Are these the best Volkswagen Transporter wheels EVER for T5 to T6.1. We think so and explain why

  • Ok so we might be biased as we're the UK and European distributor, but there is good reason we decided to work with the Navis factory.
    The Navis wheels range now covers everything, from steels, 17" and 20" cast alloy wheels to custom made forged split rims. Whether you want something rugged and tough, or maybe a little more motortsport, or even that really special wheel for show season, there is a wheel in the Navis range for you. Best of all these are all built especially for the VW Transporter T5 to T6.1 platform, with the addition that they are also load rated and tested to work with the new Volkswagen Crafter / Man TGE.
    We've been involved in the previous and future design process, and there are some more stunners being added to this already impressive range, so keep watching.
    As Transporter HQ Europe, we are also working with Navis wheels to get some of the designs TÜV approved for the German and other European country market.
    We are also in looking at making the Navis wheels range available in Australia. More details coming soon.
    I hope you've enjoyed the video, please do hit that like button, it means a lot!!
    More video's coming very soon so please keep watching.

    Your Navis wheels are bang on, no question about it BUT though 20's look GREAT especially on an aired out weedeater, in the real world, the world where we drive our vans everyday down pothole riddled B roads and lanes 19's with a bit more rubber round your beautiful rims feels better. Why don't THQ get on the blower to Accelera, get a phi 103y rated 235/45/19 produced, and sold by you?! 1000's of units could potentially be sold by you guys every month and push you even quicker towards world DOMINATION! Repeat business is always a good thing. Love your videos. Peace brothers

    • @THQAutomotive
      @THQAutomotive  Před rokem

      We managed to get a factory to make a 103 rated 275/35/20 and 255/35/20 but had to guarantee big numbers for them to produce the tyre. We know from the Navis steels, 20's out sell 19's 20 to 1. Mold costs for wheels and tyres are so expensive, I don't believe sales would ever cover those costs.
      20's honestly don't have to be uncomfortable, 265/40/20 is a really comfortable type. Good quality coilovers also massively make a difference.

      @@THQAutomotive I think with the diamond cut, as long as it's not the actual rim that has been done they tend to last well enough, once a rim has the slightest nick, then yes they deteriorate really quickly. But a full colour version would work well enough

    Big supporter of THQ (always give a shout out when doing my vids on here) and I'm currently looking for a new set of wheels but I find the mark-up at THQ EU for the wheels is too high (£1100 in UK for GP7 but £1325 in NL). When I also factor in the cost of shipping from NL to CZ It works out cheaper to drive and get a ferry to the UK and buy them locally.

    • @THQAutomotive
      @THQAutomotive  Před rokem +1

      The issue is anti dumping tax that has to be paid on alloy. Navis are in the Uk so tax is a paid to there. They are then shipped to Europe so that tax is paid again. You would also have to pay that tax from UK to CZ

    Hi, just after some advice with the wheels on my T6 camper. It's on 20's which are load rated correctly (just!), with 245/45/20 tyres but I'm considering switching to Navis twins for something stronger. My question is, what tyres could I fit that would make the ride a bit smoother if that's possible without compromising the look too much? The current wheels are 20" RS fox iota wheels (they look a bit like RS6 rims) which were on when I bought it. It's dropped on B14 komfort coilovers which came from yourselves too which also made a massive difference to how it drives.
    Any help appreciated 👍
