The other thing about Redd is that not only is some of the art fake, it's also haunted.
Pity. He probably could have quite a profitable business if he was open about the paintings being reproductions.
To be fair to Yakuza, the pictures are forwarded to the police to help them arrest these people. Not that it seems to be working, but it is the point.
And in some of the pictures, it shows a cop or two either chasing a sicko or already apprehending one

As soon as I met this guy (other than thinking "is this Pokemon Snap?" before the Sicko Snap name popped up) is "So you decided to dedicate time to taking pictures of these men? Sounds youre a bit of a sick fuck yourself"
He seemed way too into it to be just doing it for the community
Millibelle from Hollowknight. She sets up a fake bank stand, sells a membership to you, let’s you store up to 4500 geo, and then steals it all, using it to visit the local hot spring pleasure house. What a thief.
Doesn't count since you can find her. Equip Fragile/Unbreakable Greed and get all your money back with 50% interest. She's more of an NPC that screwed you but didn't run far enough.
Well, that depends on if the knight decides to press charges or not. If the knight presses charges on Millibelle for petty theft, she could be thrown in the Dirtmouth county jail.

True other than that he's a pretty good mayor. Personally my choice might be Mr. Qi due to all the shady business he seems to deal with.

The Stardew community on Reddit would invariably throw Pierre in jail without any hesitation. I think there’s even a popular subreddit dedicated to anti-Pierre sentiments.

Groose from Zelda: Skyward Sword's bullying definitely breaks some laws which he never seems to get punished for, such as animal abuse, theft and assault. Not to mention if Zelda hadn't saved Link at the beginning with her Loftwing, Link could have died.
I've lived in Hawaii for just over 30 years, I can confirm the accuracy of this criticism of the HPD.

She does do something criminal, she can be reasonably suspected to know people would only agree to trade for it to evolve and not only does she make sure it doesn't, she confirmed she intentionally screwed you over. The fraud.

If I remember right it was one of if not the only way to get an Everstone in that game.
Esentially the idea was to indirectly give the player an Everstone which are useful for breeding.
That being said unless you actually wanted that everstone this was stikk a kick in the teeth.
@@metazoxan2 You don't, well one of the few surefire. But let's not spread that as if it is hard to get your hands on one. You can just find them underground. While a bit low there is a 5% chance wild Geodude/ Gravelers just has one. I grind for those odds every time i replay leaf green/fire red for a Pikachu.
The coffee Ring on da Vinci's paperwork isn't that hard to believe... Though we consider it to be artwork today, that was just random notes to him, at the time.
To be fair, they still very much are just notes. Some people just got way too into them and now want to sell them for millions
@@ericlamb4501 Everything has the value we place on it. Unique items with a special history attached to it is almost always worth more than things abundantly available, factoring in production cost, of course. The whole economy is just everyone agreeing not to think too much about it, really.
I love how most of these characters are doing things which are wrong/illegal in the universe of their own games, but I just KNOW that the one everyone hates the most is Mindy for screwing you, the player, personally. Mindy, your days are numbered.

The first time you meet him he's on the island itself with the boat just anchored at the secret beach. Also, international waters only start 12 miles out not right offshore.

The channel is actually more "family friendly" than anything else. And cannibal meal is basically gore.
Blathers is probably an innocent victim of Nook and Redd but you can tell which paintings are real (if you can't tell from the off and you don't feel like checking the wiki) by turning them around after you get them in the mail. If you see a dark beige paper on the back, it's the provenance papers that prove in less than two seconds that your money's been well spent.
Good luck with the sculptures though. That my friend, is your true test.

Another thing about Redd from Animal Crossing. Yes, he sells fake art (there pages online that tell which are real and fake), but he sells DUPLICATES of real art. They always sell for less than your purchase price as well.

Ironically the painting of Ophelia is always real. It’s never fake.
Given that each paining from Redd is nearly 5000 bells each, I've begun to keep a list of all of the paintings I've purchased and I look up guides to help me out. And it's not just paintings, either. Anything art related from him needs to be vetted before buying.
Just FYI, there's a chunk of his art that's never fake and will always be legit.
Additionally, at least 1 item he sells every time he shows up will be real as well.
@@eddmario Ah, didn't know at least one item would always be real. Sometimes it seems everything is fake (or, I might already have the item, so that could be what I've experienced. I've not bought a lot from him yet). Thankfully, gaming websites have already done the hard work for me, I just need to be careful to not repurchase something I've already bought (which is why I keep a list now).

