching him since he was in high school. He was a lead drum major for Jefferson Davis HS. There's a lot of videos on CZcams of him from that time. He cold. It was a lot of speculation that he would go to an HBCU since he went to a black high school. I don't think it's meant as disrespect to the other students. Folks just don't know their names or stories.
It would only be disrespectful if the camera was was on him alone, while leaving everyone else out. It's a Thanksgiving Day parade, not a job interview.
@@faith2xxx And that's exactly the point. The camera is always on him, especially if Showtime is filming. He literally called Justin the head drum major in the beginning of the year. THAT is disrespectful.
@@anital.3919 I've seen him in high school as well and the fact still remains he HAS TO appropriate black culture to be who he is just like any other white person who appropriates black culture. What I like that the Marching Hornets did was tell the story of the head drum major and highlight the other drum majors. There should be no reason that this one drum major is being highlighted like he's doing something exceptional when he has to use black culture to do what he's doing.
