Inviting Alex to host Homeworthy was a stroke of genius. Please bring him back for more.
He is absolutely delightful to watch! 🏆🫶🏽💖
Please explain the bidding process since it was mentioned so much
@@susanvelez6534 These were items they purchased at auction -and they referenced the estate auctions by top designers that they knew such as William Hodgins (Hodgins was an Architectural Digest, AD100 decorator once described as “a beacon of American Classicism.” ) and Mario Buatta (egend Mario Buatta, affectionately known in the design industry as the "Prince of Chintz"Chris and Alex were likely on the phone doing live bidding with the auction houses.
I agree!
YES! I couldn’t agree more!!!
I could watch Alex Papachristidis all day

I so enjoyed this Homeworthy! I'm so happy that Mr. Papachristidis is now a part of the HW cast. Christopher Spitzmiller's home is lovely as is he!
"Everyday is all we have." I love that!
2 wonderful men, old friends, chatting and reminiscing in a beautiful setting. Sublime!

" We Believe Every Home Has A Story " This Is Why We Believe In Homeworthy Episodes ❤
Alex was phenomenal ---and just nuts about Christopher's talent, decor and hospitality. Wonderful wonderful episode.
Completely agree!!!!!
I love how kind you are to each other. Wouldn’t the world be perfect if it took a leaf out of your book!!!
This is a good interview because they are both maximalists. They appreciate and understand one another's style. These two were so gracious and kind, with such a long history and friendship.
This pairing for this tour was a stroke of genius. I loved the tour and the tea.
The squash walls, the book, the cookies, the thoughtful and kind conversation, the wardrobe, pottery and so much more. When I found your book at my local Cape Cod library I died and went to heaven! Thank you for this informative and fun video.🧡
Alex as host, DEVINE !!!!
*divine
She might have been referring to Andy, although I don’t believe Andy was much into decorating.
@@craftsmanctfl3493 I WAS SAYING THAT ALEX IS DIVINE, THE “E” WAS A TYPO
@@mauigirl3932 I know. It just made me think of the old actor in Westerns, Andy Devine, sidekick to Hopalong Cassidy!
The singing cowboy, who struck gold with his song I'm back in the saddle again Wonderful memories
I just LOVE everything about Alex!!!! He did a great job!!
I absolutely love the relaxed, friendly high camp humour. Alex is a joy as the host - a real master stroke. So thank you Homeworthy. Christopher has also done a terrific job on his N. Y. pied-a-terre. A thoroughly enjoyable episode and certainly one of the very best. Greetings and thank you from Shropshire.
High camp. I love it! Spot on.
Do you know those people who used to wait outside of the Best Buy to get the new iPhone, that was me with this episode of homeworthy. Can’t wait to watch.
I am so glad we finally got to meet precious talented Chris because we heard about his lamps on other videos….HE IS A DOLL…..now I want to buy one of his lamps….and he makes chocolate chip cookies….the perfect man. Hugs carolyn
What a wonderful way to start the day. Alex brings great humour to the house tour. Love the friendship between Alex and Chris.Such talented men❤
I absolutely love the conversation between these two decorating legends …one feels like you are sitting with them in comfort and relaxation … they are both so humble but so much knowledge of things and people in the industry. The respect, kindness, friendship and support between them is palpable. ‘LOVE them both! 🎉❤ Thank them both so very much! 😊
Well said! Yes, I agree!
Well done Homeworthy!!! So much more interesting when it’s a conversation between people vs. someone on their own!! and when its Alex - well heck he was born to host a show!!! As Alex would say “DIVINE!!!”
I enjoyed Alex's featured home. Getting to meet Chris and seeing his home, with Alex, is such a treat and an inspiration. They are what you see, two talented, affable friends. Great stories of the "greats" of interior design (including themselves). So much fun to watch, listen to, learn from. I can now justify my fondness for lamps, chairs and so many objets.
I loved the intro 😂 Alex is another favorite Homeworthy feature. I too would love to see more of Alex! Lovely home and homeowner with exquisite taste! I’m checking my book collection now to see if I have his book. I want that cookie recipe and his lamps! Loved this so much!
This is the best home tour I have ever seen: its all so insider and chic, and charming. Its like being there with these two friends and legends of design. Super fabulous.
Excellently presented by Alex! And Chris's home is a treasure!
Well quoted... Everyday is all we have!
Alex is an amazing host. I hope he becomes a regular in these interviews.
How fun to be a fly on the wall for an afternoon with Alex and Chris!!! I feel completely relaxed although cookie deficient 😉 Beautiful home, Alex! So elegant and familiarly comfortable. Hope the pups had fun too! Thank you!
Loved that little blooper at the beginning! 😁 Gorgeous space, lovely people; what more do we want………!
How immensely delightful! My mouth could not stop smiling ear to ear the whole time. You two are a match made in the eternal heavens. True design royalty!
I love the beginning!!!!!😂 can't wait to finish this video !!!
Christopher Spitzmiller is so damn handsome! He has a great sense of style and taste in decor.
The lovely brown fabric permeating his bedroom reminds me very much of the unique decor within the legendary, late, Babe Paley's New York apartment. The taste with which this Home was decorated is both memorable and divine. 🖤
thats a good reference on the fabric -you are right, I can see that. Thank you!
I loved everything about this. The elegant, yet cozy townhouse. The friendship. Fanny and Cooper, could they be any cuter!! This is one of my favorite episodes and I am going to order the book! 💗
Love the space! As a landlord myself, I'd ABSOLUTELY LOVE a 23 year tenant! Oh that's the goal!
Omg - this is the best. Like Golden Girls w/ decorating. Alex's enthusiasm/ affection of Chris' work is infectious.
Absolutely delightful. I could listen to these two all day!

