Review: Carscope tyre dressing applicator - is this the best on the market?

  • I love the look of freshly dressed tyres....but I also loath dressing them as I end up scraping my knuckles and getting covered in product due to the rubbish foam applicators. So when I saw this clever little brush I thought "that needs trying". In this video I show you how I got on and give my verdict.
    The Brush (now available through in2detailing, so I've linked to that instead as you may want other stuff in your order [and therefore not have to pay shipping twice]) bit.ly/3ROMVbt

    Look like a handy little gadget! Just ordered a couple to try. I normally use the Meguiars applicator but always struggle at the bottom of my tyres as they're low profile's! I like your yellow mats under the tyres, i had a similar idea using some tree felling shims like little ramps so it's easier to clean the bottom of the tyre walls and keep away from the ground!

      I've been really impressed with it as an applicator, I've bought another one so I've got different ones for different dressings (on cheap details I use Gyeon Express as it can on wet tyres, for higher level ones I use Gyeon Tire Q2, which needs dry wheels.
      Those floor tiles are absolutely brilliant, they make such a huge difference to being able to get the tyre cleaned and dressed.

    i brought this product while back its awesome ... being a part time valeter i found after snow foam and hand wash then rinse off dry wheels and tyres off first then add your choice of dressing then dry off rest of car that way it will give dressing to bond to tyre 👍

    • @SuperchargedLlama

      That's a good time saving tactic, I'll give that a go. For my base level detail I use Gyeon Tire express which can go on wet tyres too....but it only lasts a week or so at the best of times.

      I've just been wiping the excess off with a microfiber I've used in the rest of the detail and was going to get a wash. I used a bit of kitchen roll the first time as I was interested to see how much product got pulled out. Not too much was the answer, so MF cloth is what I went for. If it was loads of product them I'd stick with the kitchen roll. 👍

    @DesmondHughes Před 8 měsíci +1

    What are those yellow pads under your tires and what’s their purpose??

    • @SuperchargedLlama
      @SuperchargedLlama  Před 8 měsíci

      They're vented garage floor tiles, it keeps the tires off the ground enough to be able to clean all the way around them and then dress them without having to move the car.
      You can get Rim-mats now, but they didn't exist back then...and these are a LOT cheaper. Also works well on gravel driveways as it stops the stones and mud shooting up on the wheel.