The worst part about the ending of Dragon's Dogma, is that the King actually believes that you took the same deal he did instead of slaying the dragon. That and the massive hole that opens up in the middle of the city.....kinda really didn't help. Absolutely wonderful post-game though

I couldn't work out why YT thought I hadn't watched this. Anyway, to repeat, I always like to try and guess who got what capture, but in this case I think the Animal Crossing one is an easy starter for ten.
I'm about to make Ellen very cross, but... Alyn Shir from Kingdoms of Amalur. A spy, admitted murderer, thief, stalker... She's on your side so you don't get to do anything about her but the amount of times she's suddenly turned up when nobody should have the faintest idea where you are is DEEPLY CONCERNING.
12:43 this would’ve been the perfect opportunity to put in the footage at the end of Quest for the Holy Grail, or at the very least, the clip where Scratchy breathes in Itchy in Fantasia/Simpsons.
Duke Oliver from Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. He's a slaver and implied rapist who's also a bishop in the church. You fifht annd defeat him in the first game but turns out he survived amd nursed back to health by the other bishops. He shows up in Radiant Dawn where he can be recruited by talking to the naive brother of two of the slaves you rescued from him in the first game. After you recruit him he's pretty much just comic relief for a few chapters and then the game ends and he never gets his comeuppance.
I deserve to be on trial for war crimes for my time in rimworld.
So basically Doc Crocker is like Dr Steinman in Bioshock
Pretty much a good chunk of the Half-Life and Portal universe. Both Black Mesa and Aperture are staffed and run by people who have committed far too many crimes to list. Both companies have tons of building violations that would have OSHA slapping them like they were a Three Stooges act. Black Mesa conducts unethical experiments on aliens, and Aperture committed sins against nature by uploading human minds into machinery. Even if one company didn't unleash a cosmic apocalypse and the other didn't destroy itself because of rampaging projects, they'd both be in hot water once someone managed to survive working for them to report them to the proper authorities.
What about Mr. Match from Megaman Battle Network? A good chunk of the games he's in, he's doing illegal things, illegal things that could end up killing people with fire. He duped the protagonist of the series, Lan Hikari, in Battle Network 3, into almost setting Sci-lab on fire and killing everyone there, including Lan's dad, Yuchiro Hikari, who ends up in the hospital due to what Lan did when fooled by Mr. Match. Yet in all the games in the series, except Battle Network 5, he's present there. Who in the right mind would hire Mr. Match as a teacher in Battle Network 6? Surely the WWW (World 3, the crime syndicate he is a part of in some of the games) is infamous enough that even those outside Lan's home area, knows what evil crimes he committed? And yet, the Officials (the law enforcement in Electopia) and NetPolice, lets him run free.
I feel the only reason Mr. Match actually turns over a new leaf for reals this time in BN6, is because he's in love with the hotdog sales lady in BN4, as in BN4, he tries to bring destruction to the Dendome, but once he noticed the girl he loves was in the audience during the tournament he was a part of, he called off the plan, because he didn't want to put her in danger. Yet the law enforcement does NOTHING to imprison him for his crimes, as if they expect the Elementary school student, Lan Hikari, to stop Mr. Match every time Match tries to cause crimes, as he always does.

Similar to Mindy, there's a guy in Pokemon Sun and Moon who asks you to trade him your phantump for his so that both pokemon evolve into a trevanent. However, he missed the memo that you're supposed to trade both pokemon back afterwards.

The only npc i can think of that deserves to be in jail is conrad verner from mass effect specifically when you meet him in 2 where hes pretending to be a spectre
I thought the dragon's dogma one was going to be the Jester because he puts a humiliating mask on you for which he should be shot into the sea.
Mindy won me the lottery many years after so it's a partial forgiveness.
Plenty of characters in FFXIV deserve this list... Emet-Selch, Fordola, that guy from the Sage questline...
Haggie from Breath of the Wild. He tricks you into accepting money, and then orders you to go and fight some of the most dangerous enemies in the game. For nothing but his entertainment. I don't wanna know many hapless and overconfident wannabe adventurers he sent to their untimely deaths before the player comes along.

Adam and the rest of the scavengers just pick up parts they could use or sell. There's a whole side mission which is one tricking you into helping them so the rest can strip eve for parts on the black market
All scavengers in the game look the same. There's only a black market ain't there?
Come to think of it, Adams high tech gear like his bike, his drone and his dropship. Is he allowed to have those in a mostly wasteland world where humans created specifically for battle struggle? I'm telling mother sphere
Mindy is so infamous there's a subreddit dedicated to hating her. The trade was also referenced in SV, where an npc in Levincia will trade you a Haunter that actually does evolve. I think it has a similar name to Mindy's. The npc even comments on the evolution.
