    There both the same controller internally, I watched a video and a guy took apart an Elite Series 2 at the same time as a Core side by side to compare all the internal components and both controllers were identical internally... The differences between these 2 controllers is the colour and the fact that you have to buy all the components like sticks and paddles separately if you buy the core. In my opinion if you want one and already owned an elite series 2 in the past than buy the core because you can reuse all the components from your series 2 on the core controller.

      It is also likely to get more people in the door at a cheaper starting point, as Microsoft sells the entire accessory pack with the case, replaceable parts, and charging dock separately. I've become to reliant on having the four extra buttons with the paddles on these elite controllers. I had to buy one of these as backup since my first series 2 is starting to act up after 6 months with the face buttons giving multiple inputs with single button presses and the right bumper not registering at all at times. I'm glad they're both identical so I can move all the parts from my first controller on to the core while I send the other one for replacement or whatever ms decides to do.
    edit: Alright just received my series 2 core today and can say that they are not 100% identical. Anyone that has used an original elite series 2 will instantly notice the core's matte body as opposed to the originals rubberized body, next will be the matte finish on the triggers and bumpers instead of the smooth finish on the originals, the guide button is inverted on the core where it has a solid x. That's all I noticed to be different at the moment, probly just me but I feel the rumble on the core might be weaker.

    Its unprecise flipping back to center and the sometimes not working A-Button is sadly my exoerience with my limited xbox one "grey/green"-edition back then when I bought it 😞 I´ve lost the motivation playing with a controller right away... today I was so proud as my White Core arrived. Right now everything is working fine - but once I thought "hmm...did the a-button react?" - lets hope it has and will not happen to me again. But ok - this time I can send it back in 30 days when it appears to fail. What I really love is that you can shorten the trigger-way for LT/RT and instead of using the much to high LB/RB (worst ergonomics on many controller) now I can use the paddles on the back instead - love it 🥰👍 What I dont like is that it seems you can not take out or change the battery - at least not easily.

    I have a gaming monitor with a great response time so that input lag is minimum and none when wired. The stock controller has a lower input lag then the elite when wireless and even when wired it somehow still has a greater input. You must not game then if you think it's designed for "wear and tear" and "last for years" 9 months in i needed a replacement as the triggers were sticking and grinding on the bumpers. 4 months after the replacement was received ive got terrible thumbstick drift, also upon receiving the "replacement" it had the same issue as my original one did. So i fixed it as i wasn't going to wait 2.5 weeks and spend time on chat with support. I've used elite controllers since the very first day it was released, the OG elite controller, they all fall apart after a few months. Only controllers i had last were standard xbox one controllers.... Waste of money in my OP might buckle down and get better at MKB.

    @lastshinobi5666 Před 8 měsíci +1

    This the white one is basically meant for replacing your original so you don't have to spend an arm and a leg again. I don't buy into the whole casual gamer thing and the white one being ok. There is no reason for a casual gamer to own an elite without the paddles, save your money and get a regular controller at that point.

      Does it really? Here in India Elite Series 2 cost USD 220 and If I buy that core one with white color + those paddles and accesories seperately then in total USD 196...I was almost sure that both are same but then I saw your comment...Now I am confuse again which one to go with Lol I really don't care about controller colors but if you right then metal and plastic can be huge difference

    I check reviews for these regularly and I’m always on the fence. I feel like I should take comments with a grain of salt and just try one. They may fail to admit it but too many gamers put miles on hardware, eat while playing, rage and toss them, etc. Not to mention some just handle the controllers rather aggressively. Idk I just doubt every person commenting about stick drift or other issue are “responsible owners.” Ive owned literally every Xbox since it’s inception and Ive never had a controller last any less than 2 years. Just my 2¢.

    Hey, I know its been awhile since Xbox Elite 1 controller has been out. At first, I thought it was a sticky or misaligned right trigger, its not. I checked on Xbox Accessories, both Left & Right Triggers are "Limited for 100%" to describe it. They won't go the full 100% like if I remap the Top 2 Paddles do. Any fix for both of my triggers at 100% again?
