It’s quite dangerous to be jumping from anymore than about 6m without knowing some form of proper diving technique. It’s very easy to injure yourself if you don’t land properly. Notice how Molly does a proper “Pencil Dive” with her legs closed and arms either above her head, directly at her sides or crossed in front of her. Very important to create the narrowest profile of your body possible when you enter the water.
I feel like 7 or 8 metres is also still alright, 'cause I've jumped from that height and was fine despite having zero knowledge on this stuff. Not to be nitpicky, though, just my two cents. It was terrifying, I'm super impressed that you've jumped from 18 metres. How long did you hesitate before, if at all?
@@gabriel62 I was used to doing a jump from 12m at the same location, so it wasn’t a completely new environment, however I still thought about for awhile, I’m not going to lie. And then a buddy of mine did and I was just like, “Ok, if he can do it I can” so I just got up to the edge, looked down once, stepped back, took a big step forward (because there some rocks that you had to clear on your way down) pushed off the edge with one foot, and then just concentrated on keeping my body steady in the air with my arms. I crossed my legs but forgot (or didn’t have time) to tuck my arms when I hit the water. This forced my shoulders to literally smack right off my ears and when I resurfaced I instantly felt a lot of pain and discomfort in both shoulders. They hurt for like, a week afterwards too probably lol

I’m so scared of heights 😢 I wanted to do something extreme (for me lol) and crossed the suspended bridge at Coaticook. I cried, yelled, said 3 prayers while crossing it, but didn’t go back the same way, I took the forest path to return🙏😱😭 Meanwhile people were taking selfies like it was another boring day in their lives. 😮 It’s so annoying! Even in the forest on a mini steep path I crawl 😅
