Seriously, Alex Papachristidis is soooo charming! He had to have been raised by lovely people. I loved when he said that everyday use items should be beautiful! He’s so right! They should! From now on, I am going to keep my eyes open for fabulous replacements for my everyday items!

I loved that Alex said “everything you use every day should be beautiful!” I could not agree more. When my mother died we found the most beautiful items that she was saving, as she would say “for good”. It made me so sad. We should enjoy things that we love and make us happy every day! I enjoyed his personality and his style!

I use my grandmother's silverware daily. She only used it for holidays and special occasions.

I couldn’t agree more. I use my fine china for enjoying breakfast every weekend. I don’t have time to sit down for a meal during the week, so every weekend IS a special occasion for me 😁

LOve you Alex. We are kindred souls . I am a retired Architect -Designer and my fate in life is i am "uber organized" just like you so i love to see your ideas you use for organization. Bravo Alex, My favorite color since i was a young child was and still is Purple . My mother was not a happy camper because she felt back then it was an " old ladies color"..Now i am an "old lady" and i still love it and use in both in clothing and Design..Love all your videos.. Do not stop now. I am always on the look out for your next one.

It never occurred to me to mix china until I found this channel. I inherited my parents’s china and bought another set at an estate sale decades ago. They have absolutely nothing to do with each other. But I just put them together and was amazed at how pretty they look...the juxtaposition really makes each pattern pop.

As I turn 70 and have inherited my mother AND grandmother’s silver, crystal etc and have my own as well, I am using it all every day from now on! More work as I have to hand wash, but I enjoy it so much!

Purple can be used as a neutral.
Deep purple walls look good. The light purple upholstery at the dining with silver design sets off the dark walls well.
Re-watching & indulging on the old vids.....Alex's dinner table makes my wardrobe and jewelry box look impoverished.

There is not one single solitary piece I didn’t love. Would love to spend a day at his home going thru all the cupboards and drawers and listen to all the stories. You both are so right if you find something you love buy more. I’ve done this for years and when accidents happen it’s not so much of a drama.

Oh my! I swear Alex Papachristidis must be related to me in some way..I love everything he does, we like exactly all the same things..Every word he talks about with decorating and everything he loves, sounds just like me..Sometimes I feel so alone with what I love in decorating, or my love for animals, the outdoors, all the lovely flowers in the gardens, all the trees...I love books, especially old books, the smell of an old book can get me to another place and time and I love a sunny room, it's brings me so much joy.....I never came across anyone like Alex, that loves exactly everything I do..I have been a big Fan of Blue and White china, and anything Blue and White for 43 years..For those 43 years I have never given up my Blue and White decor, I just love it! Everyone I know, being friends or family have changed their decor with what's new or what's been happening at that time..I always stood at what I love, and always surround myself with things I love..The unique and unusual pieces, or things I always keep an eye out for..I love the hunt for things like that, it brings me joy!...Alex you just became my new best ever designer, I can't tell you enough what it means to me to find someone exactly like me..Except for one thing, I'm not wealthy, but my home looks like it does because of my expensive taste and good eye...I go for the hunt for things not many people have, and I can paint , which makes some of my things no one has..I make things that are one of a kind, because they are mine alone.. With videos like yours, my eyes are wide open! I see things, that I know are great, and not everyone will have but maybe me!...I'm always looking at decorating videos, to try and find any designer that's on the same page as me, so to speak..But I'm always clicking it off to see what will really catch my eye...And there you were! I am such a Fan now, I will watch your decor videos, read books whatever it has to do with your designs..Finally I found someone exactly like me! You don't know how good this has made me feel...Are you sure we are not related?!!!

Wow! Such beautiful combinations; the colors just sing! I love unusual things. Back when snail mail was more of a thing, I was a Museum Store Catalogue Queen. Rather than bemoan the curse of expensive taste with a tight budget, with a bit of study I developed an eye for things with a quality look, whether found at a swap meet, thrift store, garage sale, discount store, or high end shop or gallery. A favorite more recent splurge was a set of dessert plates with different native California animal (Bear, mountain lion, weasel, deer) images from the mural at the Ahwanee Hotel at Yosemite, bought in their gift shop. The beauty of things is enhanced when they evoke special memories.