I love Alex, and can't get enough of him, so that was a treat. Chris's lamps are amazing, I liked his relaxed, colourful house too including the organic yolk colour on the walls.

These are the people I like to watch and whose homes I like to see, designers.
Fabulous home, thank you for sharing.🐶
This was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for showing such a beautiful home in such a comfortable manner. ❤
I love that Amazon was not mentioned once! It’s truly a collected home that has been 23 years in the making.
I loved seeing the friendship between Christopher and Alex and Christophers apartment is gorgeous. When they discussed Mario Buatta and Albert Hadley I was in heaven. Two of my all-time favorite classic decorators. They were so lucky to know them. The items they got at auctions were amazing.
I freely admit to loving lamps with great shades crowned with a perfect finial. I'm lucky I inherited and was able to collect wonderful lamps for my home. Polished marble, Chinese and Japanese porcelain, alabaster, American 1940s pottery and a great bronze 3 arm floor lamp from the 1920s. Overhead light is fine but lamps add something more subtle that doesn't come from a ceiling fixture.
Spitzmiller lamps are way expensive but with a careful eye there are bargains to be had with older lamps; some re-wiring and a new shade and you have a new treasure. I've re-wired many lamps. I'm glad he's brought lamps back when they seemed to be fading from view.
Love Alex and everything he does
Love watching both of these guys. Alex hosting was just wonderful. Chris just always seems to be a true and genuine guy. Would love to just sit and listen to their stories.
Two of my favorite Homeworthy alums in one video…? What a great way to wrap up a day.
Perfect classical 🧡 I’ve always admired his gorgeous lamps.
love love loooove that yellow on the walls
I love the yellow in the living room; it's a great apartment. One of my favorites
“Talk about egg waiting to hatch” 😂😂😂😂
Omg so happy to see Alex hosting. Him and his partner have my favourite apartment in all of homeworthy land!!! His personality and knowledge is so outstanding 😊💜
Wonderful in every way possible. Beautiful home.
What a fun video! Just loved Alex and his conversations with his friend Christopher. Would love to see more of Alex.
Great conversation between two gentlemen who just ooze style!! Thank you for doing this!!
I love both of you!! So much fun!!!
Love this apt and the Potter Christopher was great.
Alex is such a great host, and I just love him. Chris is gracious and very down to earth. Two very lovely, sweet men.
A lovely apartment and a gracious host~
Loooooove this apartment! Every aspect of it! From the location to the collections to the COLORS to the thought that’s gone into its creation over 23 years. LOVE IT. It’s a home in the middle of the city. Although if there is anywhere I’d love to live in Manhattan it would be the UES in the 70’s (went to school many years ago on 70th and Madison ) oh what name dropping ! Mon Dieu ! Albert Hadley Bunny Williams Sister Parish Mario Buatto the Prince of Chintz Nancy Lancaster (yellow 😊 my favorite color ) Colfax & Fowler. Did my heart good to hear those great legendary names. Loved the synergy between Alex and Christopher. And love Fanny I have a Blenheim named Cholly as in Cholly Knickerbocker 😉
This video is fantastic. So much fun. I learned a lot.
