  • I go over the wiring and settings in the software as well for it in this video. Im really glad this one works i can move forward after 2 years to get the panels back on the bike.

    Can you explain on the three speed settings on the very right side you write 100 to low and mid and high for 0, what is that for? And pls explain the other settings on parameter 1

      right column disreguard use the left column to do the speed controle just do the settings i have set and youll be ok. You can increase or decrease the left side For the speed (road test) you want the bike to go per speed, Lower percentage is slower , to pair with HDC and the controller will actually try to keep the speed constant up and down a hill through all 3 speeds. If you feell it do that its normal and be glad its working. Dont forget the current is going to be based on what your battery can handle

    hello i have a votol em-100s and running with qs motor v4 3kw 10 inch. what settings are best for it? am on a 96v molicel 29.4Ah

      The tire to get the best speed needs to be 130/70-12. If you bought it from QSmotor you can contact Harry at sales@QSmotor.com and ask him what the settings should be and he can send you a file to load to the controller if you bought a true voltol controller it should be programmable. Odd they are not showing the settings for the motor on thier website. With that battery capacity you are only going to get about 24 to 27 miles it may be a bit more with the motor only being a 3k.
      Youll need:
      the rotation speed
      Phase Angle
      Hall Sensor Number (how many)
      HDC hill assist should be ON (check mark in the box) and set rotation maybe around 1200 to 1300 for that wheel. For my 5K its about 1550 but i had it made for speed and less torque when i ordered it from QSmotor.
      Base current for speed 1 2 3 ,only if your battery and wire can handle it (90 amps for sport mode) 60 to 70 amps should be a good number for across the board all speeds except sport mode its a current set alone.

    hey let me get this right. I just started watching your channel. so right now your programming an em 150 with a 5 K motor? or using it with the stock. I'm sorry I'm just trying to get this right. because I actually have the Qs 2000 Watt motor. and I'm wanting to overvolt it. so I was wondering if I can use the em 150 with it?

      all the parts have been replaced and is no longer stock.
      5000 watt QSmotor
      EM-150SP motor controller
      2 24 amp hour lithium batteries each one has it own bms 80 amp rated. Im running the batteries at 21S 88.4 volts full charged I built the batteries myself with LGMH1 18650s.
      No you can not use the stock motor with the EM-150 with out having problems Ive been there and done that and damaged one controller, had to replace it - not fun. The stock motor is not compatible with flux weakening or break regeneration. The unknowns are the pole pair number and the max rotation along with what phase angle the stock motor is meant to run on. Your best off to replace it.
      Yes you can keep the lead acid batteries and upgrade the motor and controller but the stock batteries will not safely handle more that 30 amps and the stock wire for the batteries are under rated as well.

      If you want to save some money you can get the 3000 watt V4 and the Votol EM-100 but the current will need to be set at 35 amps because of the batteries and the wire for the batteries will need to be upgraded. Honestly i would not want to run any more than 20 amps from the stock batteries.
      Overvolting will only get you more speed. Hope this helps.
      Oh yeah one more thing if you do an order for a motor make sure and tell them if you want it set for speed or power.
      Dont trust aliexpress what ever you do.

      @@christianpaulroldan4010 yes 72 volt actual is 20s 4.2 x 20 84 volts the controller max voltage for the em-150 is 90 volts. Im doing 21s

      @@christianpaulroldan4010 yes the higher voltage is lower current but with the em-150 if you set it at 88 volts (21s) and 110 amp that is what it is going to do. Do not skimp on wire 110 amp is no joke a high grade 4 awg flex cable short run would be ok but 0 awg would be better. lower voltage drop and better efficiency.

      no your specs are going to be based on your motor and your battery. For the motor the Phase angle, Pole Pair count and rotation speed. HDC needs to be enabled if it has this function. Is the motor flux weakening compatible? If not disable this function. Is it regeneration compatible? If not disable this as well. Its not fun for your wheel to random lock up when you let off the throttle or go to stop. Now for your battery ok 60 volts what S series is it to get the 60 volts is that nominal or fully charged? If it is 13s Litium-Ion its not 60 volts its 54.6 volts fully charged (chn ah likes to lie and round up to charge more for thier stuff) then you need to find the spec for the cells to get a base line on how much power they can handle if it is actuall 10 amp cells do not exceed 7 amp per cell in a parallel set. If your using lead acid batteies dont bother with 50 amp cause they will never handle the power well and shorten the life of them from over heating in fact ide strongly recommend no more than 20 to 25 amps on a 40 amp hour lead acid they wont run you very far on that much current as well. Lead acid battery times 4 is 58.4 volts fully charged.

      most yes but not the current and also depends on the hub motor you have and the batteries. The em-50 is going to be on the weak side for hills and slower. You may want to consider getting at least the em-100 and for god sake do not buy from aliexpress and the seller Saiyco. They never admitted there was a problem with what I bought from them and i still have not got my money back. QSmotor is the way to go and get it straight from their website. Do a video and let me see what you got if you already have em-50.
