Player's like Édouard Mendy make football really magical and a huge reason I love the sport, it's such a humbling story
As a chelsea fan Mendy came in as a saviour and I have nothing but respect for him. Also knowing how much he struggled to get where he is now doubles that. He is definitely one of the more underrated members of the CFC squad and one of the more underrated GK in world football rn. Thanks for making a video on him I really loved it so much.

And if you are forgetting the reason kepa is doing better now has a lot to do with mendy. Mendy got him off the spotlight and gave him a chance get his confidence back. Time and time again he has shown that him just being on the goal helps the defence a lot.

As a Liverpool fan, Mendy single handedly denied my team the three points! His save from the Mo Salah chip, is right up there as the best save of the season! Much respect to his story! People like Mendy inspire a whole generation of young kids to never give up on one's dream!

Look, my friend!... I am a Chelsea fan and a fellow African. I know the story of Edouard Mendy. But hearing you narrate it gave me goosebumps. Almost to the point of tears. Mendy is an incredible beast of a goalkeeper and with such a back story only makes him an even better human being. And he deserves every single achievement he has gotten in the past year. Yes he has won the champions league, the super cup, AFCON, Club world Cup and Fifa Best Goalkeeper of the year... But I think his biggest achievement so far is Bringing the beast in Kepa Arrizabalaga as well. Before Mendy came to Chelsea, Kepa was a disaster. But look at Kepa now world Class. Mendy is a true icon, and I love him. Thank you for shedding light on Mendy's story so we can all learn from it. Kudos!!!
You should have delayed this till after the AFCON. His save against Salah was outstanding. He's already the goalkeeper of the tournament, and what makes the win more memorable is that this is the first time Senegal have won the tournament.

As a barca fan I have nothing but respect for Mendy, he is currently top 5 keepers and yet is still underrated, he was the most important player for Chelsea in their champions league win, I was so mad when he wasn't even on the balon d or list

I am so touched with this video. This video serves as great life lesson. Always follow your dreams and never give up in following them no matter the circumstances. Always love what you do and it shall all be well with you. He could have said ahh...let me give up and venture into something else but he never loose hope but instead he decided to work very hard to be where he is today.
