  • Have you ever looked at something and thought, “I can build that”? The idea for this dining table build came about with just such a thought. In this first of two videos, I’ll show you how I made that idea a reality, starting with the top.
Here's the table that inspired the build: • Tiled Trash to Perfect...
Here’s the other video showing how I built the frame: • Building the Frame // ...

Daughters? We've got three of them, you're in trouble for years to come 😊Now we've got 2 "grand daughters", and life got better for us. Good to see your girls in the shop with you. All of our daughters spent hours in the shop with me learning and using hand tools. Now our 13 year old grand daughter is in the shop learning with most of the same hand tools her mom learned with. Our daughters all have degrees in architecture, 4th generation managing our family architectural millwork business. All 3 of them have their personal woodworking shops at their homes and have built most of the furniture in their homes. Start them young in the shop. Have patience and understanding with them. It's good to see your girls in the shop with you. Thanks for sharing your videos with the girls in the shop with you. Brought smiles and happy memories for us.

Very well done! Brilliant recovery on the jigsaw problem! We would also like to compliment you for including your child. We have noticed the woodworking community spends more time with their children and often times having them participate, instead of shooing them away or giving them a tablet to veg out on. We need more parents like you! Keep the videos coming

I wanted to reply again to let you know just how much of an impact this comment had on me. As I’m sure you know, starting a channel is tough. I saw this comment when I was wondering if anyone was actually watching that wasn’t family. Your comment was not only an incredibly kind thing to say to somebody you’ve never met, but came at a rather key moment in time for me.
You helped me realize there’s a whole community out there that I wasn’t aware of. And everywhere I went, you were there propping up content creators with nice comments. If my channel manages to gain any momentum, I want you to know it probably wouldn’t have happened without you being out there giving your support to a small channel nobody had heard of.
So while this seems a little inadequate to say, hopefully you now know how much meaning it carries: Thank you!

@@WhiteLabWorkshop I am stunned and humbled by your kind response. Our channel is by no means a large channel and like you, we started with only family in mind it was only the beginning of this year that we decided if we are going to post on CZcams then we should do things properly. We we at your level and no how tough it is. Just keep doing what you are doing and more people will begin to watch your videos. The more people that watch, the more CZcams's algorithm will direct people to your videos. There are people who's channels explode overnight but the vast majority require lots of effort, time and patience. We love your content and are cheering for you!

What's interesting is that my YT feed was full of woodworking channels, but the big ones. Great content and great communities, but way too big to have anyone take notice of my little channel. What I was missing were the channels where I could jump in and become part of the community, instead of just posting videos and commenting into the void. It was you who inadvertently showed me that there's a whole network of channels out there working together to grow themselves. It was exactly what I needed, when I needed it. And it's all thanks to your efforts to grow your own channel and support the community. I definitely appreciate your support!

@@WhiteLabWorkshop I am part of a small group of CZcams Woodworkers with small channels. We started the group when we all were around 100 subscribers. I love your attitude and think you would be a great asset to our group. We support each other, share ideas, help each other with ways to improve and grow, answer each other’s questions and definitely have some fun with chatting. We keep the group small because with too many people, it is hard keeping up with everyone and being able to know everyone’s channel and be able to help one another. I would like to extend an invite to you if you are interested in joining. Please note: if you join, there is no pressure. You can say as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. No one will judge. They are a great group of people that I am lucky to have found. Let me know if interested and I will work it out with you.
